1987 Buick Grand National Turbo T BUICK TURBO T RARE BLACK OUT WE4/W02

Up for sale is my 1987 Buick Turbo T WE4/W02 lightweight blackout package. This car looks like a Grand National, however, it is much harder to find. 87 Grand National production was 20194 cars while Turbo T production for this one year only model was just 1547 cars making it the rarest model Turbo Buick next to the GNX at 547 cars. The Turbo T was also a lighter car than the Grand National due to lighter aluminum bumper braces, lighter brake parts and lighter aluminum wheels. I swapped the T wheels for Grand National wheels. The W02 blackout package was only offered during the first few months of 87 production. The blackout package was soon dropped due to Grand National owners making an issue on how much the T looked like their cars. For the rest of the model year, all black Turbo T cars now came with the chrome bumpers and trim. Out of the 1547 Turbo Ts built, it is believed that less then 300 true blackout cars like this were built before production of the blackout cars was stopped. The car is in good condition and I keep it in the garage. It's loaded with options, power windows, locks, seats, trunk, antenna, air, tilt wheel, cruise, concert sound, posi rear, T Tops including the original storage bags. The T Tops do not leak. The owner before me stated that the car has a beefed up trans with a shift kit, a larger exhaust, a bigger turbo, larger down pipe along with some other mods. The mods were done before I bought the car so I can only go by what the owner before me said. The car looks good, it's not a mint show car. The interior is good except the bottom of the front seats need to be redone or at least a set of good seat covers. There are some rust areas in the lower part of the doors. The floors, trunk, quarters and fenders are solid as you can see in the photos. The car was undercoated when it was new. The drivetrain is strong. The brakes may need some attention as the pedal feels low from not being used. The rubber bumper fillers need to be replaced due to cracking from age so I removed what was left of them. I used to drive the car to car shows and to work several times a week but as time goes by, busy life gets in the way so I have used the car very little over the last few years. It's time to find the Buick a new home. I feel I covered everything here. My price is more than fair for an 87 Turbo Regal. You will not find another 87 Turbo Regal like this for less money anywhere! I have a absolutely gorgeous 1986 Buick Grand National with 9,977 original miles for sale. I was going to hold off till Spring to sell but I figured let's give it a go now. The interior is nearly flawless with all original seats, carpet and interior finishes. The headliner was just done as they all start to sag at some point. I have owned several Grand Nationals over the years and this one is one of the cleaner ones that I have owned. I personally like the 86 model year because they are almost the same as an 87 but lighter due to the aluminum brake drums and aluminum bumper supports. They also are more rare as production numbers are much lower for 1986. The paint looks all original to my eye and the exhaust is also all original. Selling my 1987 Buick Grand National NO RESERVE VERY,VERY NICE CONDITION Only 14,275 miles... Has never seen snow or rain and always kept in a garage since I have owned it.(12 years.. 5,200 K in 2003).... It's time to part with some of my favorite stuff! This car is immaculate inside and out. It is fast and fun to drive. Tuned and well maintained by Brian at Cotton's Performance (2 mi. from my house) Modest upgrades include T-49 Turbo, and latest MAF sensor and translator. The car has not been in any accidents.. In 2010 a repaint (with stone guard and body side-molding) applied. It really looks sharp. There is no rust and the under carriage is clean. The interior is in superb truly excellent condition and its a non smoker. Car has the following gauges : Temp, Oil, Knock , Boost and a "real" Tach!... Also Kirban's console arm rest. Power steering, power locks, power windows, power brakes (all in working order) Air Conditioning works but needs to be recharged yearly. The tires(Firestone) and wheels(original re-man.) were replaced last year. The radio is not original. It is a late model GM Delco single disc player that looks factory . The radio antenna needs to be manually raised and lowered and the rear speakers work now and then? I will include a car cover and a few small extra parts (hoses, bulbs, etc.) I have clear title. I present my 1987 Buick GNX #294, a 1 year American icon, having come from Putnam's Leasing Collection in Greenwich, CT. and retaining its original Certificate of Origin (CO), aka Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) and includes original dealer invoice, a copy of the original window sticker and related owner's manuals and ASC warranty documents. The GNX was a game changer, the Grand National to end all Grand Nationals, simply the quickest production car offered in this country.... then. As the 4th owner since 1998, this car went thru the 1st 3 owners w/o being titled and has been garage kept and well maintained. I've driven the car on a few day trips such as to Mount Hood, Oregon out of San Francisco, California. I've dialed down the boost so as to prevent breaking traction and for safety... it'll need to be dialed back if you wish. All electrical features are working, the horn, turn signals, power windows, hi-low headlight beam and all instrument gauges. All side, front and rear glass are the original w/ the logo stamp clearly evident as well as all emblems and stickers located on the engine, door and trunk. The glass is essentially w/o nicks, chips and pock marks. When I detailed the body of this car upon purchase in 1997 the bare metal of the body could hardly be felt as it more typified the sensation of touching a pillow or cloth or an early Persian rug. While that may no longer be true it is possible to restore that luster it had given you've enough time. The body does have dust/dirt marks/swirls, small nicks, light hairline scratches here and there... nothing to be ashamed of unless you expect brand new paint. Maybe 2 or 3 3/16" dimples or smaller in the body but I haven't located them. The bumper fillers have discolored a bit as you see in the pictures from its original black. The 4 wheels are original and w/o curb rash while the original Goodyear Eagle tires are older w/ plenty of tread but not recommended for road trips or freeway use. The interior seat and dash has no rips/stains/tears or other defect evident. The underside is as clean as the interior. The AC blows luke warm but unless you're in the San Francisco fog you would never need it. A bit of loose foam may come out of the vents... due to aging of the foam rubber. It was long ago when I last saw the original spare and jack, which I can double check. I have both sets of the original GM keys that works the ignition and to lock and unlock the doors, trunk and glovebox. 1 early service invoice from Putnam in 1987 had the original owner complaining of no boost... on a brand new car at that. Servicing was performed to clean out the turbo or other per the invoice. I've kept the sheepskin seat cover over the driver's seat since purchase. Neither driver nor passenger door panels have come loose as seen so often. I've tried to put in a new higher CCA battery but the strap won't fit over the battery to secure it, so I've put in a new stock battery. No hat/jacket but I do have the book if you want that. Neither my steering wheel lock or disklok are included as I use them. Needing Attention: - The dash brake light comes on/off at times indicating a brake failure. This was due to the poor powermaster unit design and is attributed to needing an accumulator ball replacement or other. - The radio antennae snapped early in life and I've never replaced it. The antennae motor works as does the radio buzzing. - The hood struts are losing its hydraulics. Excuse me if I added a few pictures from years earlier in the mix. Dear Sir or Miss, if you are looking for a bad ass ride you can drive with confidence and hear compliments everywhere you go than this is the Buick GN is for you. The car was rebuilt in 2004 by a GN fanatic who paid great attention to detail & used only OEM parts. The motor, transmission, rear end as well as all the working parts in this car were all replaced or rebuilt during the build. The cars drivetrain is numbers matching. Please read the specific work done in the last three photo's. I have added an updated MAF and MAF translator, dual Spall fans and optima red top batt, TTchip's for 93 octane, 110 octane/60lbs injectors Scanmaster 2.1 and more. during the rebuild all the most recent mods needed to make this car a track and driver vehicle were done. The car has not been beaten up and has always been in great hands. She needs only an owner that wants to be accused of what a fantastic rebuild you've done recently. This purchase comes with new front and rear seat covers not installed yet, as the interior is perfect except for a tear in the drivers seat. Also I have many perfect parts and the oem wheels that also come with the car.
