I have a 1968 BMW 2002 that has a very straight body; it had the bottom rear window metal removed and a piece of front window metal; is minus the trunk lid and most of interior, bumpers and trim. The hood has some rust. The engine has been removed but it comes with a 2.0L long block with E12 head. 4-speed transmission and drive train along with exhaust is still on car. It has some E21 turbine wheels and is located in San Diego CA. I purchased it along with a 1971 2002 that I will be restoring and was thinking about using as a donor car but this is way too clean and was hoping someone would be interested in putting back on the road. Car has a clean title from New Mexico. Car is for sale locally so auction can end at any time.

This is a completely unrestored and unmolested example of a very popular and frequently used iconic BMW model. This 2002 has its original paint, interior, and engine. All is in the same condition as it was when it left the showroom 40 years ago. It is a highly desirable early example as it has chrome bumpers and round taillights. It is an incredible find as most were such reliable commuters that most surviving examples are often found to be run into the ground. To find one in this shape is an extraordinary occurrence and a great addition to the preservation class.

For sale is my 1972 BMW 2002 Tii project car, If you are looking at this ad then you probably know about these cars and that the Tii is the most sought after models..especially if it"s a "Roundie". which this is. I recently restored another Inka Orange 1972 2002 (non Tii) and it sold for $16,000 very quickly. (see the photo) this car should be around the $25-$30,000 when finished. it comes with most all of the original parts, bolts and interior. I know the rear bumper and radiator are not there. the car has a very nice paint job in its original Colorado Orange that cost almost $5k. I estimate it will take another $8k to do it right. I have 3 other vintage 911 projects right now, which is the only reason im letting her go. so if your looking for a great project that has profit potential, give me a call. *please note...there are many people who wish to restore a project...and very few who step up to the plate and do it. please make this decision before contacting me, as I dont waste others time and appreciate the same. thanks, Ian801 706-2918

- Completely restored in 1993 won several BMW awards in the 90s. - In 1998 It was converted to a race car was raced on and off in BMWCCA and CVAR. - In 2013 we bought it in great condition with the exception of a compression problem in the engine. - In 2014-2015 the car has not been raced as a completely new engine and many other components were installed (14K +). Today the car is in great shape ready to race. We are selling it because of other racing commitments. TRAILER INCLUDED ------------------------------------ Chassis The car is rust free and painted its original color, Tiaga. The roll cage was custom built by BMS Suspension Setting up a 2002 to handle is no secret. It has to be lowered, stiffened and have a lot of negative camber. • Front struts are from a 2002tii, which are beefier than regular 2002 struts due to larger spindles and a ½’’ wider track. They have been converted to adjustable coilovers with very stiff springs (I can’t remember whose). The front end has adjustable (both directions) camber plates. • The larger front and rear roll bars are by Suspension Techniques and are adjustable. • The rear subframe has been boxed to make it more rigid. Stiff spring on the rear also. The connection points for the subframe to the body have been beefed up also. • Front strut brace Brakes • Front discs are from an 83 320i. The calipers are from a 528i sedan. These are the biggest brakes you can put on the car and still run 13” wheels. • Rear brakes are drum from a 320i also. • Stainless steel brake lines • The master cylinder is a larger unit from another BMW (not sure which one) • There are various pad materials that can be used. The front pads will do at least 3 weekends. The rear drums, all season Driveline • The transmission is a 5 speed OD from an early 80’s 320i. It was rebuilt about 5 years ago. • The flywheel is aluminum NEW • The rear diff is a Quaife LSD. The gear ratio is 411. Very expensive! • The rear half shafts are the larger (and stronger) ones from a 320i Wheels I have 3 sets • 13x6 Mahle (BBS) basketweaves • 13x6 BWA Sportstars. These are highly sought after Italian wheels because they are so light. Rare. • 14x7 BMW basketweaves off a 325is. Great wheels. NEW Motor The 2002 motor is 1990cc; in BMWspeak it’s known as an M-10. The block is cast iron and the head is aluminum. The motor can make from 100HP to 255HP+ depending on how it’s built. I choose to go the reliable route and make about 155HP. • Carburetion is by twin 40DCOE sidedraft Webers. These carbs were rebuilt in 2016. Parts are readily available. • NEW The camshaft is a Shrick 292. This is the most aggressive cam you can put in the motor w/o enlarging the cam journals. A lot of people actually like this cam in higher compression motors because it produces good torque. • The pistons are from a 2002tii – 9.5:1. • NEW Racing Heads and rods • The oil pan is baffled so as not to starve the oil pump • The front pulley is an underdrive design (less parasitic loss) • It has an oil cooler • Accusump pressurized oil reservoir to guard against oil pressure loss • The radiator is custom made by BE-COOL • The distributor is stock with a Petronics optical design installed • The header is an oversize Stahl (German) • NEW exhaust is custom built

