Selling my 1988 635csi. The car is in very good condition but has been off the road and in my garage for a few years. I had a tune-up done this past week, changed the plugs and wires, cap and rotors, oil change, air filter, checked and lubricated throttle cable, etc.,. I kept up with maintenance and repairs as much as i could and have all receipts of work that has been done. Too much to list. Exterior is in relatively good shape considering it's age. Interior is in good condition, front leather seats fully refurbished. I love this car but no longer have the room or time to enjoy it. Engine runs strong and is begging to be driven.

THIS 1979 BMW 635CSi was purchased as part of an estate last month. It is licensed for 2014 but I do not know how long it was parked or ran last. The car was owned long term and it was once the owner's "Baby". I was able to get it to start right up, but couldn't get it to run longer than a few seconds, so assume the fuel filters should be changed, or possibly there is an issue with the fuel pump. There wasn't a lot of smoke on startup. I have had a few queries on the transmission type so assume it is important to know that it has the five speed with first to the left and down. There is obvious rust on the rear quarter panels and front fenders so assume there may be rust in other areas that would be typical of this make and model of car. The car is complete with areas of damage as shown in the images. I am selling this car as a parts car, with no warrantee. The seats, wipers, mirrors, On Board Computer, Signals, Lights etc. all work. The sunroof has been disconnected and does not work and has been left in the close position. The wheels came off a 5-Series same generation car and are in Great shape, there is an extra also for the spare tire. The ECU is from another 6 Series that has a performance chip in it, we believe it produces around 220hp. We also have the Original ECU, which has not been modified. This stunning 635csi has been maintained by Castro Motorsport within my four years of ownership. This is a clean title car, never been in an accident, no rust, a good California car and a clean car fax! Mechanical: I had the engine, transmission, and differential resealed and replaced all main hoses which were leaking. All suspension components have been replaced front & rear, thrust arms were inserted with the PowerFlex Polyurethane (street) bushings. The car has a set of four new Bilstein Touring shocks paired with a new set of H&R Sport Lowering Springs. We have also done a water pump and cooling service apart from resealing the motor. The flex disc (guibo) and center support bearing have been replaced with new parts including a driveshaft balancing. A new clutch disk & pressure plate have been installed with a remanufactured flywheel. New clutch master cylinder & clutch slave cylinder. All shifter components have been replaced including a Z3 OEM shifter lever for shorter throw. New Brembo rotors & pads on all four corners. Interior: The interior is absolutely spotless. Now on to the car: We have an extremely rare 1987 BMW 635CSi Coupe with the "M" designation. The "M" coupe is the factory modified version of the base 635. It has a redline a full 1000 RPMs above the base. This car is equipped with the 3.5 L 6 cylinder powerplant with automatic transmission with the adjustable driving mode settings. It has Economy, Sport and the 3-2-1 manual mode. This engine/trans combination is smooth as silk but powerful throughout its RPM range. Of course it's loaded up with power steering, brakes, windows, mirrors, locks, dual power seats and headrests, and a power moonroof. The entertainment system consists of a Pioneer AM/FM CD stereo. The freshly recovered black on red leather bucket seats envelope you in comfort and support. Also provided are factory embroidered BMW mats to protect the carpeting. The original tool kit and all books are also with the car, as well as extensive maintenance and performance upgrade receipts. Other nice touches include Niken racing pedals and 17" Carbon Fiber($5000 option) Rims with brand new BF Goodrich G-Force high performance radials. Now for the bad: As indicated above there is a minor paint blemish on the drivers side front quarter panel(see pics), some rust on drivers rear quarter panel(pics) and small bubbling on the moonroof(also see pics). Other than these minor flaws, this is an exceptional example of an ultra rare classic that is appreciating in value as this auction goes on!! Great Shape 635csi, run smooth likes to cruise at 80-90 with no issues, no heating, no shimming, no strange noises, clutch is in perfect shape. No accidents. Is really a weekend toy that I do not have the time to enjoy, or to work on it. The Good: New tires, new A/C system with compressor and evaporator upgraded to run R134, a/c is ice cold with no problems in Miami's summers. New suspension end links, battery, ignition coil, sparks, spark wires, fan clutch. Brakes have a new break bomb piece, abs works flawlessly, new exhaust. Mechanic says is one the smoothest running m30 engines he's driven. Clutch slave and master cylinders replaced a month ago. Paint is in good shape, the car has been resprayed with the previous owner. The Bad: Has minor rust signs popping around the front windshield and at the bottom of the license plate pocket. The window washer does not work, never got around to fix it. Dashboard as a 1.5" crack on the top. Paint has cracked on the front left spoiler, spoiler is not broken. BONUS: Car comes with and EXTRA 88-89 m30 engine with a 5-speed tranny. Engine was rebuilt with new gaskets, valve springs, valve guides and stored properly. Also extra a TON of miscellaneous parts: 2 complete doors with glass, mirrors, windshield, hood, trunk lid, side front panels, rear differential with discs and axles and supports, gas tank, extra block, miscellaneous trims, parts, lights, pumps, too many to list. Also unused 1" lowering springs never installed.
