This incredible 1964 Triumph TR-4 was bought new at University Triumph WA in June of 1964. It was adored and lovingly cared for more than 50 years by William Weiss until he sadly died in late 2014 During that half a century of loving ownership William put only 68,000 original miles on the car. Other than driving to and from shipping trucks ALL of the original 68,000 miles have been put on this car by William. As you would expect …. This TR4 was Garage kept and meticulously maintained. William's wife struggled with what to do with the car and decided to put it up for sale. She realized that William would have wanted it to be lovingly owned by a new a family who would take care of it and appreciate it. She sold the car to a local dealer (Brad Hallock) who recognized how special this car truly was in February 2015. Blacksmith Garage purchased the car from him in September 2015 to adorn our showroom since then. It is now time to find it a good home and tell its great story in accordance with William's wishes. The car comes with amazing documentation and maintenance records since new as well as a letter from the previous owner's wife certifying the cars original miles. Though obviously loved this TR-4 was definitely driven by William. The car was driven on family trips and to work on good days. William's wife confirmed that the car was never raced although during the first 6 years of its life, William did attend various SCCA races as a spectator where he displayed the car. He proudly made record of this on a metal display in the trunk. The car came from the factory in the very rare Black over Black leather interior combination. Please see the attached Triumph Heritage certificate. William did give the car a high quality repaint some point in its life. Otherwise this car is COMPLETELY original and looks amazing. The body is very straight and shows no signs of damage. Doors, hood, fenders and trunk fit wonderfully. The glass is original and the chrome and bright work is in amazing shape for their age. The interior is a real time capsule. The leather seats show no rips or tears and look great. The wood dash is original and in excellent conditi Vehicle Photos: About Blacksmith Garage: Blacksmith Garage started as a place where car guys engaged in passionate dialogue about their cars. I have a VIN Correct 1965 Triumph Spitfire, it has been a race car since the early 70's and was last raced in 1976, since then it's undergone a total restoration. This is perfect for someone getting started in racing.I have had it for around 4 years. It has primarily been raced on the west coast. It does need someone to put it together which never scared me since most racers should build their own cars in my opinion. I want the car to go to a good home with an option for first buyback if they ever sell it.Have SCCA logbooks from all race history and parts purchased during that period. I recently acquired a TVR and made a deal with my wife to sell the Spitfire. So unfortunately I have to let it go, but all is not lost since I have my TVR.This car is basically ready to just be put together. I've gone through and put grade 8 bolts through all the suspension front/rear. My brother built a custom aluminum panel to go on the firewall for strength. I never got around to finishing the car since I had too many other projects going on. It has been in covered storage and my fathers garage since I've owned it.The roll-cage has been built from the ground up by the prior owner who did a beautiful job. It may not meet certain requirements for specific racing leagues, but for SCCA Autocross it should be 100% legit which was my original intention.Have a fresh 1147 CC engine balanced and ready to be put together with all new parts, the prior owner was a mechanical engineer who has built parts for Carroll shelby, when I asked him if i needed to measure anything or if i could just toss it together, and he said everything is matched and numbered, just needs to be bolted together.Balanced PistonsBalanced Connecting RodsNew PlugsNew Gasket KitRebuilt HeadBlock and Head have been coated for better oil flowKastner A8 KamRebuilt CarbsNew Valves / SpringsNew Oil PumpNew PushrodsHave aluminum and steel pushrods (boxes full)New Solid LiftersRepainted Valve CoverAdditional 1296CC engine (needs rebuild but complete and never taken apart)SCCA Log Book and Inspection book from the 70'sPerformance coated headers Aluminum Racing SeatRebuilt standard aluminum transmission 2 Additional transmissions Vintage Correct Magnesium Racing Wheels Kastner A6, A7, A8 cams As well as 8+ additional cams aside from the kastner ones2 additional sets of connecting rodsOil Sump system Fire System Rebuilt Girling Calipers by centric and new rotors Calipers have been modified to allow clearance for Vented Rotors with custom spacersThe spacers can be removed to allow for stock rotors to be fitted againRebuilt front suspension Aldan Eagle ShocksNewer paint (audi blue) Additional Stock Rotors and Calipers (originals need to be rebuilt)Additional Front-end suspension set (originals need to be rebuilt)New U-joints for the driveline and axle shaftsNew aluminum Radiator shroudNew Clutch/Brake master cylindersNew Steel brake lines throughoutRebuilt Rear Differential (already installed)Additional Rear DifferentialCustom built rollcageBags full ofValves, springs, misc engine/body parts6+ crates of extra partsI have not itemized all of the additional parts in the crates, most of it are extras collected over the years. What i listed are the best parts in the bunch that were intended to go back on the car. I even have bags full of Triumph Lettering, license plates and more. If there are specific questions please don't hesitate to ask. I do not have pictures of all the parts since most are in boxes stored away. But I can always get pictures of them and send additional pictures of anything requested.

How often will you see a Mayflower here in the states! Not enough that's for sure! A good friend of mind bought this amazing car from the Rolls Royce Dealership in Washington several years back with intentions of a nut and bolt restoration. Great intentions didn't get the project done. Instead, he was able to drive it to some shows and enjoy his years with it. In the last several years, attention has turned elsewhere and it now needs a few things to be done before it is road worthy. One of the rear tires leaks slowly, the breaks could use to be bled and clean the fuel system. This is a quick and dirty examination on what needs to be done mechanically. The body is showing its age and with black of course shows a bit more than it should. Rust is very minimal and I couldn't find any holes through the body. If you are able, come on by and take a closer look. He never did secure a title but typically with vehicles of this age, it's not difficult. This will be sold on a Bill of Sale Check your local DMV for the process. I have bought and sold hundreds of bikes and cars on ebay and worked at corporate for several years. I sell my own vehicles and help close friends list their vehicles who aren't as tech savvy. I've noticed through my purchases online that things always look better in the digital world than in real life. Keep that in mind when making a purchase. I need a $500.00 non refundable deposit through PayPal. Remaining balance to be paid via check, wire, or cash on pickup. Full PayPal payments by approval only. I'm more than happy to help with shipping anywhere. I've recently shipped a Alfa Romeo to Sweeden. The lower 48 are a piece of cake compared to that. I really like Uship but have several brokers that I use. Feel free to call or text me anytime for more details if needed. Jason 801-200-6166