Selling a running and driving 1973 BMW 2002. This car was donated to a charity by the original owner, a little old lady in the California mountains late last year. I bought it off the guy who won it at auction, I then shipped it here to Florida. This is a very honest, straight and original car. The hood looks to have been replaced as has the driver door. The passenger door should be replaced as well considering the rust under the glass. The rockers have some rust. The floor pans are beautiful, there is a small rust hole under the pedal box assembly in the pan that has gone to the frame rail as well (very common) other than that the car underneath is solid, and is very straight. The rear shock towers are very solid. The car has the original solex carb and fires right up off the key although the battery is dead and needs replaced. The car leaks fuel in the engine bay, not sure if the old cloth lines or the carburetor. Ive only driven it off the trailer a few blocks up to my driveway but it brakes and shifts very well, and drives straight as an arrow. The radio works, i am unsure of the AC. The interior is complete and presents very nicely for being original. Good bumpers (front could use a rechrome), glass, and trim is all complete. Perfect candidate for a project. I have a clean and clear title for it. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask. I can be reached anytime at 386-690-3860. Thanks for looking.

< 1974 BMW 2002 Tii FACTORY SUNROOF COUPE WITH 4 SPEED Authentic original 1974 BMW 2002 Tii with 4 speed manual gearbox , factory sunroof and Kugelfischer fuel injection system . 72,000 miles , Original colors of Chamonix with navy blue interior , the car was repainted 20 years ago and has been maintained to drive but never restored . The car is of "driver" quality , quite clean and very presentable with some small cosmetic deficiencies one would expect for an unrestored car of the age . It overall retains all the original desirable bits one looks for in a Tii . It runs and drives quite well , starts easily , shifts , brakes and stops fine . The mileage of 72,000 plus is believed to be original and the clear title indicates actual mileage , but there is no other documentation for it . The car presents nicely but upon close inspection will show some isolated areas of the paint that have some bubbles . We have photographed these and you can find them in the thumbnail pictures . The spare tire well has been previously repaired . The shock towers look good . There is a small rust area under the drivers side floor below the pedals . (see pics in thumbnails) . The interior is quite nice overall . There is some yellowing of the original headliner but no rips. The sunroof is manual , opens and closes fine , does not leak but sometimes will bind when closing and shows some light vertical scratches on the painted surface . It has a 4 into 1 exhaust header which flows into stainless free flow muffler which gives a very nice note and a light burble on the let off . The car has all new alloy wheels and Kumho tires in the correct size . There is also another set of BBS style BMW alloys in 15 inch that can go with the car if wanted .Overall a very decent  , original and presentable car , not perfect but quite usable as is . We have taken numerous photos trying to show every aspect of the car , so please do look at them and then , should you have any questions , please ask , before buying .We have decades of experience shipping cars of all types around the globe so if you are located elsewhere , please ask for a quote to most major ports worldwide . We will handle all of the shipping arrangements for you (at buyers expense) and you simply pickup at the port . Please inquire . < PLEASE CLICK ON ANY THUMBNAIL TO ENLARGE PLEASE NOTE , THE TERMS OF THIS SALE ARE THAT THE CAR IS SOLD STRICTLY ON AN "AS IS " BASIS . The BMW 3-series model line consists of some of the most magnificent sports cars to ever hit the showroom floor and are among the most well balanced cars money can buy. These cars always maintained the quality of the driving experience as a priority all while making the design practical enough for day to day use. The root of the 3-series can be traced back to the 1960’s when BMW was having quite a bit of financial difficulty as a result of low sales in the U.S. market in addition to still feeling the after effects of WWII. BMW was trying to insert their affordable sedans onto American buyers but there was not much room with thousands of Mustangs and Camaros parked in people’s garages. No one really wanted a 4-door family saloon with a German badge when they could have an American made sports coupe with a powerful V8 at their disposal. BMW realized this and wondered, well, what if we make a car with less doors and more power? So, that is exactly what they did. In 1968, BMW debuted the 2002 which used a 2-door platform but maintained enough room in the cabin for 4 passengers. This design was revolutionary for BMW had essentially created the first sports sedan. A sports car with enough room to put the kids in the back, as well as a large boot for luggage but also incorporated a proper suspension system and a canted 2.0L engine. This was the home run BMW needed to pull themselves out of their post war rut and little did they know, they would go onto sell over 800,000 units. In 1972, BMW released a high-performance version of the 2002 called the tii which was identical to the standard cars but it replaced the carburetors with a Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection system. This allowed the car to produce 135bhp which was 30 more than the standard model. The 2002 is now viewed and beloved as one the best driver’s cars ever built, setting the stage for cars such as the almighty E30 M3 to come about. This was a car that embodied performance, iconic styling, all while remaining very practical. Achieving this balance in their sports cars has become BMW’s calling card and why we have an avid enthusiasm for them here at LBI. Now, let us get to the example on offer. The example offered here is a 