Hi! I'm selling my dream car to free up some cash for a new business venture. It's a 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe in absolutely gorgeous condition. These are rare, and this one won't last long...so if you want it, don't hesitate! Here are some facts about the car that I think will help you in your decision: ABOUT CADILLAC CTS-V COUPE IN GENERAL: ---556 HP Supercharged 6.2 Liter V8 Engine ---Automatic transmission (with sport mode and paddle shifters! The paddle shifters are a lot of fun)---Less than 43,000 miles by only 2 owners (me and the first owner who was in Texas)---Black on black...no ugly yellow accents in the cabin like some V's have...everything is black.---Recaro seats ---Navigation, back-up camera, rear parking sensors ---Factory remote start (with 2 key fobs that are included)---19" Aluminum wheels---Front heated AND air conditioned seats ---Xenon adaptive headlights ---Smart keyless entry (if you're within 3 feet, the doors are automatically unlocked...and the car starts without the key...so basically you can leave your keys in your pocket! :)---BOSE premium sound system (Sirius-XM satellite radio and CD player)---Dual power seats with driver side memory---Sunroof---Leather seats---And a lot more. A few extra notes I love about the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe in general: Handling: the way this car handles is so nice. Very intuitive. It grips the pavement and holds on tight in corners. The steering wheel is comfortable and silky smooth, but tight enough to respond quickly to your every move and make you feel like you're "one" with the car. Fun: These cars are an absolute JOY to drive. While I drive like a grandpa most of the time, it still makes an otherwise boring daily commute fun. I've never gotten bored of it. My favorite thing: Usually, when you're car shopping, you have to choose between power/muscle and luxury/comfort...rarely can you have both. The Cadillac CTS-V Coupe really does a great job of giving you both."Head-turner Factor": This car is super unique in that it can play the role of both "nice daily driver" and a "head-turning supercar". It just depends who you ask and how aggressively you choose to drive in any given moment. :) I'd say 80% of people just think it's a "nice car". The other 20% understand who understand what it is will come up to you at a gas station and drool over it, give you a thumbs up and smile on the freeway, yell "LOVE that car!!" out their window at a stoplight, etc.Rarity: While the V Sedan will continue to be produced, I'm told that the V Coupe has been discontinued as of this year. Maybe the average Cadillac customer isn't looking for a car with 200mph on the speedometer? :) Because its been discontinued (while also being so highly rated!) this car is likely to become more and more rare and valuable as time goes on. A historic car collector recently advised me to onto this car and keep it as a collectible...he believes it will be worth several times its current value at some point in the future. Who knows!ABOUT THIS SPECIFIC CADILLAC CTS-V COUPE:Miles/Age: With less than 43,000 miles on the odometer, this car is still a toddler in car years. The body has very modern edges/lines, and the beautiful black paint still shines like a mirror, so people are often shocked when I tell them it's a 2011 model. Most say they would have guessed 2013 or 2014. As for the interior, it's in beautiful condition as well. I am also a non-smoker, and it wasn't smoked in by the first owner either. The only thing you'll smell in this car is leather.Weather Care: As far as I know, this car has never seen snow, ice, and salt. I can't speak for the car's first owner, but I do know that the first owner lived in Texas where I purchased the car, and it doesn't snow very often in Texas. When I bought it and had it shipped to Ohio, I only drove it for the summer on nice days. It was garaged all winter and I have always refused to drive it unless the roads are clear. I have another vehicle that is my daily/winter driver.Driving: I don't let anyone else drive this car except for the valet parking guys at restaurants. And sometimes I even pay the obligatory $20 to leave the car up front so that even they won't drive it. Also, you should know that while this car is insanely powerful, I have never raced it. I've never let it near a track, and no, I've never given in to the seemingly constant bait from the Cameros and Mustangs of the world who want to race me from a stoplight. Has it been tempting a few times? Of course. Online sources say the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe has been clocked at a top speed of 198 on the track with a 0-60 time of about 3.9 seconds. It would obviously