It is time for me to move on from this car. I purchased this car two years ago, and it was in rough shape to say the least. Everything works as it should besides the AC. I have replaced the compressor, evap core, expansion valve, drier, and it will cool very well for about 3 weeks. After that, the Freon has all leaked back out. I was told that a shop could put in a dye that would help locate the small leak, but I have not gotten around to it. The previous owner wrecked the car a few years back in California, and I have the paperwork for it. The right fender, and the bumper was replaced. But it was considered a total loss So the title is a salvage title. The body of this crx has 269,000 on it. Back in 2010 a shop in California installed a sohc zc with 45k on it, along with a new flywheel and clutch. I believe that I still have that paperwork as well. In the two years that I have had it, I have replaced a good bit of stuff. I will try and list them all. We’ve put over 500 trouble free miles on the car since we’ve had it. The only issues we found were a worn motor mount, and worn bushings, so we replaced those. The bushing service included rear trailing arms, control arms, and radius arms. Front sway bar link bushings were replaced as well. The handling is now very crisp and precise, just how a CRX should be. I have owned this vehicle since 1995 and it’s in excellent condition for a 30 year old vehicle. I drove this car from 1995 to 1996 and then from 1998 to 2002. It was stored indoors the other years in a storage environment. It has been in storage since 2002. As such there are some areas that will need to be addressed. It has 146,000 original miles and would be a great restoration project. In an effort to provide full disclosure, I want to convey all the good and bad details I can think of when listing this car. If there are other areas of concern, please message me before purchase. This car needs to be paid for in full before pickup. It will likely need to be transported unless you are buying locally in Utah. $500 deposit via Paypal due within 48 hours of purchase. Remainder due within 7 days of purchase. We accept a cashier’s check, wire transfer, or bank deposit in our account. I have the clean title in hand, ready for transfer. The Good: Car has never been wrecked. I am a mechanic and took very good care of it when in use. The drive train is perfect on this car. Engine and transmission are in superb condition. Shifts smoothly, I changed the clutch out personally on this vehicle at one point. I also changed the timing belt, brakes as needed, tires, filters, tune-ups, Bosch Platinum spark plugs, oil, etc. A/C Compressor was changed at one point, although it does not appear to be blowing cold air currently after being in storage, may need a recharge or additional support. Fuel Pump just changed. Oil and filter just changed with synthetic oil. Alloy American Racing Rims that are good condition. Tires are in good shape and appear to have 30,000 miles or so of life left on them. No major body issues or dents. Sound system was updated at one point with a CD player and upgraded speakers in doors and rear. High amperage cabling was installed under carpet and paneling for subwoofer in the rear. Amp and subwoofer are not currently present but wiring is intact if this is desired. Tweeters are installed on the side panels. Glass in the car is perfect as far as I know, I don’t see any cracks or even rock chips when examining the glass. If there are small imperfections they are likely very minor. Windows are tinted and appear to be in decent condition on the side windows, the back glass needs the window tint replaced. Car has a sunroof and was used frequently when I drove it. It currently pops up but will need to be opened and cleaned/lubricated for proper function. I installed a Car alarm and an auxiliary air horn, not currently connected to the battery but should be functional if re-connected. Interior is in fantastic shape. Seats are in amazing condition for their age. No major tears or stains with the exception of a tear along the side of the drivers side seat near should height which was repaired with silicone. It has been a functional repair that has not spread for the last 20 years. Dash and panels are in AMAZING condition, not cracked out or broken. I have had cars that were 5 years old that have cracked out and break. The interior of this car is in fantastic shape!!! Engine block heater installed that can be plugged in during winter months. Headlights upgraded to brighter Halogen lighting. Battery appears to be in good condition and starts the car right up. As far as I know, all instruments and components are in working condition without problem unless otherwise mentioned here. That being said, realize this is a 30 year old car and there are going to be some minor things that may need adjusted and repaired. SMOKE FREE, never been smoked in. The Bad: The fuel pump has just been changed. After changing the fuel pump, it is obvious that there is rust in the fuel tank. The tank was rinsed and etched with vinegar when the pump was replaced but the remaining debris in the tank is inhibiting the car from running well. The pollutants appear to be clogging the in-tank strainer/filter and preventing adequate fuel from reaching the injection system. It will idle and run at lower speeds but acceleration is problematic and would not recommend running it in this condition until the fuel situation is remedied. New replacement gas tanks can be purchased for under $100 including on Ebay. The paint on this car has seen better days. It is no longer the original glossy black as the sun has caused the clear coat to peel on the roof and hood. In addition there are paint chips in a variety of locations, especially on the hood. The exterior moldings along the windows are cracking and will need repainted for the painted one and replaced for the rubber ones. The exterior of the car will need repainted. There is some corrosion under the car including under the rear wheel wells. Some Bondo work will be required although it doesn’t appear to be extensive. The exhaust needs replaced. The car is quite loud currently as the muffler is rusted out. Muffler and exhaust pipe under the car will need replaced. Again, these parts should be available quite economically. Full widebody kit shell is in excellent condition no rust at all, clean dash, runs and drives good 'could be driven as a daily driver as it sits, every single light works and is in good shape, spoon seats, aftermarket steering wheel, full exhaust system, ROTA wheels, Brand new radiator, TONS of extra pars: doors bumpers hood full sets of interior lights fenders etc. the engine bay is completely unmolested it hasn't even been hosed off with degreaser! body kit is installed pretty subpar in most areas, will need lots more work to get smooth or you could just tear it off and have a normal crx body although i can not attest if the panels are any good underneath as i bought it with the bodykit installed, needs to be painted or rattlecanned "in dark gray primer atm", passenger door needs