You are looking at a 1972 J-Model with a number matching 400 the engine has 39000 miles with aftermarket intake and carb with a new turbo 400 less then 500 miles on this rebuild , very nice head liner seat and dash ,the car does need paint and does have some rust around the rear window car does have good floor pans same for the trunk ,stock a.m. radio it does not work. alights work as they should, air shock on the rear end all in working order , A/C is all in place but does not blow cold , windshield does have a crack in it . you can drive this car home it runs that nice . Once car is paid in full we pay for the title to be sent to you . The only defects on an otherwise excellent riding, driving & looking car are some stitching on drivers side front seat between square patterns separating & A/C has not been charged in years however system is totally intact. In the eighties vehicle was stripped to bare steel & repainted with original anaconda gold, all urethane products were used. Fifteen inch Cragar pro comp wheels with 255/60/15 tires in front & 275/60/15 tires in rear were added. Vehicles original brakes are discs in front & drums in rear. The original 400 CID. block was replaced with a fresh 455 CID.engine with a slightly hotter than stock cam, heads were redone however not with hardened seats, led add is necessary & an HEI distributor replaced the original points distributor, headers were also added. There are almost 27,000 miles on this engine, 400 turbo trans & all other moving parts on chassis of vehicle. I have owned this vehicle since 1977, I am pretty sure I bought it from the original owner, the reason I am attempting to sell it is because I am relocating to the other side of the country & would like to lighten my load. With further regard to condition of vehicle, all panels are original, floors & frame excellent. Shipping of vehicle would be responsibility of buyer, title would need to be transferred to new owners name before shipping takes place, if a local sale takes place cash is king, if not moneys would need to be transferred to a bank account, after transaction clears vehicle would be released. 1972 Pontiac Grandville convertible. This was originally a California car. This car has 55,000 plus original miles. It sat in side for many years in a private collection. All original except on repaint. It appears the car or trim was removed for the re-spray. Paint is a 7 plus out of 10 and shines really nice. It appears to be enamel paint. Grandville's were produced from 1971-1975. The 1971/1972 shares the same iconic long nose that Pontiac is known for. Fewer models were made in 71 at about 1800 or so and about 2200 in 72. The color is call British racing green as some people call it but the factory name is Wilderness Green. with tan top and interior. This car is fully loaded with the 455 big block, 400 turbo, Power steering, power disc brakes, tilt, rally gauge package, power locks, power windows, A/C ( compressor comes on and is cool but not super cold) AM/FM radio. Dual remote mirrors, Car runs and drives great but will need a little TLC, Top will need to be replaced (its original) when its cool out windows roll slow up and down. Tracks should be cleaned and lubed. Carpet, door panels and seats are original. The seat is split where the driver sits. Last owner put tape on it, the top of the back seat is sun damaged a bit. Dash is clean with no cracks. This is a real lead sled plenty of get up and go. I really like this car but I am thinning out the heard do not drive it that much and it is time to let someone else enjoy this car. After 1972 the Grand ville lost its character. The nose was flattened and fender skirts were added. This car looks like a cross between a grand Prix and a Bonneville. Pontiac took the best of both cars and put them together. This is the top of the line for Pontiac. Please ask questions before bidding. I want to be fair and honest with this car so there are no unrealistic expectations or miss-understandings.