1974 BMW 2002tii, chassis number 2781032, a matching numbers example that has received some tasteful upgrades during restoration to further enhance road and track capabilities. This example was a California car that had a performance oriented restoration completed by the folks at Groma Race Fabrication in Los Angeles. The car was then purchased from Groma and owned in California for a period of time until it was then sold to a gentleman in Maryland in 2011. Since then, the car has made its way to its current owner in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania and is now in search of its next custodian. The exterior of this example is refinished in a stunning, but non-factory BMW Navy Blue color that in combination with the deleted chrome belt-line trim really accentuates the natural body lines of this car, giving it a sleek appearance. This car was built to be driven so it is to be noted that there are some blemishes from enjoyed road use. Currently, the paint shows well from 10 feet but as one inspects it closely there a few items that come to light. The first is that there is some moderate chipping located on the front end of the car, the worst of it being on the lower, turbo style, valence from high-speed driving. There are also some more mild paint chips on the nose of the car along the hood line which are all in line with a driver quality example. Continuing with our assessment of the car, one may overlook a subtle alteration that has been made to the front and rear fenders which have been artfully rolled out to accommodate the 15” Rota Alpina style wheels. It makes for a welcomed aesthetic appearance and the wider wheels means wider tires which means more grip, thus, more fun in the corners. The panel gaps are straight and even throughout, displaying no signs that this example endured any serious damage or rust at any point. The remaining chrome trim pieces (windshield frame, headlamp and taillamp bezels, front grill, door mirrors, emblems) and rear bumper (very rare 2002 Turbo bumper) have no serious pitting but have dulled a bit which could easily be remedied with a good polish. The glass on the car is free of any cracking, chips, or deep scratches presenting as one would expect given the condition of the of rest of the car. Moving our focus to the interior, there are several upgrades beginning with the Recaro front seats from a later 3-series. They are in superb condition with no tears, wrinkling, or fading with rear stock seats in much of the same condition. To accommodate to track safety regulations and overall stiffness to the chassis, there has also been a four-point roll cage installed but in such a manner that still grants passengers access to the rear seats. On the dash, there is an area where it has been previously patched but done so very well and can hardly be seen. The original steering wheel has been replaced by a Moto Lita wheel with a BMW horn button. The custom aluminum brushed center console houses the Sun Performance gauges and aftermarket AM/FM radio. The rugs have no significant blemishes with the coco mats having done their job. The only real eye sore regarding the interior are the door jams which show evidence of use having developed some chipping and minor surface rust. Depending on one’s intentions for this car, it could easily be corrected but for anyone looking for regular use it likely makes no difference. An inspection of the engine bay will conclude some further modifications including a larger radiator, modern wiring, strut bar, and painted valve cover and exhaust manifold. The 2.0L engine has been fully built and tuned to squeeze every bit of power out of it with heightened responsiveness. All work was done tastefully with the engine bay coming off as neat and well sorted. The rear boot shows much of the same with a clean mat as well as the nooks and crannies free of rust. The undercarriage of this car is an area where a lot of time was spent to ensure that this car handled as well as it could without having to completely chop up the car. This example has received performance shocks, coil springs, front and rear camber bars, in addition to front and rear sway bars. The frame shows straight and true with no indications that this car ever incurred any damage. Cosmetically, things appear in tandem with a drive quality example with a moderate amount of use but still presentable. The mechanics of this car have been dialed-in and any post build “teething” issues this car may have had were addressed. It starts from cold with a turn of the key and a tap of the gas consistently. Once warm, the car runs flawlessly with the nippy 2.0L power plant propels you down the straights and into the corners. The modifications to the suspension systems make the car extremely composed in the turns and gives the user confidence to push the limits of the car. The clutch operates without fault and the lovely upgraded 5-speed gearbox going in and out of gear seamlessly. There has been a complete 2.5” exhaust fabricated specifically for this car allowing the engine to breathe better all while producing a fabulous soundtrack that only a tii could achieve. The braking system has been sorted through in full and performs as such, making this car feel much more modern than it really is. In summation, this 2002tii has taken one of the best driver’s cars of all time and further refined all the qualities that make this car great. It is certainly not a trailer queen, but that is just fine as these cars were built to be driven. The well thought-out upgrades and modifications make this car unique and appreciated by any enthusiast. This car possesses the iconic looks one can admire for hours at a time and the driving capabilities that make you want to take the long way home. Offered with the sale are some of the original books, spare, and some documentation.

