Bessy is a restored survivor, 1965 Dodge Dart 4 door 270 powered by a rare original 273 V8 powerplant with less than 70K original miles on her. Painstakingly brought back to showroom condition over the course of the past year, there have been so many parts replaced or restored it’s hard to list them all, but see details below. Most restored Darts from this era are the 2-door muscle car version, and those are easy to find. This car is one of a kind find, turns heads everywhere it goes, and gets multiple offers driving around town. This car is not for those who are shy or dislike attention. A true enthusiast's machine, Bessy will provide it’s owner with many more years of faithful service, in true class and with sleeper car power. I’m the second owner of this classic head turner. I bought from my colleague after he decided to clear out his garage to make room for new toys. She had sat in the garage since the late 80s, when she was taken out of service where she waited for a little over 30 years under a car cover and stacks of magazines. I partnered with Precision Auto Center in Bay Ridge, New York to bring this classic barn find back from obscurity. With over $20k dollars is labor, OEM parts and a few safety and performance upgrades, this vehicle drives and handles even better than when it rolled off the showroom floor back in 1966 as a dealer car. All the chrome was in decent condition, so while there are many many upgrades, we kept the restoration to a slight wabi-sabi or survivor condition. Some wear shows on the dashboard, chrome, etc. But as of just this year, she is finished and ready for her new home. I want to stress that this is a drive ready, turn key car. Nothing drips, leaks or god forbid smokes. She runs off of regular unleaded fuel, handles like a dream on the highway or in the city. Can easily handle anything you throw at her and take it with grace and a yawn. Perfect as a daily driver, show car or weekend getaway toy. This is a completely restored 1965 Dodge Dart Charger with only 480 being badged as Dart Chargers it is extremely rare. There is only a hand full known to still exist. It has just been completed and has less than 400 mile on the engine. I have tried to return this car back to its original condition as much as I could. Drivetrain: Engine and transmission are the original ones. Rear end is not. I think it is from a late 60's Dart or Plymouth A body but not sure. It has a 355 gear with Positive traction. It has all new bearings and brakes. The engine has been totally rebuilt with .030 oversize pistons 9.8 compression ratio. ( original ones were 10.5 to 1) Cylinder heads have hardened valve seats for use with unleaded gas and have been completely rebuilt. Transmission has new synchronizers and bearings. It has a new clutch and pressure plate. It had been converted to duel exhaust when I bought it and I returned it back to the original single exhaust from Accurate Exhaust at a cost of $800. I repaired the original resonator which was supplied with the car when I purchased it. Suspension: All new shocks. Complete frond end rebuild. All suspension parts bead blasted and painted. The underside of the car looks as good as the top. Body: Sheet metal was in very good condition except around the windshield. The rusted parts were cut out and new metal welded in to make the repair. New windshield and rubber were installed. Driver and passenger floor pans were replaced. 1 small patch behind the rear wheel opening was repaired. All other sheet metal is original. Vinyl top was replaced by the previous owner before I purchased it. Not sure how old it is but looks new. The body had a few small dents but no other rust. I have additional pictures of the car when I purchased it if you would like to see them. Front and rear bumpers have been rechromed. Taillight bezels rechromed. Interior: The dash pad has been recovered. It had a small crack near the middle. The instrument cluster and all 4 trim pieces have been rechromed and detailed and looks awesome. Door panels, Front seats and carpet are all new. The headliner, back seat and package tray are original. Arm rest bases have been rechromed. Side and rear glass is original and in great shape. 4 speed shifter plate has been rechromed and detailed. Shifter is original. Wheels: 14" X 6" Cragar SS. This car came from the factory with 13" Cragar SS wheels which are unattainable at this point. Tires are like new. All weather stripping has been replaced. It took me about 16 months to do the restoration. If you have any other questions pleas don't hesitate to call me @ 804-314-7599 Jerry The Dart Charger StoryIn 1964 Dodge launched the "DartCharger" to promote the Charger name for 1966 production as well as get closer to the accelerating sales of the Ford Mustang. The earliest cars that have been found were produced in beginning of September 1964. All factory DartChargers were produced at the Los Angeles plant. Some of the “dealer cars” were produced at the Los Angeles and Detroit plants. No dealer kit cars have been found from the St Louis plant. The DartCharger came in two body styles; 2 dr hardtop or convertible. All factory cars were light yellow with two options for the interior; black interior or white/gold interior. The convertible top was always black. Hardtop cars came with standard painted roof in light yellow. Optional were black or white vinyl roof. The interior was usually black but in late December 1964 they offered for hardtops only, white and gold interior which was availible until late March 1965. The LA plant produced some 180 DartChargers. They all have paint code 991 or 999 on the fendertag. All cars had DartCharger badges on each fender as well as on the dash. The center dome on the Cragar wheels was cut out and a DartCharger emblem put on. Two DartChargers are known to have been sold without the emblems. According to the dealers, about 30% of the DartChargers were convertibles and the rest hardtops. All the factory cars had following equipment; 273 4bbl Charger engine 904 HD transmission or 4 speed Hurst shifted manual transmission Suregrip - (optional) HD suspension (optional) Cragar S/S 13x6 wheels front & rear bumperguards Radio w/antenna Woodgrained steering wheel Standard mirror (after Nov 20,-64 all cars had outside adjustable mirror) Night/Day mirror Spare tire on standard rim 13x4.5 Power steering Power brakes Power top (convertible) Interior light kit Air condition - (optional) The DartChargers were produced until March 1965 when Dodge launched the Dart Go/go package for sale. This time the yellow paint was introduced as "spring color". The deal Dodge offered the dealers about the DartChargers was to buy at least 5 cars. They always arrived on Friday and the sale was the same weekend with good result according to the dealers. Dodge launched the DartCharger “Dealer Kit” in November 1964, 300 dealer kits were produced. Dealers could put these Kits on any 273 HP cars they had in stock. That's how Red, Ivory and Blue DartChargers exist. The most odd dealercars are two Dart 270 2 dr hardtop DartChargers in California!!

