This is a very unique 1979 Volkswagen Classic convertible with only 24,500 original miles. The vehicle has always resided in Florida, has always been garaged, and I am the third owner. No snow, no salt, no cinders, no ice ! It carries a beautiful color combination of white exterior, tan canvas top, and tan interior. The vehicle was repainted in original color five years ago. Annual usage has been approximately 500 miles per year since my purchase in 1999. This extraordinary vehicle has been a very successful show car, earning three consecutive best in class awards at the Florida Bug Jam, one of the east coast's largest VW shows. LOVE this car!!! Purchased in 1998 from a friend who moved to the Midwest and wanted to leave it in the south. I have since replaced many parts, plus repainted, put in floor pans, removable face plate CD/radio w/speakers. I drove it as my primary car before moving into corporate America and having a family in 1999, when it had to become a collectible toy. Since purchasing, I've kept it garaged when it's not being driven. It's hard to think of parting with it, but it's not fair to the car not to drive it as much as I want to. Odometer was not working when I bought it and I have since replaced the engine. Constant compliments when I'm tooling around town. :-)
