Options: Finished in polar white and tan leather upholstery, this VERY CLEAN 2004 Volvo S80 features about everything that you expect in this Swedish sport sedan beginning with the smooth and responsive 2.9 L DOHC 6-cylinder teamed with a 4-speed automatic transaxle, driver, passenger, side and roof SRS (air bags), automatic climate control featuring a factory R134a refrigerant charge, 4-wheel ABS (anti-lock brakes), Volvo’s own SIPS (Side Impact Protection System), factory sunroof, power windows, central locking system, power mirrors, power seats, factory alloy wheels, factory sound system, 4-wheel disc brakes, cruise control, rear window defroster, folding rear seats, driver’s information center, service reminder system, factory security system, and much more!   Yet ANOTHER Clean Southern Ride!   This vehicle is riding on a very good set of Michelin® tires. Service and Inspection Report – Value Added: We brought this clean Volvo in for service and found that the prior owner had taken great care of the car.  It appears to have been regularly serviced and traded in about the time that you would normally do a major service on the vehicle. We stared by installing a NEW TIMING BELT, TENSIONER and IDLER PULLEY.  These are the major components of the timing belt system.  That’s done for you.  While doing timing belts, we replace spark plugs since it is a good time to freshen up everything on the engine.  We installed Denso® brand plugs so you won’t have to be concerned with that service, either. We changed the engine air filter and vacuumed the road debris that can accumulate in the air box. It appears that the prior owner had recently done an oil change and the oil looks clean. We also noted that the idler wheel on the serpentine belt was a bit noisy at startup (that’s the part that keeps the belt tensioned) so we replaced the idler wheel and bearing assembly. Moving along to the chassis, the front brakes were about half worn so we replaced front brake rotors and pads.  The rear brakes were about half worn too, so we replaced the rear pads. Moving along the outside of the vehicle, we installed new wiper blades, front and rear, and also on the headlight wipers. We finished up this vehicle be changing the cabin air filter.  It is a job that you want done every year and we’ve taken care of that for you. Service and Inspection Report – Value Added: We brought this clean Volvo in for service and found that the prior owner had taken great care of the car.  It appears to have been regularly serviced.   Since we could not verify the mileage for the last timing belt, we did the service.  Doing the job right, we installed NEW CAM SEALS, NEW VVT O-RINGS, NEW TIMING BELT, tensioner and idler wheel.  When we do timing belts, we replace the spark plugs and we installed a new set of Denso® brand plugs.  That’s a major service and it’s done for you!   Using our Snap-On Solus® diagnostic scanner, we noticed some shift solenoid codes which are common on the AW-55 transmission.  What happens is that the electronic shift solenoids stick and the shift quality is not as good as when new.  However, the transmissions in these vehicles can go a long time with service.  So, we replaced the electronic shift solenoids in the valve body and did a complete transmission fluid change using the correct Mobile 3309 fluid.  This procedure took care of the codes, and now shifts as designed.   Test driving the vehicle after the transmission service, we noticed a slight vibration at highway speeds under load.  That’s a sign of the drive axle needing service, so we replaced both front drive axles with remanufactured units.  No more vibration!   While changing the drive axles, we changed the top engine mount as well as the lower right.  Over time both are about ready for change at this mileage and we did both of them for you.    The prior owner had recently done an oil change and the service label indicates that the next oil change is at 149k miles.   On the chassis, we noted a noise from the front suspension and traced it down to the coil spring mount.  We pulled both struts and replaced the mounts and bearings for you – no more noise.   While we had the vehicle apart for service, we noted that the vehicle had close to new brakes, front and rear.   Moving along the outside of the vehicle, we installed new wiper blades, front and rear.   As we drove the vehicle, the climate control worked fine but we heard the occasional chirp noise from the blower motor.  So, yes we did, we replaced the blower motor so that you wouldn’t have to be bothered by the job.   We finished up this vehicle be changing the cabin air filter.  It is a job that you want done every year and we’ve taken care of that for you.   