1981 Datsun by Nissan. 97xxx odd original miles. was in a barn for a few years from previous owner. Front axel re-built at 93000 miles. extra parts and Chilton-Haynes service and Nissan Shop service manuals included. Z22 4 cyl engine with 8 sparks, 5 speed manual tranny, 2 spare tires on aux light rack. Maintained best with a 1981 truck. Multy-switch on steering colum was not repairable or replacable. Low and High beams, parking-tail lights, turn signals, horn and windshield washer, with extra lights all on toggles switches ( Nascar-Style) Serious replies only. preffer talk but can text. I do not text fast. Preffer 8AM to 8 PM west coast. Will consider legal trades for automatic tranny car, 4-wheeler, camping trailer, guns, but will not trade for something I will have to re-sell right-away. Only clean Nevada title on trade ( FIRM on trade ) Only legal gun trade. I have a jeep in the garage with auto and power steering. VERY low VIN on this nice little Nissan 720 short box pickup (VIN ends in 000008), and I'm guessing it's possibly the earliest surviving 1985 Nissan 4x4? Runs great, even with 202k on the odometer. Just put a rebuilt head on it. Interior is in excellent condition, with only change from original being new seat cover on bottom of seat (the original nylon was impossible to find, but my interior guy was able to match it quite well). The "Nissan" logo is missing from the center console...it was punched out for a cassette radio many years ago. (Gauges were an option for that area, and if a nice console can't be found to replace it, I'd probably put an ammeter and an oil pressure gauge there) Vinyl floor covering has no rips or tears...in fact, doesn't seem worn at all, and door panels are nearly as new. It does have some rust....weep holes at the bottom of the doors have rusted out to a bit larger hole, and there are rust holes in the interior of the bed next to each of the wheel wells. Other than that, rust on the frame (but not heavy, and no rust outs). All glass is good, 4x4 works fine, and it runs nicely, with 5 speed transmission shifting fine. Does need paint, at least the hood and right front fender. Was in a minor fender bender years ago and the hood and fender were replaced but not painted. I put a new hood on it just recently, as the replacement hood had developed surface rust and it was just easier to replace it than to sand and paint. It does have the normal age wear for a truck this age, but has been adult owned all its life. Father left it to son, and I bought it from the son. Canopy was purchased the same time as the truck and still locks! I've just gotten to the point where a manual transmission is not in my best physical interests, and should be gravitating to an automatic, so it's time to let it go. Thanks for looking! Very nice little pickup. Certainly not perfect, but clean and dependable. Just put a new head (remanufactured) on her and had the bottom of the seat (a bench, with cutout in the center for the 4x4 lever) repaired. Couldn't find the original seat material (nylon weave), so went with the closest we could find, and it looks great. Rest of interior is all original. All glass good. the wheels are original Nissan, but may not be the correct year. Were replaced by original owner. (I'm not happy with my wheel paint job!) Tires are near new Wildcat steel belted radials. Was involved in a very minor scrape several years ago, and the right front fender and hood were replaced (unfortunately not painted at the time). No other damage to the vehicle. Does have small rust out spots on the joints next to the bottom of the wheel wells inside the bed and small rust spots on the inside bottom corners of the doors (more photos available). Rust on the frame, but no serious rust evident. If the VIN # wasn't so low, I would consider offers, but with this being the 8th 1985 Nissan built in 1984, it's a bit more special, and I think there is someone out there who will agree with me. The only thing that doesn't work at the moment is the dome light (it does, but won't shut off...probably door switch), and the radio antenna isn't installed because the replacement fender didn't have a hole in it...the radio isn't original as well. Canopy was purchased new with the vehicle, and does lock. (Wasn't used for many years as vehicle was a practical wood carrier) Wouldn't be afraid to drive it across country! No trades....sorry!