Please contact me for a complete list of the extra parts included with the sale. Please contact me if you wish to purchase the extra parts separately. I will consider listing the extra parts for sale individually through buy-it-now. Any individual sale of an extra part will be through eBay. THE PICTURES: I have posted 24 pictures, attempting to show the car in its true form. It appears that eBay will not allow me to post any additional pictures here. I have more photos. If you require additional photos, please contact me. Be sure to include your email address and telephone number, and I will be happy to talk to you first and to send the photos to you. HISTORY OF THE CAR: I bought my 1976 BMW 2002 in Maryland about 12 years ago. I have driven the car about 15,000 miles. The car has never let me down. I would like to sell the car to someone who appreciates the car for what it is. It's a survivor. It is one of the last 2002's manufactured by BMW, which stopped making the Model 2002 in 1976. I have enjoyed owning and driving the car. I hope that the next owner will enjoy owning and driving it, as well. THE GOOD: This car is a "driver." The next owner could restore the car, modify it for racing, or drive it in its present condition. This car is fun to drive, and it gets a lot of attention. The car starts, idles, runs, and stops as it should. It is equipped with a 4 speed manual transmission, sunroof, fog lights, Weber 32/36 carburetor, and aftermarket alloy wheels. The seats had been reupholstered before I purchased the car. The door cards are in excellent condition. They are not cut for stereo speakers. The shock towers are rust free. Last year, I replaced the Interstate Battery, two tires, and the clutch master cylinder. All of the lights work. The horn works. The car should pass a Virginia State Inspection. The car is eligible for Virginia Antique License Plates. THE NOT SO GOOD: The car needs a paint job. There is a little bit of rust in several of the body panels, a dent in the driver's door, and the clear coat is peeling. The motor burns some oil. It's burned oil since I owned it. I change the oil every 3,000 miles. I use Castrol 10W40 for high mileage vehicles. I check the oil when I fill the gas tank, and I add oil when it needs it. The dash has a couple of cracks. The blower motor does not work. It didn't work when I bought the car. The sunroof crank handle "droops" due to a bad spring. It's a common problem. The door weatherstripping is worn; however, the car comes with a set of new door weatherstripping. The windows open and close, but the regulators should be adjusted or replaced. The hazard light switch is held closed by a push pin (a simple fix to a common problem). The brake master cylinder is leaking and should be replaced. The part is $80.00. It's a small repair which I may have done before the car is sold. Because the car has a Weber carburetor with an automatic electric choke, the car can be difficult to start when the weather is cold. That's normal. With persistence, the car will start. It runs like a charm. THE EXTRAS: The car comes with a valuable assortment of extra parts, including a set of 4 Turbo Wheels, and a set of 2 rust-free doors. I have posted a picture of the Turbo Wheels. Also, I have posted a picture of the set of doors, which are stored in a shed. You can see only one of the doors in the picture I have posted. There is another door behind the door that is visible in the photo. Please contact me for a complete list of the extra parts I shall include with the sale. The car is for sale "as is." I encourage anyone interested in bidding on the car to make an appointment to see it. The car has been listed for sale locally. I reserve the right to end the auction early at any time for any reason or for no reason. Please contact me by email with any questions. Please include your telephone number. I will call you to discuss. If you intend to have the car shipped, please let me know the name of the shipper and what arrangements you have made to have the car shipped before you bid. A NONREFUNDABLE deposit of $1,000.00 by Paypal must be received within 2 days of the end of the auction, and payment in full only by cash or USPS money orders must be received within 3 days of the end of the auction; otherwise, the car will be relisted for sale. Payment in full must be received before the car is released and the title is transferred.

