A 1958 Dodge M37 retired military truck in running and driving condition. Converted to 12 volts and starts easily. It has a newer stainless steel fuel tank with an electric fuel pump. Four speed manual transmission with four wheel drive. There is a heavy duty PTO driven front mount winch with about 200 feet of cable. It was once owned by the Spotswood fire department and was converted to a brush truck with heavy front bumper, grill guard with reinforced fenders and running boards. The body is a very solid as most fire trucks receive inside storage. The truck has working Headlights, Tail lights, Brake lights, Turn signals, Horn, Wipers and Back up lights. The removable metal hard top roof has some rust as seen in the pictures. It will need a new muffler, Valves should be adjusted, and a general going over. It will make an awesome off road beast as the M37 are proven to be tough as nails. There are many parts suppliers for these trucks. The odometer reads 3362 miles but I am sure that it is not correct. There is a working oil pressure gauge as well as an amp. and temperature gauges. I have a clear NJ. title in my name. I urge buyers to come to Ringoes N.J. to inspect it as everybody's idea of condition varies. It is 318 2bbl Automatic and is a 3/4 ton truck. Please read all of the description and see the included video as well and check out all the pictures. This truck is not perfect and is need of a good restoration but is a very good start and these trucks are getting harder to find in decent condition. The truck was recently sold by our local Sheriffs Dept. It had been their winter time transportation since about 1997. They only put about 7,000 miles on it in 20 years. I was told the 38000 miles are original but I CANNOT confirm that just what I was told. The truck starts, drives and stops but the brakes all need gone though. Most of the break lines have just been replaced but 2 of the bleeders I could not get free to bleed them without pulling off the calipers and putting some more effort into it. SO 2 corners have been bled and 2 have not. The truck is very scaly underneath but I not see any rot through on the frame or anything concerning. It will need the brakes gone through all around, shocks are rusty and the exhaust is gone from muffler back. The floor boards need patch, there is a large hole on drivers side cover with sheet metal. The 4x4 works as does the heater, and wipers. Not sure about the gas gauge I only put in a cpl gallons of gas to do some driving around. The truck has a plastic gas tank so it should be in good shape. I'm not positive but I think it has a later model bed on it. Engine fires right up but could use some valve cover gaskets. Again please see the video of me doing a walk around for a better description. It sounds bad in the video I had a chance to check it out and the water pump has some play in it and will need to be replaced. Also both of the chrome trim rings around the headlight have popped the rivets so they will need fixed to secure the headlights in place. The truck will need to be trailered. I will require a 200 NON REFUNDABLE deposit within 48 hours of auction close and the remainder due in cash when picked up. Other arrangements can be made if your having a shipper pick it up funds will have to be cleared in advance of the truck leaving here.

1952 Dodge M37 Power Wagon, ex US Army. It runs fine.....no smoke, and no leaks. I just put on a new water pump & fan belt. And a new NOS exhaust and intake manifold this week. It has the orig. 24 volt system...and it charges the batteries just fine (amp gauge works). I put 2 new 12 volt batteries in it last week as well. A year ago, it got a new brake master cylinder....and the brakes work ok. The clutch and transmission work fine. It was used for many years at a duck hunting club in the Sacramento Delta area. It has a Calif. title with Historic Vehicle plates (expired...no penalties to re-register in Calif.). It has all the military lights....but they need attending to. The front tires have 95% of their tread (like new), and the backs have 20%. The only body rust is the lower-right-rear part of the cowling. Otherwise the sheet metal is in great shape (obviously its never been in the snow). AND!!! it has the "optional" and original metal cab w/sliding back window. I put in new front windshield glass. The doors work fine...are complete w/winders & handles (side windows have some cracks). The driver & passenger seats are in great condition. The pickup bed is solid....tailgate has some dents. THE TRUCK HAS A CUSTOM 2 INCH REAR TOW HITCH RECEIVER INTEGRATED AND FULLY WELDED TO THE CUSTOM STEEEL REAR BUMPER WICH ARE BOTH VERY HEAVY AND STRONG. THE TRUCK WEARS ITS ORIGINAL FRONT WINDSHIELD WHICH DOES CRANK OUT AND WORKS GREAT! THE TANK DOES NOT LEAK AT ALL EITHER. ENIGNE: THE ENGINE IS A GREAT RUNNING STRAIGHT 6 CYLINDER 230 C.I. THAT WAS ORIGINALLY INSPECTED BY STEVE FOWLER OF POWER WAGONS WEST BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER AND HAS GREAT COMPRESSION. THE ENGINE AND TRUCK STILL MAINTAIN ITS ORIGINAL 6 VOLT ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WITH NO KNOWN ISSUES. THE ENGINE IS TURN KEY / STARTS EASY AND RUNS GREAT.