I have for sale this nice 1960 Dodge Dart Seneca , Station wagon and everything works...It has a 318 Cubic inch wide block.with Polyspherical heads, also known as the semi-hemi.....runs and drives and stops....has a push button trans on the dash......its been my daily driver ......it still needs some work to be perfect....It does NOT smoke or leak.....it is almost all original except for having the front seat reupholstered and new carpet.....and it has a new HEI and 9.5 mm spark plug wires it comes with the original dual point distributor and original hubcaps and has the original 14 inch rims on it.....it has been running hot because the timing is a bit advanced...the chrome on the bumpers and tail lights have some light pitting...the Dodge emblem on the rear tailgate is broken but still in its place....all the glass is in great shape......has new tires on the front and slightly used tires on the back....80% tread.....I am the 3rd owner of this car..The car has all of the trim ....the only rust is on the tailgate and a couple very small spots here and there.....if you want to come test drive it , just send me a message the wagon is located in Hemet,CA.....please ask questions..It is Registered here in California until April , 2016 and still has the Black and Yellow plates...This is a very Rare and hard to find wagon in great original condition............Check out the Pictures..........Feel free to make an offer.........Rare Barn Find........Thank you for taking the time to read my description... ..Long roof....Surf ....Mopar....show car...Ratrod wagon.. 1965 Dodge Dart

This is a completely restored 1965 Dodge Dart Charger with only 480 being badged as Dart Chargers it is extremely rare. There is only a hand full known to still exist. It has just this week been completed and has less than 200 mile on the engine. I have tried to return this car back to its original condition as much as I could. Drivetrain: Engine and transmission are the original ones. Rear end is not. I think it is from a late 60's Dart or Plymouth A body but not sure. It has a 355 gear with Positive traction. It has all new bearings and brakes. The engine has been totally rebuilt with .030 oversize pistons 9.8 compression ratio. ( original ones were 10.5 to 1) The engine still has the break-in oil in it. Cylinder heads have hardened valve seats for use with unleaded gas and have been completely rebuilt. Transmission has new synchronizers and bearings. It has a new clutch and pressure plate. It had been converted to duel exhaust when I bought it and I returned it back to the original single exhaust from Accurate Exhaust at a cost of $800. I repaired the original resonator which was supplied with the car when I purchased it. Suspension: All new shocks. Complete frond end rebuild. All suspension parts bead blasted and painted. The underside of the car looks as good as the top. Body: Sheet metal was in very good condition except around the windshield. The rusted parts were cut out and new metal welded in to make the repair. New windshield and rubber were installed. Driver and passenger floor pans were replaced. 1 small patch behind the rear wheel opening was repaired. All other sheet metal is original. Vinyl top was replaced by the previous owner before I purchased it. Not sure how old it is but looks new. The body had a few small dents but no other rust. I have additional pictures of the car when I purchased it if you would like to see them. Front and rear bumpers have been rechromed. Taillight bezels rechromed. Interior: The dash pad has been recovered. It had a small crack near the middle. The instrument cluster and all 4 trim pieces have been rechromed and detailed and looks awesome. Door panels, Front seats and carpet are all new. The headliner, back seat and package tray are original. Arm rest bases have been rechromed. Side and rear glass is original and in great shape. 4 speed shifter plate has been rechromed and detailed. Shifter is original. Wheels: 14" X 6" Cragar SS. This car came from the factory with 13" Cragar SS wheels which are unattainable at this point. Tires are like new. All weather stripping has been replaced. It took me about 16 months to do the restoration.
