1966 PONTIAC GTO HARDTOP COUPE FOR SALE - GLADSTONE, NJIn 1964, Pontiac introduced a high-performance option package for its handsome and very popular LeMans model. Demand for this package was huge and in 1966 the GTO was officially made a Pontiac model. The buying public loved it. Ours is a full body-off-chassis restoration (with full photo documentation) finished in Jamaican Yellow with black--as original--Cordova top and matching black bucket-seat interior. Fitted with, as the song says “3 deuces, a 4-speed and a 389,” the car is fabulous to drive. Additional to the optional Cordova top and 4-speed manual transmission, the car was ordered new with the options of a push-button AM radio, wire wheels discs, “Wonder-touch” power steering and “Soft Ray” tinted windshield. All the mechanical are done to include; a newly rebuild rare 428 with a new Edelbrock carb, a M20 transmission, Car has new floor pans, front fenders, rear quarters, new springs shocks, Hooker headers, new exhaust, new Hays performance clutch, front disc brake conversion, stainless brake lines (front back), MSN ignition, new radiator, new heater core The gas tank was removed and a new heat blanket was installed between the tank and the trunk. All new gas and brake lines installed. The convertible top goes up and down well but needs a new motor and canvas. The car was painted this past summer. The front bumper is from a GTO.
