1990 Firebird Formula, 5.0 TPI, WS6, T-Top. This is a running and driving "project" car. I have recently changed the oil, changed cap rotor and plugs, replaced fuel pump, replaced 2 injectors and invested in a matching set of 255/50/16 Yokohama tires which is the largest tire that you can run on the stock wheels. The body on this car is very good with only one very minor dent in the left rear quarter (see last photo). There is no rust to speak of. The motor runs and idles good and I have had the compression checked and the motor is healthy. Mechanically the car still needs shocks all the way around, sway bar bushings, headlights don't go up and down, windshield is cracked and will need to be replaced. Cosmetically the interior is in poor condition although it is all there. The carpets, headliner and sun visors will all need to be replaced. The dash cap is cracked. The seats are good with no rips or tears. The wheels are in good overall condition and have not been curbed as most have. The car needs paint as it is on its original paint job. The original color is still on the car and is factory brilliant red. All in all this will make a great project for someone. 1990 was the lowest production year for the firebird. There are not a lot of these laying around any more and if you have been watching the market they are starting to head north following the 2nd Gen cars. If you have owned one of these in the past then you know how well they handle and how much fun they are to drive with the tops out.

This is an unmolested, 99% documented, tastefully modified car with 117K miles that has spent it's entire life on the west coast in southern California until I purchased it. This is a 2-owner car that was sold by the original owner in 2010. The original owner was incredibly picky with the car and kept all of the maintenance and modification records for the car. All of the repairs and modifications were professionally installed by either GM Dealerships or various performance shops in southern California INCLUDING Guldstrand Engineering. Most, if not all, of the performance modifications were installed by Guldstrand. The car will be sold along with the LARGE file of records documenting the car since it was new. Documentation items include the original window sticker, build sheets, “Thank you” letter from Pontiac to the new owner. I've sorted through all the documentation and it takes a 3" binder to hold it all; it might be one of the best documented 25 year old f-bodies out there. Some of the details on the car are…southern California car it's entire life, NEVER in an accident, black cloth interior, black exterior (car has been repainted by GM as part of the peeler program), 305 TPI (LB9) /T5, 9-bolt BW disc brake rear with 3.42 gears (rebuilt by GM with all bearings and seals replaced), 1LE front brake conversion with carbon metallic brake pads*, Edelbrock headers and y-pipe (Jet-Hot coated)*, polyurethane front suspension bushings including control arms*, Guldstrand tubular pan hard bar*, struts and shocks, Eibach Sportline springs front and rear, Dynomax cat-back exhaust*, clutch/pressure plate/flywheel replaced by GM, fuel pump replace by GM, fuel injectors replaced, BOTH headlights motors have been rebuilt by GM, power antenna replaced by GM, rear hatch pull down replaced by GM. Recent work performed on the car includes new heater core, new door weatherstrips, new REAR Polyurethane end-link bushings, new window stops (inside the door), and new tires with less than 50 miles on them. There are not many left in this condition particularly with all the performance modifications. The modifications in BOLD were performed by Guldstrand Engineering. The only negatives with the are involve the front bumper cover and the rear wing. The paint on the front cover is cracked, it's not overly bad but it could stand to be redone. The paint on the rear wing is also cracked. The rubber wing has also started to split in one small area at the main mounting point. It's not bad at this point and I've been told by a couple of body shops that it would be pretty easy to repair at this point and salvage the wing. Both of these items depend on whether you want an original GM paint car, or one that looks close to perfect in regards to the paint. I also have all new GM NOS labels for the radiator support cover to replace the originals that are missing. I've included pictures of the nose and wing but please let me know if you have any questions. This a very nice car that is in great shape. It runs and drives like a car with 17K miles, not the 117K that it shows. The previous owners took very good car and cut no corners with repairs and maintenance. I reserve the right to end the listing early because the car is also for sale locally. The current mileage may change somewhat with occasional driving. This car is a solid 1969 Firebird with all original Sheetmetal, not reproduction or even NOS parts! No guessing if the previous repairs were done properly on this one. Excellent base for a full custom build or mild restoration. I have never seen another F-body with this clean of a floor pan!Engine is a Pontiac 350 with a 2bbl carb. Tarnsmission is a Muncie M-21 4 speed with a Hurst shifter that is not original to the car. Original tramission was a 3 speed Borg Warner which will be included in the sale. Console car and Factory AC as well. No idea on the condition of the AC parts, but the AC Compressor does spin over. Engine is free and spins over. Ran when parked 20 years ago.The car was painted in the early 1990s with Dupont enamel and has been sitting since. 10 years outside on pavement and 10 years indoors. There is overspray on the car and the paint is in poor condition so it will need a repaint. Weatherstripping and rubber bits are showing their age and need to be replaced. Many spare and extra parts included. The car has a Salvage title as it was purchased from an impound yard after being abandoned, that is the only reason. It is straight underneath, absolutely no evidence of any collision damage ever. Minor rust on the left rear quarter lower section, left front fender by the a-pillar, and the right inner fender under the battery tray. Photos detail the worst of the rust.

original arizona Firebird, purchased new in mesa,az in 1980 by my wife's uncle. Car was rear ended in 1990 and has been parked ever since. It was given to a neighbor who was going to repair it but it sat parked, untouched, for over 20 years. I got it last year and was going to restore it. I don't have the time or space for such a project. Original engine and transmission, all emissions equip, factory exhaust, a/c intact. I got the car running, cleaned out the fuel tank, changed the oil - cat converter was plugged, but once unbolted it runs and drives surprisingly well. Even the brakes are still working .transmission shifts fine, but I really only drove it around the block since taillights are out. Included with the car is a set of nice taillamps, including the gas door. Deck lid was replaced and rear bumper cover. Needs metal work on quarters but they are repairable. Tail panel will need a replacement but fortunately, a reproduction is now available for less than $400. The car is solid and rust free. The doors don't sag and close easily. Tops are factory (fisher- see build sheet). All glass including tops and windshield are good. This will be a nice car to restore or build a trans am clone. I will entertain offers but it's been sitting for almost a quarter century, I'm not giving it away over having to keep it a few months more. I have a 1979 formula as well and may make a package deal. It has no powertrain but the body is perfect. Another original Arizona car. I was going to cut it up to fix this one but now that repro parts for the 79_81s are available, you could build two nice cars.

The Formula 350 was the fastest available Pontiac in 1988 and was several hundred pounds less then a comparable GTA. When you chose the 5.7 liter 350 motor it meant that T-tops and a Manual transmission were not available and your only choice was an automatic transmission, and a solid roof. It also came standard with the WS6 suspension package, an oil cooler and 16 inch wheels. The exterior is Bright Red and complimented with a grey cloth interior. The best way to describe this car is a time capsule. It is about nice enough to roll back onto a showroom floor and can almost pass as new. The exterior appears to have all its original paint and is in exceptional condition. This car was clearly stored and covered in a climate controlled environment. The only item that has been replaced are the tires. It has a matched set of Michelin Pilot tires that look like late 1990's vintage but still are in great condition. The interior is equally impressive and still smells new. Absolutely everything works as it should including the power antenna, electric hatch release, headlight motors and even the air conditioning blows ice cold. The only item that seems to have been changed is the radio. It is a correct vintage Delco CD Player and was probably installed when new at the dealer but probably would have had a cassette player instead. The engine compartment and undercarriage of the car is a testament to the life this car has lived. It is not only spotless and original but there is not a speck of rust or corrosion anywhere. You will be hard pressed to find another one in this condition for any price!!! Mechanically it runs and drives just like it did off the showroom floor.
