Very rare, show winner, drive anywhere. It was the featured vehicle on December's cover of Florida's magazine, "Mike Kelly's Cruise News," as well as many other Nationally publicized magazines since restoration. Originally from CA and a high-end custom build some 12-15 yrs. ago. Chevy 350 crate, 350 turbo automatic, headers, Flowmasters, front disk brakes, AC, boxed frame, Mustang II front suspension, rack and pinion steering, 9-in. Ford rear end with air shocks, custom built gas tank, Stewart Warner gauges, bluetooth/remote radio, underbody LEDs, and new tires and wheels- Boyd Coddinton, "Junk Yard Dogs." We drove this home from Nebraska to Florida last summer and has been driven every weekend all over Florida to car shows without one problem. The speedometer doesn't work- we've not diagnosed it because I'd just prefer to use my phone's GPS app for more accuracy. Everything else works great- AC/heat, horn, turn signals, etc. Due to the age of the restoration and it's a driven car, don't expect a "trailer queen." There are minor nicks, a few cracks in the paint, all of which are so minor, I can't capture in a photo and it still wins top awards. It drives and rides like a new car. I love the fact that there's so much room to bring along a mobility scooter, chairs, luggage, coolers, etc. to your next car show. It's rare to see other sedan deliveries at a car shows, but I've never seen another DODGE sedan delivery, especially from this era.- she gets a lot of looks!I have a folder with all of the paperwork since the restoration from the previous owners. The body is a '53, but if you know your Chevys, you've already spotted the 1949 Chevy front fenders, the frenched 1954 taillights, and the Corvette Millennium Yellow paint. Together, they make for one of the most remarkable delivery trucks we've ever seen. Check out how the rear fenders were molded into the bodywork, the frenched headlights and antenna, and the shaved trim. Even close up, you'll be impressed by the bodywork, which is laser-straight, even on those large side panels, which are just waiting for your business's logo to do some work. The finish is brilliant, deep, and shiny, probably better than it looked on the Corvette, making this a very high-visibility hot rod. The trim that was left on the car, most notably the grille and bumpers, were painted to match, giving it a monochromatic look that works rather well, but details like the windshield surround, door handles, and side mirrors remain bright, shiny metal just for a little contrast. Yeah, these guys knew what they were doing when they put this one together. Forget putting this hauler to work, because the interior is just beautifully crafted. Late-model bucket seats are wrapped in attractive tan upholstery that looks brand new. Nice door panels have a vintage look and retain the original door hardware, tying everything together neatly. The dash is actually pretty stock, with a full array of VDO gauges stuffed into the original housing using a custom billet panel. There's also a woodgrained wheel on a tilt column, a custom enclosure for the Vintage Air A/C system, and a fabricated center console with an OEM shifter for the 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. For true utility, a pair of bucket seats were installed as a second row, so this is no longer purely a 2-seater and there's still a cavernous cargo bay that's as nicely upholstered as the rest of the interior. Overhead there's a custom console that stretches all the way back and an AM/FM/cassette stereo system provides plenty of entertainment, say, at a tailgate party. The 350 cubic inch V8 is from a late 70s Camaro and has been rebuilt with a few choice upgrades to make it powerful as well as reliable. An Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and matching intake manifold make it torquey and smooth, and just about everything you can see or touch under the hood is new. Billet valve covers and a matching air cleaner give it a custom look and details like the brake booster and master cylinder that have been painted to match the body are a nice touch. A big aluminum radiator keeps it cool and the aforementioned 700R4 transmission means it's an effortless cruiser, especially with highway-friendly gears out back. A Fat Man Mustang II front suspension adds disc brakes and rack-and-pinion steering, so it feels quite modern, while the 10-bolt rear end hangs on traditional leaf springs. A custom dual exhaust system sounds throaty enough to suit its look and custom-painted Rally wheels and 225/70/15 BFG radials are the right choice. This truck is beautifully built and ready to cruise, and we can guarantee you'll never see another one quite like it. While externally it still sports all its original Henry Ford sheetmetal, underneath there's enough modern componentry to make it qualify for a new birth certificate. If you're looking for the ultimate hauler, you've just found it. Nobody's arguing that the 1940 Ford wasn't among the all-time great designs. Just look at values between 1940 and 1941 models; the '40s command a HUGE premium, so there's something to be said for this truck's classic good looks. It hasn't been chopped or modified, and it seems as if the bodywork is just the way the factory did it decades ago. It's got some age to it, so there's a nice patina, but this isn't a show truck. Instead, you can drive it anywhere without worries and for an old hauler, a few nicks and scratches are completely appropriate. It appears that the roof insert has been filled, which is no easy task, but the rest remains quite stock, from the simple bumpers