PLEASE NOTE: I have decided to sell my 1976 BMW 2002 as a package deal. This listing includes the car and a valuable assortment of extra parts I had purchased for the car during the past 12 years that I have owned it including: a rare set of 4 BMW 2002 factory-option Bottle Top Wheels, made by either Mahle or FPS, (est. value $1,000), a set of 2 rust-free BMW 2002 Inca Orange doors (est. value $500), and BMW 2002 door weatherstripping (est value. $400.00). Please contact me if you wish to purchase any of the extra parts separately, without buying the car. I will consider listing the extra parts for sale separately via Ebay buy-it-now listings. PICTURES: I have posted 24 pictures of the car and of the extra parts, with the exception of the weatherstripping. I have attempted to show the car in its true form. There are no glamour shots. The photos have not been retouched. It appears that eBay will not allow me to post any additional pictures here. If you require additional photos, please contact me. Be sure to include your email address and telephone number, and I will be happy to talk to you first before I send the photos to you. HISTORY OF THE CAR: BMW stopped making the Model 2002 in 1976. My 1976 BMW 2002 is one of the last 2002's made by BMW. It is a survivor. It does not appear that this car has ever been in an accident. I bought the car in Maryland about 12 years ago. The previous owner told me that he had owned the car for about three years, that he stored it in his brother's garage, and that he rarely drove it. He decided to sell the car because he had just purchased a Mini with a great stereo system. The previous owner told me that he had bought the car from a doctor who had spent a considerable amount of money to have the car restored. The car was very presentable. The body was very straight. The chrome was very nice. The interior of the car was in excellent condition. It was apparent that the paint job was less than ideal. The clear coat had begun to fail. There was some surface rust visible, but not much. One day a couple of years after I had bought the car, I discovered that several rust holes in the rocker panels had been concealed with a combination of tape, paint, undercoating, and guile. That was not a good day. THIS CAR IS DEPENDABLE: I have driven the car about 15,000 miles during the past 12 years. The engine has plenty of pep. The car has never let me down. I have enjoyed owning and driving the car. I hope that the next owner will enjoy owning and driving it, as well. THE GOOD: This car is a "driver," but it is not my "daily driver." The car is fun to drive, and it gets a lot of attention. It has been my toy. The next owner could restore the car, modify it for racing, or drive it in its present condition. The car starts, idles, runs, and stops as it should. It is equipped with a 4 speed manual transmission, sunroof, fog lights operated by a rare original BMW oem auxiliary fog light switch with a yellow button, Weber 32/36 carburetor, and aftermarket alloy wheels. The previous owner told me that he replaced the muffler with a better one, which makes a delightful sound. I like it, too. The sunroof does not leak. The seats had been reupholstered before I purchased the car. The door cards are in excellent condition. They are not cut for stereo speakers. The shock towers are rust free. Last year, I replaced the Interstate Battery, two tires, and the clutch master cylinder. Also, I had the Weber 32/36 carburetor rebuilt. The tires are in good condition. All of the lights work. The horn works. The car is registered in Virginia as an Antique Vehicle; therefore, it does not need a yearly inspection. I'm sure that it could pass one. I paid a one time fee with Virginia DMV to have the car registered as an Antique Vehicle. I believe the cost was only $50.00. Insurance is cheap. THE NOT SO GOOD: The car has a couple of dents and some rust (see below). The clear coat is peeling in places, and it would benefit greatly from a quality paint job. The motor burns (or uses) some oil. It's done so since I owned it. It's not uncommon for an older car to use some oil. The door weatherstripping is worn; however, the car comes with a set of new door weatherstripping, which I would encourage the new owner to install AFTER painting the car. The windows open and close, but the regulators should be adjusted or replaced. The hazard light switch is held closed by a push pin (a simple fix to a common problem). The BMW hazard light switch was poorly designed. There are only three wheel caps. Merchant's of Harrisonburg broke one of the four wheel caps when they serviced the car. The service manager promised to provide me with a set of matching wheel caps. I am still waiting for him to keep his promise. The brake master cylinder is leaking and should be replaced. It's a small repair (about $140.00 for the part and labor) which I may have done before the car is sold. Because the car has a Weber carburetor with an automatic electric choke, the car can be temperamental when starting the car when the weather is cold. That's normal. With persistence, the car will start. When the car warms up, it runs like a top. RUST? DID YOU SAY RUST? OMG! WHERE IS THE RUST? 1. The hood has some rust just above the chrome trim above the turn signal. The rust is visible in Picture no. 1. Also, there is some surface rust below the windshield, which is visible in Picture nos. 13-16. 