Many people are not familiar with the Salvage or Rebuilt title, below is a brief explanation of the "Salvage verses Rebuilt Title" terminology: Salvage title means that the insurance company decided not to fix the car and paid off the owner. By declaring a car "Total Loss”, the Insurance Company is taking themselves out of any liability issues in the future. Does that mean the car is totaled, not always. Sometimes the car has minor damage but the parts are very expensive. Sometimes the owner does not want to get the vehicle repaired and depending on the Insurance Company and the year of the car, Insurance will pay off the owner. If the car gets stolen then Insurance has thirty days to recover the vehicle, if the car is not recovered in thirty days, Insurance pays off the owner and once the car is recovered, it is brought to the auction as a Total Loss vehicle even if it did not have any damage on it. We have bought 'Total Loss" cars from Insurance companies with door dings, extremely minor fender bender, theft recovered vehicles with absolutely no damage. In brief Total Loss does not always mean that the car was in a bad wreck or had extensive damage. We do not buy or sell anything with major damage. Now for Rebuilt title, once the repairs are completed, car is inspected by state for all repairs and a Rebuilt Title is issued, which means that the new owner will not have to get any inspection done to get the car back on the road. It saves a lot of trouble for buyers as they don’t have to get the car inspected or fill out any extra paper work as is the case with Salvage title. With rebuilt title, buyer can simply walk into the DMV and get the car registered without any repair documents or inspection work. Attention: this car has Michigan salvage rebuilt title. This car passed Michigan salvage highway patrol inspection. There will be no issues with transferring the title or getting a license plate in any state in the US. You won't have to pass any inspections in your state, everything is done in Michigan! The title is ready to be transferred to customers name in any state in the US. The vehicle was involved in a drivers front collision. The drivers wheel air bag and passengers front seat belt are deployed from the accident. We replaced the drivers fender, hood, front bumper, radiator support, both head lights and the drivers suspension with parts that were purchased new and used. All of the cooling is intact and in good working order. The air intake box has a hole in it and the hoses that hook on to the air pump were damaged and will need to be replaced. The damaged air box is causing a check engine light. The Steering light, tire pressure light and traction control light are also illuminated because of the vehicle having the spare wheel on it. This GTI runs and lot drives in its current condition with no issues found in the engine, transmission, suspension, cooling and/or frame. There will be a 4-6 week delay on the title due to this vehicle having an Ohio salvage title with no re-assignments that had to be transferred to a Michigan salvage title for re-sale. I'm selling my 2003 VW Golf. I've owned it since 2007 and it was just time to upgrade. Any major issues with the car are cosmetic. There are many miles on it, I do a lot of traveling. It's GREAT on gas mileage even now. The stains on the seats will more than likely come out with a good shampoo. There is a white scratch down the driver side passenger door. My neighbor came home drunk and parked like a fool, hitting my car and denying it. I lost the rear passenger side hubcap sometime in the last 7 years and the end of the oil dipstick is cracked. The glovebox's spring for opening and closing popped out about 3 years ago and I just never got it fixed. But, it IS fixable. The light indicating the car "wants new breaks" is on and the winshield has a crack in it. Other than the cosmetic stuff, it runs. Starts everytime but is a little loud. I think there's a hole in the exhaust system somewhere...Anyhow, great car with minimal performance issues. Call or text Lane 616-298-9950. Asking $2900...make me an offer...