be pretty fun to see the looks on those drivers' faces after their beloved cookie-cutter sports cars get smoked by a Cadillac. :Tires: I've only smoked the tires ONCE. . .and that was in a parking lot next door to the tire shop moments before having brand new tires put on the car. The tires I just had put on are brand new Michelin Pilot Sport tires. I've driven it less than 500 miles since the tires were replaced. Maintenance: I don't play around when it comes to maintenance. I've always taken this car in for oil changes as soon as the screen tells me it needs them. And I make sure they use Mobil 1 only. Which also reminds me...I've never used any fuel except premium (as required). Also, I usually detail this car personally almost every weekend just because it's fun and relaxing for me (wash, wax, vacuum, polish aluminum wheels, clean all interior glass, treat leather seats/dash/accents with high-end leather wipes).Modifications: I've never modified this car in any way EXCEPT for replacing the boring and unbelievably heavy stock exhaust. After probably 40 hours of obsessive research, I decided on a Corsa Sport Axle-Back system. I spent about $1,400 on this modification, and I was nervous about it at first. I'm a businessman and I was afraid it would be obnoxious. But let me tell you...it was worth every penny and as soon as a heard the new system for the first time, I knew I had no regrets. I'm not big on getting hugs from strangers, but I forgive you in advance because this car sounds heavenly. Even better in Rev the engine in parking garages and road tunnels. The sound will actually give you chills.More on the exhaust: even though it sounds ferocious at full throttle, it is surprisingly sophisticated at idle with nothing but a subtle rumble to remind everyone that this isn't your grandfather's Cadillac. And most importantly, there is pretty much ZERO drone...meaning the cabin is nearly silent at idle. Why this matters: you can take an important client to lunch without looking like an idiot. That's what I love about this car in general: it somehow manages to be both powerful and luxurious at the same time...and without being overly showy. One final note on the exhaust: As I mentioned, the stock exhaust was insanely heavy. I could barely lift it off the garage floor when they took it off. The new Corsa system was almost weightless in comparison (I lifted both out of curiosity). Swapping the exhaust dropped enough weight off the car to cause an instantly noticeable boost in power and agility. Anyway, enough about exhaust. A FEW THINGS I WOULD WANT TO KNOW IF I WERE YOU:The passenger-side door was scratched once by a political yard sign that flew out of a pickup truck while I was driving on the freeway. While one autoshop recommended I just "touch up the paint and it'll look fine", I ended up insisting on taking it to a body shop in my area recommended by Cadillac. I then paid over $900 to have the door taken off, professionally re-finished, and re-painted so that it would literally be like brand new. I even paid to have a brand new "V" logo put on the door rather than letting them attempt to re-adhere the existing one after the door was painted. Thanks to my OCD-level attention to detail, the door is beautiful and shines like nothing ever happened. There are some barely visible hairline scratches on the black plastic panels around the knobs on the dash. This is normal and unavoidable. It doesn't take much to put a hairline scratch on those black plastic panels. Like I said, they are barely visible...I couldn't even get them to show up in photos...but nevertheless, it's something that keeps the car from looking 100% brand new, so I wanted to mention it.A couple of the aluminum wheels have a little bit of curb rash on them. In other words, there are some scratches at certain places on the rims where the car has been parked a little too close to a curb from time to time. As you can probably tell by now, I'm meticulous about this car, but this curb rash hasn't bothered me yet enough to spend $200 to polish them up. They still shine like a mirror and most people don't even look close enough to see the scratches, so I've just kept my $200 in my pocket so far. You may want to do the same...up to you. BOTTOM LINE: I'm sad to see my baby go, but it makes me smile to know how much joy you're going to get out of it. Most toys lose their fun-factor once you've had them for a while. Not so with this Cadillac CTS-V Coupe. Even rush hour is fun in this thing (OK, that's an exaggeration...but you get the point). I'm pretty firm on my price as it's only been a year since I purchased this car for over $48,000 and I've cared for it like a child while not putting many miles on it at all.
