Tons of upgrades including full Banks Power Pack, NEW HX40 turbo with 4 inch straight pipe, mild injectors, trans cooler, k&N Cold Air Intake, aftermarket stereo, rear air bags, 5th wheel rails, front push bar and receiver and electronics for Myer plow system. Also front suspension, tie rods, ball joints, essentially the entire front end was rebuilt by AAA Auto shop mid 2016 and also has a national warranty on it. Truck is tagged til mid 2017. The bad-needs body work and engine has a decent tap (starts and drives but I wouldn't recommend driving it), I think it's a valve, but it may not be. Could fix it myself but I just don't have the time anymore. I have put over $7500 in parts an labor into this truck in the last 7-8 months and still have most of the receipts/records to prove it. 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel. 5-Speed Manual transmission. Laramie SLT edition loaded with every factory option. Ext Cab 4x4. 279k miles which means nothing for these 12 Valves. The interior was never smoked in and is super clean and free of major stains or tears. The paint is 1997 Dodge paint so of course it isn't perfect. The front fenders are the worst as fas as losing clear coat. Factory Stock with Cruise, A/C, power windows, seat, and locks. It starts and runs like it is brand spanking new. It has had the crucial and very expensive Killer Dowel Pin (KDP) tabbed as well as the 5th gear nut fix. The clutch is as new and also has a brand new $200 starter and the transmission and the transfer case were just serviced to the tune of $765. The fuel filter was changed more then recommended so a Genos Garage spin on attachment was installed for easy changing. There are no dummy lights on and it drives down the road with no silly squeaks, rattles, shimmies, or pulls. The A/C, Cruise, power seat, windows, and door locks all work perfect. The front end, the doors, not even the seat sags on this truck. It is tight and solid. It has never been in an accident or had any body work done. There is only one spot of rust above the right rear wheel. There is absolutely no other rust as seen in pictures. All other panels are completely dry. I have a Carfax printed out. There is not one crack on the dash. This thing is factory stock just like they should be. It has the 3:55 gear ratio with the Dana 70. If you know my ebay handle, I have had tons of these trucks and I cannot express to you how solid this one is. This is a 1 out of 10 rig that is more solid than most with half the mileage.. It has been taken care of like no other and is ready to go just as it sits.. Someone is going to be very lucky and happy with this truck.. It can be shipped anywhere in the world. The Story: This is a very hard to find Cummins/6 Spd drive-train combo quad cab truck. This rig was used as a work truck but it was adult owned, never abused, non smoking and very well maintained. This truck has some dents, dings and scratches as you would expect from a work truck but is very tight mechanically. This truck starts, runs, shifts, drives and stops excellent in every way, it is a good tight, string running rig and it will not disappoint you. Options and Equipment: Has a very powerful 5.9L Cummins engine, 6 spd trans, 4WD, power windows/locks, tilt, AC, heated/power mirrors, keyless entry, cruise, fog lights, tow package, receiver hitch, seats 6, very clean non smoking gray cloth interior, good glass, a good set of matched Cooper AT tires on alloy rims and never any rust (still has factory frame stickers, see photos underneath) We installed 2 new batteries, gave this truck a full safety inspection, oil/filter change, checked all fluids, air filter, inspected the brakes and undercarriage, has been professionally cleaned inside etc. This is a used 11 year old work truck and as you would expect there are imperfections, scratches, dings, wear, etc. I am being very "nit-picky" on some of this stuff because I value my reputation/feedback. Here is the deal... Mechaincally truck is solid the 12 valve fires right up, strong tranny turbo has a bad seal and leaks oil otherwise can be fired up but will need trailered to be safe. The frame and structure is perfect, body is rough dents, minor rust, inside not too bad...As I said I have a standing offer of 3 grand on motor/pump and harness the dealer installes these solid 12v engines in blown up 6.0 Fords, need offers over 3 g's for me to take serious. Owner was a cummins diesel mechanic and rebuilt both the engine and tranny at 200K with most all stock prts but some upgrade stuff like head bolts ect. Truck is better than it was off the assembly line. She fires right up, no smoke, blow by or leaks. Good tight front end and rubber, shifts perfect, inside it is also very clean non smoker truck, no cracks rips or stains, all toys working, good cold air condition. Exterior body mint and super straight, no body work or accidents all orig paint, frame and underbody all like perfect shape no rust, lived its entire life in Washington state. Has a few add ons like a leval kit, aftermarket wheels and 33's, tow package and pilar gauge set. Has some of the factory clear coat flaking off on sides but overall real nice,,,On the price I paid up to pry it from the owners garage, my price is pretty firm so don't waste time lowballing but here is your other option.. I have another 97 Ram 2500 SLT ext 4x4 with a 5 speed with around 200 some miles I serviced this one last few years, runs perfect needs paint/detailing for show condition or perfect work truck as it is, I wont waste time with picts if your serious and have a small budget for a 12v stick just stop up bring cash we'll deal in person. thanks Tom
