I do want to note that the "Engine" and "Air bag" idiot lights have been lit for a couple years now with the engine light going on and off on occasion. Was advised by a mechanic that the air bag light is likely a short in the connector under the drivers seat (a common AUDI issue) and engine light could be sensors, etc., ( Another common AUDI issue) not sure but hasn't affected driving it these years.

Up For Sale is a 2001 Audi A6 Quattro sport with the highly desired twin turbo V6 engine. This is a beautiful car.... The exterior is as straight as they come for the age. The interior is in decent shape... The driver seat does have a tear on the side of the back rest. However, the rest of the interior is still in good shape. The engine runs great... It has 171K on the engine and all of the major service was just completed. I'm not sure when, but the transmission was replaced at some point in time. It looks fairly new and shifts great. Here is a list of maintenance done within the last 200 miles: -New Timing belt (oem) -New water pump (oem) -All new seals on the top of the engine (valve covers, cam adjusters, cam seals, cam plugs) -New spark plugs -New coil pack -New battery This car runs and drives great... Thanks for taking a look at this car. I have always been a fan of Audi. This is a clean great running car that appears to be well maintained and ready to go anywhere. The engine and transmission are in great shape. The interior is in very good shape and has less than normal wear for the year and miles. All items work as they should and the AC blows ice cold. The LCD screen in the center of the instrument cluster has pixelated. We have ordered a new screen and will replace it before the car is delivered. The paint on this car is in good shape. It shines well and the clear coat is in tact. The car is a beautiful dark green metallic however, I believe the paint to be original and the only trouble with a dark color is every stone chip and small scratch is amplified. For this reason I have lowered the asking price. It is still a very presentable car and looks great in the photos but I believe in full disclosure. This car is being sold by a license dealer in the state of Florida. The car is being sold with not implied warranty. The dealer fees of $299.00 on this transaction are not include in the price and represent the dealers cost on paperwork, preparation and profit on the vehicle. Up for sale is my beloved 2001 Audi A6 with the desirable 2.7 Bi-turbo engine. I purchased this car about a month ago. The car ran good but needed new spark plugs and rotors/brakes to run great. Also the suspension tie-rods were a little loose and replaced on the driver & passenger side, now the suspension is all tight. After replacing the spark plugs with OEM NKG spark plugs the car runs wonderfully now. According to the mechanic that did the brakes and spark plugs, my engine and transmission are in excellent condition. Starts instantly like a brand new car and has great throttle response, the transmission is so smooth you cant feel it shifting. I was planning to keep putting money into this car as it really is a keeper, but unfortunately I need the money and must sell it. The car needs a wash and is a little dirty in the pictures.The bad:*The exterior has a few minor rust spots and holes but none of them are so big and un-patchable.*The drivers seat has a small 3-way rip on the right rear of the bottom cushion, I know an upholstery shop that could sew it for $50 and make it look very acceptable.*The rear bench bottom cushion has had battery acid spill from transporting a battery and the passanger rear seat is burnt badly. It would need a new rear bench which ranged from $50 (junk yard) to $130 (Wolf auto used audi parts) for a new one, with 2 minute easy instillation.*The headlights are a little hazy and could use a polish to bring back to life.As you see, the car is not perfect, but it is perfect where it needs to be, which is mechanically. I was planning to spend at least another $1000 on this car for the cosmetic imperfections to really make it a proud-worthy Audi to own, as it is a delight to drive.