2. The trunk lid has some surface rust below the back window, which visible in Picture no. 12. 3. The driver's door has some rust under the bubbling paint near the left front tire, which is visible in Picture no. 13. 4. The passenger side rear quarter panel has some rust under the chrome trim near the right rear tire, which is visible in Picture no. 18. 5. The front valence has some surface rust, which is visible in Picture no. 19. 6. The driver's side rocker panel had rust in two places. The rust has been repaired. (I have pictures I can send to you.) 7. The passenger side rocker panel has two small rust holes (about the size of a half dollar, maybe). (I will take pictures and send them to you.) 8. On the passenger side near the front wheel, the small area designated to place the jack has rusted. The area is visible in Picture no. 20. 9. There is some rust on the driver's side quarter panel which is visible when the hood is open. (I will take a picture and send it to you.) 10. There is some surface rust on the roof near the rain gutter trim. (I have pictures I can send to you.) 11. There is some rust near the windshield. ( I will take pictures to send to you.) THE GOODIES: The car comes with a valuable assortment of extra parts, including: a rare set of 4 BMW 2002 factory-option Bottle Top Wheels made by either Mahle or FPS (est. value $1,000), a set of 2 rust-free BMW 2002 Inca Orange doors (est. value $500), and BMW 2002 door weatherstripping (est. value $400.00). I posted a picture of the Bottle Top Wheels, and I posted a picture of the set of doors. The doors are stored in a shed. You can see only one of the doors in the picture I posted. I assure you that there is another orange door behind the orange door that is visible in the photo. COMMON QUESTIONS: WHY ARE YOU SELLING THE CAR?: I have decided to buy a Miata. My preference is to purchase a 1991 (British Racing Green), 1992 (Sunburst Yellow), or 1993 (Brilliant Black with Red interior) limited edition model. I will also consider a 1997 M edition model (Marina Green) or a 2001 M edition (British Racing Green). I will keep an open mind, and I am open to suggestions. If you have a Miata for sale you would like to discuss with me, I welcome to contact me. WHY SHOULD YOU BUY MY 1976 BMW 2002?: For BMW 2002's, the final year was the best year. "The later rectangular taillamp models have their own strong following, as these cars feel a little more solid, and corner a little flatter, than the earlier models. The one to avoid is the '75 model due to their one-year-only distributor and emissions-strangled engine that resulted in poor performance. These models can be modified easily as every 2002 mechanical part is interchangeable among the car's entire production run. Since all the bugs were worked out by the time the final 1976 models were produced, these are, without question, the best-built 2002s of them all." Hemmings (citation omitted pursuant to eBay rules) DOES THE AIR CONDITIONING WORK?: NO. The car did not come with a/c. It is rare to find a BMW 2002 with a/c. DOES THE CAR HAVE A RADIO?: NO. DO YOU BELIEVE THAT THE MOTOR NEEDS TO BE REBUILT? No. The The motor appears to run fine to me. IF YOU KEEP THE CAR, NAME THREE THINGS YOU WOULD WANT TO DO TO IT: 1. Paint it. 2. Fix the blower motor 3. Install electric windows. WHAT WILL IT COST TO PAINT THE CAR? I have been quoted the price of $2,000.00 to have the car re-painted in its original color by a local shop that specializes in BMW 2002 restorations: E&E Body Shop and Restoration in Broadway, Virginia, which is owned and operated by John Estep (540) 421-1095. John is familiar with my car, and he would like the opportunity to paint it. I am familiar with his work. He would do a good job. WHO ELSE HAS WORKED ON YOUR CAR? John Davis of Classic Motorsports in Weyers Cave, Virginia also is familiar with my car. I highly recommend Classic Motorsports. John is a skilled mechanic, and his shop does good work. John can be reached at (540) 234-0707. TERMS OF SALE: The car is for sale "as is." I encourage anyone interested in bidding on the car and the extra parts to make an appointment to see the car first. COMMENT FROM EBAY MEMBER: I received the following comment from an ebay member: Mrs. malaprop, the obvious concern amongst your list of 'not so good' issues is the rust that you mention on 'several' of the body panels. do you have any more shots of the 'not so good' The extent of the rust , especially under the car , in the floors , along the door sills and at the shock towers. Thank you , its a beautiful car and it deserves to be restored , i just need to know if I can afford the bodywork. My very best regards Mrs. H____, Fort lauderdale Note: I agree with Mrs. H that the car deserves to be restored. I have included as many pictures as I could of the "not so good." The rust on the car is mostly just surface rust, although there are several areas which have "rusted through." The floor boards, shock towers, and door sills are rust free.