Shop around and then ADD IT UP!  Why buy one that needs work?  How much will that cost you in addition to the car itself?  The items that we serviced would easily cost you $4,500 if you did all of this after the sale.    You can always pay less.  Just click the “back” button and buy something else?  However, if you are looking for a better value, buy from Grove.  That’s the Grove Automotive Group, Inc. difference. Hi! Thanks for looking. I am selling my mother's 1995 Volvo 960 with 88,693 miles. This is a rare car to find nowadays with such low mileage. My mother has owned the car since 2006 and prior to her there was only one owner. The car runs great and shifts great, however, it will need a few minor repairs. My mother rarely drives the car - hence the low mileage. The car also sat for 18 months and then taken to the shop last month where the windshield was replaced, fresh oil change, new battery, and new hood arm. The vehicle has just passed Massachusetts inspection. Please note - Driver side auto-lock. Remote will lock and unlock, but only the driver side door doesn't unlock. The driver side door was replaced after a minor collision in 2012. The paint has deep scratches due to snow being removed with a shovel. SEE PICTURES! Air Conditioning - needs to be repaired. This is, unfortunately, the end of my love affair with a car whose color I selected as a small child! Every 4-5 year old boy in 1978 would have preferred the sleek space age silver to the burgundy version, right? This is a car that would I keep up if not for a few changes in MY life circumstance: a now very, very rare 200-series model, the 264 GL! This one-family car has at most 130,000 miles on it, but it is probably closer to 110,000. The odometer has been stuck at about ~98,000 for a few years, but driving since then has been minimal. It drove me to school for a couple years in the late naughties, but before hadn't really been a daily driver since the early 1990s and even then it had lead a pampered life. The car was in very good condition before being taken off the road a few years back. I have started it a few times since then, but my most recent attempts, using a new battery, adding some new gasoline+ STP water treatment, as well as starting fluid have only given me about 20 seconds of running time. I assume that there are parts of the fuel system that should be drained and/or replaced and that the engine will then run. In any case, this is a one-of-kind parts or project car that I desperately want to go to a Volvo lover who can make the most of its next life. Some details: -leather front seats with some leak-based water damage, backseat was replaced with vinyl about 15 years ago -the plastic door pockets in the front are missing -the overdrive with the electric switch is not working and has always been temperamental. -the B27F was re-built around 65,000 miles. The car has had Amsoil synthetic oil used in the engine (after a flush), the tranny, and the rear end for nearly 10 years - service records are included in the sale, for sure up to 2002 and I think I will be able to add the records since then -Haynes, Chilton, and Autobooks manuals for the 264 and the original Volvo owners manual -driver's side rocker panel is rusted through and the floor pans for both front seats should be replaced. It has lived most of its life in metro Washington DC, with breaks of a few years in Northampton, Massachusetts (where, IIRC, road salt is eschewed in favor of a less caustic alternative) and Chapel Hill, NC. -the sunroof has been sealed for nearly 20 years. It was lovely, but it is prone to leaks and now rust -the windshield, trunk, and other rubber seals obviously need replacement and have nascent run issues. Of course, this is the accursed B27F engine, and it has in fact outlived most B2XX cars including most of the famous 240 series. But because the engine is probably not worth saving, this is may be an ideal project car, assuming that the structural stuff all checks out. A short stroke aluminum block with drive train, like the Mustang V-8 with drive train would be very close to the original soul of this car but give it more HP and a deeper run of parts. Also, remember this car shares some parts overlap with among the most collectible of older Volvos: 262C, 264 TE, and 164. Those cars are valuable enough that the business of spares actually might work in the future. I'm happy to respond to questions. I'll entertain serious offers, but the one thing any serious offer requires is a tow truck/flat-bed pick up. I really don't want anyone to risk using it on the road until it has a clean bill of health. That PV 544 is NOT for sale.