to the chevron-style taillights that are a 1940 Ford trademark. The chrome has all been refinished at some point, mostly because it's just too nice to be original, and it includes the grille, which, on 1940 Ford commercial vehicles, was identical to the 1939 Deluxe grille. The interior is comfortable for two and thanks to a recent makeover, it's in outstanding condition. The twin bucket seats were borrowed from a late-model and there's a custom center console between them. Custom gray leather upholstery looks great with Ford script embroidered on the seat backs, as well as beautifully stitched door panels and matching carpets for a sophisticated look. The original dash has been fitted with a billet gauge panel full of handsome vintage-looking gauges from Classic Instruments. Other features include under-dash A/C, an AM/FM/cassette stereo neatly installed in the original radio's slot up high, and the original clock still in the glove box lid. A banjo-style steering wheel tops a tilt column, which is also enhanced by a gm-style shifter that manages the TH350 3-speed automatic transmission underneath. It's strictly a two-seater, but after you see the cargo bay and its beautiful polished oak floor, you won't mind a bit. There are also custom side panels that match the door panels and more Ford V8 embroidery to dress things up back there. The engine is a 350 cubic inch Chevrolet V8, which really shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Of course, it's been slathered in chrome for a crisp look, including Mickey Thompson finned valve covers, an Edelbrock air cleaner, and a chrome alternator. An Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor delivers the fuel mixture and gives it great throttle response and plenty of torque to move just about anything you can fit inside. The firewall has been smoothed and painted to match the bodywork and all the wiring and plumbing has been neatly routed to give the engine bay a neat, clean look. Underneath, the original frame has been reinforced and fitted with a Mustang II front suspension with power disc brakes and a neatly installed dual exhaust system that is muted but suitably authoritative. Out back, a GM 10-bolt rear hangs on leaf springs with modern tube-style shocks, so the ride is pretty comfortable and it feels far more modern than you'd think. Timeless chrome steelies with baby moon hubcaps are the right choice and wear 205/70/15 whitewall radials all around. Any 1940 Ford is a desirable machine, but the ultra-rare panel delivery is one of the greatest finds of all. A nice older build that can still be enjoyed, this is a lot of truck for the money. New 4 core radiator,vintage air with '57 correct controls and billet vents each side of the dash ,Dakota gages (glow red at night) 950 mile since install, new windshield wipers and transmissions,old style American mags ,front torsion bar and all new front bushings. The 400 small block preforms well and the 4 speed Muncie with a 12 bolt 411 posi-traction rear end makes it very quick from light to light but preforms well under normal condition too! New gas tank, butterfly in filler tube, 600 Holley,new horns,overhead console as well as between the seats console,red and white bucket seats, battery under deck at back of passenger seat. New speakers ,radio in the glove box. Tilt wheel ,the rear hatch needs work and a functioning lock but it does close and latch, windows are clear and gaskets are new, doors open and shut easily but passenger door will need a hinge. There is no rust and paint and chrome are shiny. This is a great car ,I enjoy driving it, it's really an eye catcher but lately it sits in the garage under the dryer vent and gets dusty. I have many parts including American Meter gages ,850 dual line double pumper holley ,both glove box inserts. Complete with red fuzzy mirror dice!

Frame off restoration, 1973 chevy camaro front clip, front disc brakes, power steering, power brakes, 1973 camaro rear end, 1965 chevy 283 completely rebuilt, turbo 350 transmission, no rust, body restored completely, new floor pans, new wheels and tires, rechromed bumpers, daily driver condition, everything is restored. there were only 9000 of these ever made in 1952. they were only sold to the commercial market like milk trucks or coffee companies. there can't be more than 100 if that many are still around. believe me, parts were not always easy to come by and the grill alone costs 850 bucks. this car is professionally done where instead of welding metal together permanently, we actually took the time to fabricate the piece and then bolt it on so you can remove it if need be. the front clip makes it drive like a solid front end with disc brakes, not like they originally came with and at freeway speeds it rides like any car today instead of the unsafe original that was not meant to do 75mph down a winding California road. to the best of our knowledge this is a California car. the front windshield is a split window which is rare as well. we are also a machine shop with skilled machinists that fabricated parts that could not be found. the paint is a new generation single stage paint which means any chip or scratch can be touched up at home and lightly sanded and polished instead of a two stage which must be base coat/clear coat. anyone would love this car and the two shows we took it to did not have a single one showing. you can pack the spacious rear with coolers, snacks, and a twin bed if you like and hit the car show circuit. when you pick it up you can see the two 59 el caminos we restored previous to this one. this thing is a steal.
