hate to sell no more time for my precious ride. I love this car. Needs wheel alignment. Runs great still on regular oil. Motor got broken on on dyno . I was advise to break in at least 500-1000 miles before synthetic.Two kids eating up all my time . Two seats . Hello and welcome to my listing. I have for sale an Original 1991 Mr2 Turbo. It only has a 93,658 original miles. It does have a new heart!!! Original Motor was replaced due to knocking bottom end. I chose to swap in the higher Hp JDM 3sgte gen4 Turbo Caldina motor! Because it's a newer generation 3sgte it did require engine harness modification which was done professionally. This motor is mated to original e153 non-LSD Transmission from the Mr2. The clutch was replaced with stage 4 Competition sprung 6 puck clutch kit! Fuel pump was also replaced with High flow walboro 255lph! The axles were replaced with gator Stage 1 axles! This motor runs great and sounds nice. It does have a real HKS sequential blow off valve also! This car has factory A/C but will need to be charged as I never had a need to use it. The paint is good quality base coat clear coat and was painted about 1 year ago. No rust or accidents on this car! The interior is a Rare blue color that came in some Turbo models. The dash, door panels are in great condition! The seats are good condition aswell although the driver seat has small tear in bolster from use! The windows and locks are manual and all work great. The glovebox has a crack inside but closes just fine. No radio never got around to installing one but speakers and wiring is all there! The T-tops are in great shape no leaks and the original covers are included!!! Factory mr2 front bra included also! The suspension and brakes and rims are original and are in good shape! The front trunk is clean and has factory spare tires. The rear trunk is clean also. Overall this car is in great shape and runs great and is fast! Please contact me with any questions!!!

The vehicle started out as a normally aspirated stock 1991 Toyota MR-2, and i have invested more than $6,500 above base price on an engine upgrade and a transmission rebuild in addition to other minor refurbishment to make this one of the smoothest driving and "freshest" cars of its kind in the country. our family has grown by 3 kids in 3 years and it's time for me to say goodbye to the 2-seater and use the cash on something i can strap a few car seats into.I bought the car in late 2012 from an experienced shop that swapped in a new GEN 4 Turbo engine from an early 2000's JDM Toyota Caldina and refurbished the vehicle. Since purchase I have invested in more overhauls while driving the car less than 150 miles in a typical month. Although the chassis (originally a non-turbo) has over 160k miles i was told by the seller that the swapped JDM Gen4 Turbo engine had less than 65k on it. The swap was done by the trustworthy pros at Prime MR-2 in New Jersey. They are MR2 specialists and the best in the country at these swaps and their excellent summary of the process, the benefits, their experience with swaps, and estimated specs can be found at the Prime MR2Website. NOTE: I am not affiliated with Prime MR2, I'm linking to their page for the best description of the work performed and the resulting specs As you will see at the site, the engine swap is a nearly $5,000 investment and pays big performance dividends. Other investments into the car include: -Completely rebuilt transmission (amazing difference - almost feels like a new car) in January 2015 - $1600+ investment. Less than 1000 miles driven since rebuild -Tinted Windows & T-Top Panels -A\C system Conversion from R12 freon to R134a (and recharged Freon late summer 2014)The car had new clutch, tires, brakes installed before i took delivery (probably less than 5,000 miles ago), and a fresh battery less than 2,000 miles ago. I have driven the car less than 1,000 miles per year since I bought it in October 2012, and not very aggressively - commuting and errands. The body and interior are nearly 25 years old, and obviously show use accordingly. there is some chipping, scratches in areas of the exterior, although most of that is constrained to accent areas rather than the body panels. The bumper paint is chipping in both corners. general interior wear and tear is probably better than your usual over-20-year-old vehicle . i've tried to show the wear and tear in the photos.the speedometer and odometer have not been working. this happened approximately 7 tankfuls (less than 2,000 miles) ago, it hasn’t bothered me (i know my speed by gear and RPM) and so I haven’t bothered to get it fixed. i've been told it is easily fixable for a couple hundred bucks of parts and labor.Please contact me with any questions.
