Menu Priced at $27950.00! The last, and arguable the best year of the "working man's supercar"! This Grand National is about as nice of one has we have had! Powered by the 3.8L Turbo Charged V6 putting out a whopping 245hp and 355lb ft of torgue made this car do a blistering 14.23 quarter mile! These numbers actually embarrassed the 1987 Corvette! Sadly it was the last year for her and in a time when muscle cars where far and few between, this is one sweet ride. This is 1987 Buick GNX. It is number 407. I purchased the car as a 40th birthday present for myself in March of this year. Yes, probably a mid-life crisis purchase. I have not had much time to use it putting only a few hundred miles on it. I am in the process of selling three of my "extra" vehicles to free up a bit of extra cash for a real estate partnership I lead. Now, about the car. I am the 4th owner. I have contact information for the previous two owners and have spoken to both numerous time. This is an original 23K mile car. It spent about 10 year sitting in a barn with the first owner. The second owner upon purchase, replaced the bumper fillers and had the car repainted. This was approximately 8 years ago. The car was also fitted with an ATR GNX correct stainless exhaust at that same time. The car was afterwards loaned to a regional museum in Florida where it spent a year. The third owner had it for three years and like myself only put a few hundred miles on it. These are the things I did or had done with the car in the last 8 months. Brand new B.F. Goodrich Comp T/A 2's - staggered and correct sizeReplaced Hood Struts - NOS Replaced washer pump - NOS OEMReplaced cruise control lever - NOS GM OEM (chrome was peeling from old one which is common)GNX custom Floor mats and horn emblemHad the Headliner and visors recovered with factory correct color fabric (very common for the glue on the original to deteriorate)Had the A/C system converted to 134A and charged.New Brake Accumulator - Factory Cardone style (but 30% larger) Authentication: The car is authenticated with the invoice identifying an order number of GNX407 for this VIN. Invoice from GM Archives comes with car.The cars ownership history is documented and has been confirmed with the GNX registry. It is a numbers matching vehicle (Vin not present on block which is known to happen, but confirmed for engine with sequence code on valve covers, transmission has VIN stamp). Turbo is a GNX correct turbo but was replaced under factory warranty in 1988 (per registry documentation). What the car needs or things important for you to know: Door and window seals need to be replaced - I bought new ones but they have not been installed, I am including them with the car for the new owner.Speakers sound poor, cones are probably perished as they are original speakers.Passenger side remote mirror control is a bit sticky. There is no Molly jacket with the car. When the car was repainted the doors were not removed, jambs were kept flat black and not repainted so as to not damage any of the door VIN/ASC stickers I suppose (I did not know that when I bought the car, but wanted to disclose for the next owner). Overall Condition: The car is absolutely accident free. It is mechanically excellent and cosmetically very nice, original interior is superb. Everything not noted works perfectly - even the power antenna! It cruises beautifully and shifts/runs like stink - just as a GNX should. This is not a museum quality in the wrapper car - those are about $90-100K. It is one that has been driven and has some very minor imperfections (stone chips, etc.). It is however perfect for weekend cruising and for those that don't want to just look at their car, but actually enjoy driving it! This is a super high quality driver. I think if you have looked around, you will agree it is priced aggressively for a quick sale. Only 23K original miles and an incredible value for a genuine well cared for GNX. While it might make a great investment, the thing to really consider is I have never been out for a ride and not gotten either a thumbs up or had someone snap a pic. The car is that cool. I believe most refer to it as badass when I speak with them. It honestly saddens me to let this car go. You just can't find nice examples at this sort of price point. I was so sure I would keep it forever, the vanity plates I purchased for it I pre-paid for 10 years! I just have too many toys and business interests and it's time to do some consolidation to retain my sanity. Terms of Sale: $1000 Deposit due within 24hrs of auction close. Full payment by wire or cashier's check due within 72hrs of auction close. If you are not comfortable with these terms, please do not purchase this vehicle. I have clear Texas title in hand, there are no liens. Vehicle is sold as is where is, it is the buyers responsibility to inspect the vehicle prior to purchase (not after the purchase) if any doubts about condition exist. Buyer is responsible for arranging shipping or picking up from Sugar Land, Texas 77479 at own expense. This Buick will also be listed for sale through other mediums, I reserve the right to end the listing at any time. Please contact me via Ebay if you are a serious buyer and have questions. I will be more than happy to call you back or provide my phone number, so we can discuss the car.
