All Original 1951 Chevy 3600 (3/4 Ton) P.U without Box! Truck runs and drives! It is currently Titled & Registered. Has a new fuel tank, sending unit, fuel pump, plugs, rotor, Cap and rebuild Carb. Great Cab condition and has never had any bodywork done! None! Gray areas are primed to keep metal covered only. Right running board was cut short for auxiliary gas tank which was removed. There are no keys or an ignition lock and other parts may be in need of repair or replacement. This truck was a heater delete. It would be wise to trailer it if out of the area. I have all five original wheels also! I am the third owner. This truck has lived its whole life in Marietta, MN. This truck is truly an amazing barn find. It is completely original and no-one has messed with or changed anything. It is about as complete as you could possibly ever hope for. Please look at every one of the pictures The body is totally original, virtually rust free and the greatest patina of the original factory paint I have ever seen. The cab corners, doorsills and running boards are near perfect with only patina and no rust. The rare long pickup box is near perfect. The tailgate was missing so I found another one that came off a truck a long time ago and stored in a shed. The wood floor has obviously rotted with age but all the metal is intact. The only flaw in the body is a small 1" hole in the floor to the left of the clutch pedal as you can see in the pictures. This truck still has the original 4 hub caps on the original wheels. The interior is as you see it in the pictures. Still all there but definitely showing its age. The windshield and back window are good but both rollup windows are cracked. I found an original GMC radio that would fit this truck. Needs total restoration but its a start. The engine is the original and I was told that it started to lose power and that's why the truck was parked over 30 years ago. I was lucky and found another engine out of a 51 Chev grain truck that only had 25,000 original miles on it. I am including that engine with the truck. No-one has touched or moved this truck in over 30 years. Everything needs to be gone over and I'm sure it will need grease and oil in a lot of spots. Transmission moves through all the gears. I have done nothing to it except move it so that there will be no surprises for the new owner other than those to be expected. There are a lot of junk trucks for sale out there, this is not one of them. With very little effort this truck can be restored to show condition or brought back to life with a magnificent original patina. I have a clear Minnesota title in my name including current license plates till September, 2016. I would be willing to deliver this truck anywhere in the lower 48 for $1 per loaded mile. 1951 Chevy 3100 restored 5 window black plates This truck was restored 8 years ago and then sat in the garage for the last 5 years hardly used at all, it has always been in central CA out of the Modesto area. The truck has a 230 inline 6 paired with an automatic powerglide from a 60's Nova installed, it runs great and starts right up. We went through and drained the gas and flushed the tank and the lines, gave the truck a complete tuneup and reset the timing. The truck was painted during the restoration and as you can see it was a pretty decent job, we went through and color sanded and polished the paint to a super high luster, very nice looking truck now. All the chrome was replaced during the restoration and still looks great, only the rear bumper has some slight pealing. All the glass was replaced and still looks brand new, all the rubber and window felt has also been replaced. The interior looks new with a perfect bench seat, everything works as it should including all the windows, lights, new gauges, new speedometer, turn signals, high beam, and even the horn. The truck runs very well, it starts right up and runs smooth. The brakes were all redone and still feel like new, its stops as well if not better than when new. Pretty much everything on this truck has been replaced.Only issues are the floor could be replaced and one cab corner could eventually be replaced due to old rust that was treated and stopped during the restoration but for some reason they did not replace those panels.Please see the pics and call or email with any questions. For sale is a very nice Garage find 1951 Chevy Truck. This truck was part of the Alexander Drapanas Estate collection. Dr Drapanas was a collector and racer his whole life, this truck was one of his favorite drivers. In 1980 the clutch let go and the car was parked in his climate controlled building. Well as life would have it he started the repairs and never finished due to health issues that plagued him for the last few years of his life. The family held onto most of his cars including this one until a few months ago. When we purchased the truck we replaced the clutch assembly and throw out bearing, and resurfaced the flywheel. New gas and this beauty started right up, we then replaced the rear brakes which had become locked. The truck now is a running and driving but will need tires and some new hoses before being placed back into daily service. The body is in great shape not a bondo bucket like most trucks of this age. The floors are rock solid and perfect as are the doors and bed. The fenders are all steel and in great shape except for two small spots on the top of the front fenders where lights were once mounted. All the glass is very nice and wood bed is very presentable. The drive train is all form a 1967 Barracuda with 273 commando V8, 4 speed trans with pistol grip shifter, and posi rear. The truck has all drum brakes with cool vintage Kelsey hays kidney bean wheels. The interior is in great shape with very nice buckets and perfect headliner and the dash has never been cut up. The paint is a 10ft being around 40 years old it could use a repaint for perfection or just drive it the way it is.From talking with the family the truck was built in the early 70's and was built with no expensive spared at the time.