the handle and lock switched out "parts included" needs wheel spacers to fill out the fenders. First of all I'd like to clarify this Crx is not a toy and is far from its original stock form. It's highly modified and lightning fast and built for an experienced enthusiast and driver. It was put together at ILL Garage in Villa Park, IL where the parts were purchased new and the labor/tuning was completed. My friend and I oversaw and made decisions on the direction of this build and we have over 45 years experience between us. We aren't teenagers. About five years ago the Crx was located in a state or disrepair and was rescued, stripped, and the build began. I believe it was originally black but was also gray metallic at one point and now gray. New quarters and rocker panels were welded on. It's a solid body with some rust still non structural on one floor pan. The interior was upgraded to some 90-91 parts. And of course the original drivetrain was removed and swapped out. After all the work was completed the car has only been driven 1300 miles or less, the parts are all in very good condition. It was never taken to the track or beat on. It was driven fast on occasion but mostly driven on cruise nights. I will attempt to list the parts and highlights of the car but I will probably miss some things since the list is long. The motor and transmission were purchased at Hmotors through ILL Garage, which I have a receipt for, but not the actual paperwork from Hmotors. When it was tuned it put down between 400-450 whp on around 12-16 psi. Personally the car has so much power I would recommend retuning it at closer to 300 whp for more drivability which would still be insanely quick. Within the past few months the prop valve has developed a leak which is an inexpensive part to replace, $30-$40. Unfortunately with a busy work schedule and upcoming move the Crx sits and this is the reason it is for sale. All told there are thousands invested and a reserve set at about half of that. I bought this car this car in 2007 to use as my commuter car. This car has been a solid car the entire time I have owned it, save the time it has sat due to neglect and lack of finances. I have no time to investigate repairs and registration; I am not a mechanic, but have tried to keep track of this car, so I will do my best to list the problems that I am aware of. Currently this car is a non op the moment, but with a new battery to test it, it seemed to want to fire up. I didn't press it as I didn't want to blow the seals on the engine. With that said, "Local Pick-Up" will require a tow to the nearest auto shop at buyer's discretion, unless the buyer prefers that it be delivered at their expense. When the car was last operated, the clutch and transmission were amazing. NEVER RACED. One small accident due to slippery road surface that damaged rear passenger side. No damage to frame or quarter panel, mostly just a blowout and torn cv boot. Repaired area only to have an SUV back into me in a parking lot as they exited a parking space and damage taillight area slightly. Maintained oil and engine up to the point of non-op. Left non-op for up to a year. Registration is behind, but I kept the car running and mobile until about a year ago when funds forced me to chose housing or a vehicle. Car HAS: CLEAN TITLE: NO LIEN OR SALVAGE Aftermarket Upper/lower front/rear sway/tie bars: Makes for a nice stable ride that will turn on a dime. Original interior: with no door tears, has a tear on the driver seatback in typical place where normal wear and tear occur (currently covered with seat cover). The rest of the cabin interior is clean and tidy. Interior carpet is decent and needs cleaning, however, other than typical wear and tear, there are no major stains. Just needs some floormats of your choice and she is good to go, unless you are a stickler for stock and want to track down some seats with no tears in them. Original tools and spare tire Rear compartment cover is actually still attached and in working order. Aftermarket Tail lights. Original OEM taillights also included in sale. Aftermarket pedals installed. AC works I have the oem handbrake and shift knob and will reinstall prior to sale. Car NEEDS: Driver Side Door Seals: Door seals redone on driver side as water leaks in a bit when weather is damp (no water damage, taped it up and drove with it covered in rain at the first sight of this problem. Also covered that section with durable weatherproof tarp during stormy weather during non-op). Paint Job: The body has little to no rust but, lots of paint oxidation due to sitting out in the sun when parked, as opposed to parked in garage. Seals and Lines Checked: Due to sitting for a long period, this vehicle should have the fluid lines and engine seals looked at and changed if necessary before it becomes roadworthy again. Rear Passenger TailLight/QuarterPanel Repair: The tail light requires a simple pull and hammer to repair slight dent (push in). Car was tagged in a parking lot by an SUV as it backed up into my car. It was a rolling slow collision, thus the tail light survived and it just needs some love to get it undented. Rear Hatch needs new gas spring/lift supports to keep it open. Brake light won't disengage on cluster when emergency brake is not engaged. Car runs fine and e-brake is functional and not impeding mobility. I have heard this is a simple fix. Needs new tires and alignment. Needs new windshield: Took a rock on the freeway and it spread before I could Safelight it and get it repaired. Front Driverside Fender needs trim replaced/repaired.

This is a 1991 Honda CRX Si with 215873 miles. I bought this car from the original owner after it had been sitting 11 years and I have not put very many miles on it since. The motor has been professionally rebuilt with new piston rings, bearings, and seals from top to bottom. It also has a brand new timing belt and water pump and a new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing. The engine and transmission are the original to the car. The interior is in very good condition, there are no rips or tears in the seats, dash, or door panels. There is some wear on the rear storage bin area but the cargo cover is intact. The exterior does have some dents and dings and the red paint has seen better days. The front bumper is original but has been repainted recently and the rear bumper has some scratches. There is a larger dent on the driver side door, a smaller one on the passenger door, and some decent scratches on the hood and passenger fender. You can also see a small amount of surface rust around the gas door and the driver side rear fender. I have done my best to show all the damage in the pictures. There is no stereo in the car and it was never equipped with A/C but the heat does work. PLEASE LOOK OVER THE PICTURES CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING! I HAVE DONE MY BEST TO DESCRIBE DAMAGE! This car is not perfect but it is 99.9% complete and mechanically sound. This would be a great daily driver or restoration project since there wouldn't be much to do other than paint.
