1983 Toyota SR5 4X4 - sold as is, part out or fix up and reinstall smog equipment if considering for highway use within California. Lifted 3 inches, 10x15 Enki's w/33x12.50 x 15 inch tires, 22R / 5 spd, A/C, Tilt wheel, Pwr steering, Header, Weber carb, Smitty front and rear bumpers, Nerf bars, Side window defrosters, Camper shell, ect. Imported to the US, rare and hard to find here with the factory 3 B naturally aspirated (non-turbo) diesel engine.http://youtu.be/vlzgZMq6hLoRuns well with 291,232 km (180,963 miles). Mileage not guaranteed to be accurate as speedometer is intermittent at times. Painted recently, decent paint job but not showroom perfect. Has some dents as to be expected from a vehicle of this caliber. She will do 25MPG plus. What is good:- Engine runs great- Transmission shifts great- 4x4 works, locking hubs work, engages in both high and low (the gear guide on the 4x4 shifter is missing but does not affect operation) - all four passenger doors and locks- headlights and turn signals- windshield wipers- Heater (truck does not have AC installed) - Tires What is sort of OK:- Stereo (it is aftermarket and functions but speakers are all loose in doors and should be replaced) - Windows (All roll down with the manual crank but a couple including the drivers side need a little help with your hand on the glass to get it all the way up) - Rear lift gate (Glass opens up but gate wont go down easily, its stuck closed at the moment) - Windshield (Crack on the passenger side) - Rear U-joint (Still works but has play and should be adjusted before driving around the world) - Seats (Rear bench is good, front buckets are good but presently not installed - some later model Toyota seats with lumbar support are bolted in up front but all original seats come with the truck) - Rear windows are tinted but have some film tear spots, should be de-tinted or re-tinted if it bothers you- Bumpers are missing corner guards and rear bumper could use a re-chrome or replacement - Muffler rattles and could use replacing but its not terrible What isnt so great:- Headliner should be replaced. Torn and wrinkled in many locations - Carpet is dirty and doesnt have floor mats- Some rust in the rear left wheel well- Fuel gauge doesnt work- Parking / E-brake doesnt workAll in all the vehicle is solid shape but I encourage you to come by to see it if you are a serious buyer. 1983 Toyota 4x4 short bed pick-up. The Details. January 2014 - *Complete $5K - Fresh 22R Engine Head & Block. 800 Miles since. *Fresh $2K Rebuilt Transmission w/ 3,500 miles. SR5 package has been lifted by body and suspension. Goodyear MT 36” 12.50 x 16.5 Military D.O.T. tires (95% tread left) on Weld racing forged alloy wheels with the 5:88 ring and pinion swap front and rear. Flush mount topper with a carpet kit w/ storage. The rear cab window was removed in favor of an open design with a custom clear see through vinyl window with velcro opening to keep the cold out and still be able to pass items through. Interior is in good shape. No radio. Heater works well and never had AC. Smittybilt Front and rear receiver bumper/hitch combos. Rancho steering stabilizers in place. Dual shock tower and shocks front and rear. Custom heavy duty leaf springs front and rear. It has been fitted with a Weber D-Gas carb and a MSD Performance Ignition. Professionally installed and tuned. Great power and good mileage. Passes smog, inspection and vehicle safety check with no issues. The transmission was also freshly rebuilt 16 months ago. Transfer case works well with manual 4X4 engagement and wheel locks. The outside finish on the truck was repainted years ago and is showing its age. Repaint is up to you. It’s more of a faded red paint by my standards, and I don’t worry about it when we drive through the weeds etc. Truck is real clean limited rust in a couple small areas. A great utility truck that’s been in the family a long time. Easy and inexpensive to work on. *EXTRA Items included with price above.