Turbo + raised boost from 10.5 to 14 PSI, bumping the 760 Turbo's horsepower from 160 to 175. Setting the car apart visually were stylish multi-spoke wheels, an inch wider than standard at 15 x 7, although tire size remained 205/60HR-15. Changes on all 1989 780s were limited to "VOLVO" front fender badges (covering holes for Euro-market side markers) and memory glide front seatbacks that returned to their previous position after being tilted. 1995 Volvo 850 station wagon. 143,000 miles. 5-speed manual transmission. Gray cloth interior in excellent condition. Traction control Draw-Tite trailer hitch (3,500lb trailer weight, 300lb tongue weight) with wiring adapter so you can connect trailer lights without sending the bulb-out-detector into a tizzy. Car is currently registered in New Hampshire, but was last titled in Massachusetts. Stereo is an aftermarket Alpine head unit with AM/FM/CD/MP3/iPod playback. Front door speakers are A/D/S 5" coxial two-way speakers. Tires are Bridgestone Blizzak WS-70 snow tires mounted on the original factory 15" steel wheels. They've been run for two winters already and should have a third winter left in them. I also have a set of Sumitomo HTR A/S P01 tires mounted on 16" Volvo alloy wheels that the buyer has the option to purchase for $500. The summer tires are NOT included in the price for the car. Car is in good running condition. Body is in good condition with only a couple of small rust bubbles near the rear window which have been treated with touch-up paint. There are scratches on the roof, and some paint issues on the plastic trim on the right side below the doors. There is also a very small dent on the left-rear door. There is a slow leak in the power steering (I usually add fluid about once a month), and a very slow antifreeze leak (I usually add antifreeze about once every three months). Like most of Volvo's 5-cylinder engines, there is some oil consumption....I have to add a quart about every 1,000 to 1,500 miles. Air conditioning works well, but was converted to R134a, and it has had to be recharged about once a year. You will probably need to recharge it in the spring. Brakes work well with plenty of pad left at all wheels. Clutch and A/C evaporator was replaced in 2008 at 65,000 miles. New radiator in 2009 at 78,000 miles. Front suspension was replaced in 2011 at 110,000 miles. Timing belt was replaced May 2014 at 140,000 miles. New exhaust (cat-back) installed in May 2014 at 140,000 miles. Just installed a new ball-joint/lower control arm on the right side. New MAF sensor, ignition coil, spark plug wires, distributor cap & rotor and spark plugs. Overall, this car is in exceptional mechanical and physical condition for a 20-year-old car. I'm primarily selling because we just don't need it any more, and I need to cut down on the number of cars I own. I am the car's second owner. Although the mileage is very low for it's age, the car has been in the Boston area for all of it's 20 years, and there is some rust on the underside. 1995 was also the very last model year before Volvo went to OBD-II, so this car does NOT require a Volvo Scan Tool for diagnostics or repair.

I picked up the car on a friday and had to return to the dealership Monday to pick up the new registration and sticker. I had my last LS serviced by IRA and was really pleased with the speed, quality and ease of getting loaner cars. We have owned the car for 10 years, with 8 years' experience successfully running dual fuels on this car's system. All straight vegetable oil (SVO) conversion controls are in-dash, and system needed no maintenance in over a decade except for one metal fuel line we replaced recently. All accessory parts were American-sourced if possible (Ward 1/8" black metal pips, for example). Sunroof: manual crank style doesn't leak except in high powered car washes. Recent glow plugs and replaced some heated conversion metal fuel lines' heaters' wrapping. OEM factory standard diesel engine block heater. Tire tread is good. Typically corroded Volvo aluminum alloy wheels with full size matching spare tire. Custom trim-matched light brown fabric dash cover covers the usual dash crack(s). OEM Volvo brand front and rear winter floor mats (well worn on driver's side only; others excellent). Manual factory sunroof with spare crank mechanism and handle. Class 2 small size square receiver trailer hitch with safety pin and conventional 4-wire flat towing wiring connector in trunk. Currently servicing diesel fuel injection pump back to specs after storage for 2-3 winters and summers caused it's failure. Virtually zero rust on the entire car: only expected surface corrosion exists where bare metal exposed (road nicks, scratches, etc). The most solid Volvo diesel car body we've owned after more than a half-dozen Volvo diesels owned by our organization!
