This is not a "barn find" it simply came from an elderly gentleman that was no longer driving the car and had kept very good maintenance on it. It is a 1965 Plymouth Fury I wagon with a 383 auto trans, the car has 98XXX on the odometer and runs great the brakes work good and the tires have nearly new tread, however i have not verified the age of them. the front seat was recovered at some time and the interior shows wear, but is useable as it is. The body is straight with some evidence of body work and a paint job in the past, there is a little rust in the rear quarters, the gas tank is damaged and leaked, I have patched the leak with loctite gas tank repair so that I could take the car for a little drive. I am more than willing to talk on the phone about the car just send me an email either with your name and number or I will give you my number. I don't want to sell someone something and when they get it there are surprises and disappointment, I want to be totally open and honest. There will be $500 deposit via paypal within 24 hours and the rest in cash at time of pickup or a check with time allowed for it to clear (7days) before shipping or handing over the car, keys and title.

I'm listing this car for my Dad and I will describe it as best I can. This is a California car brought to MI around '96. He bought it in 97 and its been garage kept with very few miles put on it. This is an all original complete 1968 sport fury convertible. H code 383 4 bbl original motor as far as I know. Power windows, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, power steering, power brakes, A/C, power top, power driver seat, bucket seats, console. It does need a little TLC, I did find a small tear(about 1 inch long) in the back seat. The paint is a 20 ft, paint job, looks great from 20 feet away. the only rust on the whole car is in the rear floor boards and is basically some pin holes that I cleaned the rust out and sealed, still very solid. He put a new top on with the glass rear window and also a new cover for when the top is down. The interior is in very nice condition but not perfect, the drivers door panel has some wear in the area where you'd rest your arm while driving and some faded or worn chrome in places. the dash pad looks to be in nice shape. a/c doesn't work. breaks work great but it does need a break booster. dash lights don't work either. Always starts right up, runs and drives good, we just drove it 250 miles from Indian River MI to my house in Gregory MI with no problems. It might need a tune up though because it does idle slightly rough. I was told the trans was rebuilt just before it was brought back from California but i cant confirm with receipts, I wouldn't even have mentioned it but even before I was told about it I kinda wondered because when i lifted it up on the hoist it looked very clean like a rebuild and the trans really shifts, down shifts and goes into gear very nice! there is also some spare parts in the trunk. looks like spare skirts, extra back seat, a spare instrument cluster and some other misc parts. I can email more pics upon request. shipping: Reliable Carriers inc is located in Canton MI. which is near my place of employment. I am willing to drive the car there. reliablecarriers.com 734-453-6677

Up for sale is a rare 1970 Plymouth Fury III with convertible top. This was the last year that Chrysler offered a full size convertible car until the early 80s. The car was specially ordered with a 383 2 bbl and torquflite automatic transmission. I purchased this Fury from the original owner this past summer after it had been sitting in his garage since 1990 following a complete paint job. He had the entire car painted, purchased a new top and carpets, but never got around to installing them. The new top and carpets come with the car. The convertible top pump and hardware is all intact. I had a lot of fun buying the car and kind of fell in love with the story behind it. It only has 84k miles. After I got it home, I put a battery in the car and verified the engine indeed turns over. The electrical system is in good working order as well. I did not want to suck old gas into the system, so that is as far as I went. I wanted to restore this car myself, but I lack time, space and the fabrication skills needed to rebuild it. The floor, which is the structure of the car, is in pretty nice shape as the pictures show. The main areas of concern are the front and rear unibody rails. The trunk floor is also in pretty good condition. The interior is pretty well preserved since nobody has sat in the car for a long time. I have the original build sheets with the car ( I found 3 of them in the car) and saw that it was a highly optioned car. There are a lot of factory remarks on the bottom of it. When I originally went to look at the car, it was interesting to hear the owner talk about every option the car had and why he chose to order it that way, especially the rare 383 engine. Most of all the Furys in 70 had smallblock 318 engines. Many of the externals on the 383 engine look to be original. I have the original hubcaps, grill, replacement top, replacement carpets, and full interior. All this car needs is a good craftsman to give it the life it deserves. The stainless steel trim and glass are in exceptional condition as well. The bumpers are not perfect but are not rusty at all. It really needs a good metal man. You wont need to track down hard to find parts, because this car is complete. Since the car was last registered in 1990, so it is no longer in the DMV records database. Cars made prior to 1973 did not receive titles, and simply had a sticker on the license plate as well as the paper copy. I have the most current sticker and the license plate, but the paper copy has long been lost. I will provide a bill of sale with the car and the bill of sale I received from the original owner. The new owner should contact their local DMV and obtain the proper forms to register the vehicle in their state. A fellow Mopar nut told me that the front turn signals on this car are the same as the ones used on the superbird making them worth a few bucks. After hearing this, I thought about parting the car out, but I really want to see it go to a good home. These cars are getting rare and I do not want to contribute to their extinction. Please let me know if you have any questions, and I will be happy to answer them.

Thank you for viewing my 67 Fury 2 I purchased this vehicle from the son of the original owner in Oregon last year, where we removed it from inside his airplane hanger for the first time in many, many years. After making the Fury road worthy I drove it 6 hrs home to California. I made a few upgrades to suit my preference including adding new Edelbrock performer intake and 14063 carburetor. I paid a bit more for the powder coated black versions of both. Added a nice dual exhaust from manifolds back with an H pipe and flowmaster 40 series mufflers. Almost silent at idle, a nice low deep rumble during normal acceleration, and if you want to get noticed just lay your foot into it, not obnoxious just a great sound. The Fury has new tires, 4 new shocks, replaced front wheel bearings, new master cylinder, turned brake drums, and new rear springs. Fuel tank gone through and new fuel pump added. Replaced heater hoses along with upper/lower radiator hoses. I noticed oil leaking from timing cover and decided to use this time to replace timing chain with a double roller, replaced cover and painted, removed oil pan cleaned to like new then painted pan, replaced water pump and painted. Note - original intake, air cleaner and carburetor will be included. All features and functions are in working condition including original am radio, interior and exterior lights, as well as the horn. An extra pair of hub caps will come with the Fury, the originals and the ones shown on vehicle now. Interior is serious time capsule condition with zero flaws. Please zoom on pictures for overall condition of exterior, very few signs of use and very straight. Vehicle needs a new power steering pump and an alignment. I can and will assist after the sale with transport and the Fury can stay in my garage for up to one month after sale date. Any time longer there wont be storage fees but the vehicle will be moved outside. PAYMENT - $500 deposit at auctions end Please contact me at auction end, with 24 hrs, I will send my contact info to new owner Full Payment/balance will be due within 7 business days via priority mail money order/cashiers check or bank wire transfer

This 1968 Plymouth Fury III needs an engine swap completed. A previous owner has set a mid 70s 400 cubic inch engine and torque flite transmission in place, but didn't complete the installation. All of the parts and accessories are included with the car. This car needs some rust repair, but overall is very solid. The rust damage is from dirt getting trapped and wet over the years, not from road salt or humidity. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. PLEASE ask any and all questions before the end of the auction.
