I'm the second owner of this car, bought it from a family member, it's been garaged all his life, the car has been great since day one, never gave me any problems. Car runs great, smooth and strong, not a single issue. All maintenance done, timing belt and water pump were replaced at 85k miles. The car is loaded with features, cruise control, power windows, power locks, sunroof, power driver seat, 6-CD MP3 player, electric power steering, climatronic temperature control with electric heating (not waiting for the engine to warm up), ice cold A/C and more. The car is stock with the exception of tinted windows and a trailer hitch. It has a brand new set of Continental ExtremeContact Ultra High Performance tires with less than 2000 miles on them. For sale 2006 Jetta TDI, This was my daily ride until 2 weeks ago......started knocking and blowing black smoke on acceleration. 2006 VW Jetta TDI - Very good condition, 196,000 miles. Car is black on black with manual 5 speed transmission, heated leather seats, heated mirrors, power moon roof. Car is clean and runs/drives nicely averaging 39/40 mpg, we have gotten just under 49 mpg on long highway trips. Two new front tires (in @ 3500 mi) & four wheel alignment. New OEM touch screen radio. Just changed oil, oil filter, engine air filter, fuel filter and cabin air filter. The cylinder head (new upgraded cam & lifters) was re-done & new timing belt and water pump, just before we purchased @ 120,000. Windshield and rear tires replaced in last year (in@15,000mi). The car was purchased 3 years ago to see if we liked the diesel, we have saved at least $6000.00 on fuel in three years. The only reason this car is being sold is we just got a 2011 Jetta TDI Wagon (we now have two TDI wagons) this is a great car we just don't need it. EGR Delete with block off plates and tuned out.. This is something you definitely need done.. it improves gas mileage and now you never have to worry about the EGR valve going bad. The Bad.. Very minimal rust bubbling around front, left wheel well Rust bubbling around rear spoiler mounts. Left/Rear tire needs to be rebalanced, weight fell off at some point. Slight vibration around 70-75 mph. Easy fix. 8" crack in windshield Car drives and runs 100%, just this past week I drove it 800 miles straight to Kentucky and back. I am the 2nd owner and have owned this car the past 3 years, I purchased it with 100K miles. Its my first diesel I have owned and after 3 years and averaging almost 45mpg I am a firm believer in these TDI's. So much so that the only reason I'm selling it is because I purchased a newer Audi A3 TDI. Absolutely nothing wrong with this car mechanically. Buy it and start saving lots of money on fuel. Looking for fuel economy? How does 30 MPG City and 42 MPG Highway sound? This car has only had one local owner since new, and my wife and I have been using it as our personal vehicle since April. As soon as I got this car in, I had the local TDI specialist shop check it out thoroughly and service it. They changed the oil and filter (correct synthetic oil from VW) and fuel filter, and installed a new boost pressure valve and actuator (also from VW). I also had high quality ceramic window tint installed (lifetime warranty). The tires are Pirelli - one is brand new and the other three have excellent tread. We've put about 7,500 miles on this car without a single issue. As you can imagine, it drives perfect and is ready to go anywhere you want to take it. The Carfax Report is perfectly clean and there isn't any evidence of any previous accidents. No leaks, no vibrations, no noises, and no strange smells. This car is really enjoyable car to drive. The engine light in the gauge cluster stays lit and the engine code says "EGR Valve Stuck Closed". At the recommendation of the TDI shop, they actually suggested leaving it exactly as it is since the result of the EGR Valve being stuck in the closed position is less carbon and soot gets redirected back into the engine's oil and intake manifold - which is a really good thing for the life of the engine. This does not cause any driveability issues whatsoever. The car drives perfect. If the buyers chooses to have this fixed after their purchase, they will simply need to have the EGR valve replaced. As for the condition of the car, the interior is extremely clean. The seats and all upholstery are in exceptional condition. Never smoked in. The interior looks excellent. Everything works perfect from the power panoramic sunroof to the door locks, windows, cruise control, etc. The A/C is ice cold and the Heat is hot. All original books, manuals, window sticker, and keys are included. Very clean car. The exterior is also in excellent condition. The Carfax Report is perfectly clean. No evidence of any previous accidents. The paint is in great shape and shines excellent. There are a couple small spots on the bottom of the driver's rear door where the clear coat has come off (close-up picture included). Beyond that, no cosmetic issues at all. The car really looks amazing. As you can see, this car shows extremely well. This car is ready to be driven anywhere you want to take it. Selling my 1 owner 2006 VW Jetta TDI. This has served as my commuter car for the last 9 years. It's been garaged at home and work every day since I purchased it. This is without a doubt in my mind the best looking 2006 Jetta you will find regardless of miles. Paint is in absolutely excellent condition--have had some minor body work with no frame damage at all. Some very minor scratches on rear bumper and wheels. Interior is excellent condition (sans headliner) with only the driver's seat seeing use. The driver door panel has some chipping and wear but nothing too bad. The headliner is in need of some regluing. Mechanically the car is in excellent condition and has always been well maintained. The flywheel does have the TDI clattering during idle that is very common with this vehicle. If you choose to replace the Dual Mass Flywheel it will run you $915. It's never really bothered me. I encourage inspection prior to purchase. $500 deposit must be made within 24 hours with balance due in 5 days. No lien on this vehicle. Title is in hand.
