You are looking at a nice 1-owner 2008 Volkswagen Beetle SE with 111,200 original miles. This vehicle is in fair condition given its age and is mechanically sound. Paint is all original throughout, still looks new and shiny. Only visible imperfections on the exterior are some very minor dents and scratches on the hood and passenger door, otherwise the exterior is very clean. Leather interior is in good shape, there is a bit of wear on the bolster side of the driver seat from getting in and out of the car, otherwise very clean. Door panels have been replaced with black suede material and look excellent (most used beetles have peeling door panels – very common problem). Mechanically, this Beetle is perfect. There are no warning lights on the dash and everything works as it should. AC is ice-cold, all window motors function properly, top goes up and down without issue. You are looking at a nice 2005 Volkswagen Beetle with only 55,100 original miles. This Beetle was involved in a previous accident in 2010 and does have a rebuilt title, which was taken into account when pricing this vehicle. Overall condition is fair, there are no major dents, scratches or dings. The bumpers have some minor scuffs and there is a small crack at the bottom of front bumper. Interior is in good shape, there are no tears or rips in the leather. Door panels are not worn out like many of these. Convertible top is in good condition, it was previously repaired in two places but functions perfectly and does not leak. Mechanically - this vehicle has no known problems. There are no warning lights on the dash, AC is ice-cold, all switches and window motors work perfectly. Tires and brakes were recently replaced and have plenty of life left. Transmission shifts very smoothly, it was just serviced and valve body replaced at a cost of $1,500 (have all records). PLEASE NOTE - these beetles have a manufacturer's defect in the transmission valve body, there was a class-action lawsuit against VW for this defect. If you google "2005 beetle transmission problems" - you will see numerous complaints. If there are no records of transmission valve body being replaced, it will most likely fail and you will be stuck with a $1,500+ bill. We have this beautiful 1970 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible for sale. Freshly finished in Baby Blue exterior, brand new Black top and Black interior, we replaced the floor pans and they are better than new now, NEW roof and NEW carpets. Odometer shows 14,435 miles but being a 5 digit odometer we don't know the actual miles and are pretty sure the odometer rolled over. You have to see this one to appreciate the work we have done to it. This is a real fun, economical and easy to maintain head turner.The car has kickers speakers in the back and AM/FM radio. Engine is a 1,584 CC in very good running condition. Transmission is a 4 speed manual in good working condition. This car was manufactured in April 1970. Wheels are 15" wheels as shown in picture. These convertible beetles have been going up in prices in the last couple of years, and they tend to continue on the rise, they set a trend in the 50's-80's. Reasonable offers are considered. VW issued one Champagne Edition convertible to each U.S. dealership in 1977 and 1978. Also known as a Special U.S. Sales Campaign Model S723. The gold pin stripes on the side are definitive of the Champagne Edition beetles. This one is a true barn find! California car since new. Previously owned by a lady who inherited the car from her father. She parked it in her backyard and put a tarp over it, and that’s exactly how it sat for over 20 years. Odometer reads 18,811 and this is absolutely believed to be true miles. There is surface rust only. It is a time machine! Body is solid, as is the undercarriage. Even the convertible top is in pretty decent condition! This car is a classic restoration project, and would be worth well over $20,000 in restored condition. I put new tires on it (the previous tires were severely rotted), flushed the gas tank, and installed all new fuel lines since having the car shipped here from Riverside, California. It runs like a top! This is a phenomenal find for the true beetle lover and/or collector who is looking for a very collectible beetle to fix up and enjoy, and it will only increase in value as time goes on.
