Letting go of one’s baby is never an easy decision. I’ve had just over 2k beautiful miles in my 65 BDR Shelby Cobra replica and I have decided it’s probably time to sell her to a fellow enthusiast. I purchased this car new in Florida in 2008 from Backdraft Racing, who undeniably makes some of the finest Cobra replicas in the world. This Cobra is Avis Blue with pearl white racing stripes, and it is a shining example of Backdraft's craftsmanship and superb engineering. Under the bonnet is a 345 BHP 302 CID built by Ford Racing, coupled with a World Class T5 Transmission and hydraulic lifters. I installed a Holley Avenger carb, and recently replaced the master slave clutch cylinder. New Kumho racing tires were installed when I had the oil changed by F1 Racing in Naples, FL. The black leather interior features adjustable seats and four-point Simpson racing harnesses for the driver and passenger. Options when I purchased the car include full disc brakes, complete 3M paint protection and sealant, oil cooler, a tonneau cover to beat the sun on warmer days, and a heater for cold ones. I also have the complete owner / repair mannual for this car. Everything about my Cobra is first class. It even won best in class at a 700 car show in 2013. Driving, you feel connected to the car, and the car to the road in a manner I never thought possible. I’m thankful for the time my wife and I have enjoyed it, and I’m looking forward to letting someone else do the same. This car must be shipped in an enclosed vehicle transport truck. This is an exquisite show car with an extraordinary quality of build and beautifully finished thick clear coat black paint with painted silver stripes. Driven only locally around the neighborhood.
