I am the 4th owner of this rust free california survivor. The car was purchased new in 1983 then sold in 1995 and remained in the San Diego / Escondido area until 2004 where it changed ownership but still resided in the same area.I purchased it from Temecula Valley Toyota where alledgedly they used it in their showroom as a "survivor".The timing chain was replaced at 141750 miles by the previous owner. I overhauled the air conditioning system and coverted it to R134. It is now working great and diffusing freezing cold air. I also replaced the resistor and climate control switch with OEM replacement parts. I had to replace the catalytic converter, wiring cables and overhaul the carburettor to pass the California Smog test. It is now registered in my name with a clean title and current tags. Compression was checked and found to be good, Cylinder #1 at 160psi, #2 at 155psi, #3 at 160psi and #4 at 160psi.The car drives like new with eveything is working even the period radio cassete player.The interior is immaculate with no cracks in the dashboard. However there is a small tear in the driver seat and the headliner needs to be addressed at some point. The front windshiels has a 1/8 wide crack which is barely visible. Also small dents and scatches are shown in the pictures.Truly original car with original paint and original double coach line, the tires are in good condition. A complete tune up with oil change and filter has been performed last month. Great on gas and could haul a whole lot from your neighborhood home improvement store. A great car that has been loved and cherished throughout its life. Car comes with all service receipts and recent smog check.Good Luck!

Extremely clean rust free 1985 Toyota Tercel SR5 4wd wagon, manual 6 speed transmission, extra low gear in four wheel drive, runs, drives, shifts, stops as it should. I am the third owner, car was bought new in California, original owner till 2009, came to Minnesota, was garage kept. I have a large folder full of maintinece records from 1985 to present. Interior is very clean, missing origanl driver floor mat, all others are present and nice, driver seat belt buckle is damaged but functions. The diamond pattern seats are near perfect condition as well as the rest of interior. the factory radio has been replaced with aftermarket cd player. The paint shines very nice, few dings here and there as to be expected with a 30 year old car. Very small rust issue on driver door seam, shown in picture, no hole, just seam seal. I have been driving daily and get 25 to 28 mpg

1987 Toyota Tercel DX "Hatchback/ A/C / Low Miles 69k / Summary I purchased this vehicle from my co-workers mother about 2 years ago. She was the original owner she bought it back in 1987. The vehicle was yearly inspected because it was registered in Virginia. I loved driving this vehicle because the gas mileage is very nice. However it is a 3-rd vehicle so it needs to go. Overall The vehicle has the updated carburetor; turns right over, you have to just give light gas to turn over. Tires are slightly dry-rotted, small rust spot which can easily be repaired, the headliner is coming down, A/C blows cool (needs recharge), clear coat is coming off the hood, and one side is missing a rubber molding piece on the body. The auto-shifter feels a little loose but shifts into gear with out a problem. The vehicle was regularly serviced. For the vehicle being 28-years old it is in good shape, and has great miles. Was running fine until last week. Can be driven for about 3 miles before overheating. Local shop said it has blown head gasket. Has new radiator, front tires are excellent, back tires are worn evenly but will need replacing, spare tire is on original, unused full sized wheel and has brand new Bridgestone M/S tire on it. This is a 5 speed manual transmission with 4 wheel drive. Transmission, clutch, and 4 wheel drive work fine. The air conditioning does not work. Body has a few surface rust spots but there is no rust through and no dents of any size. Interior is clean. Driver seat has a couple of small holes but is not torn. Right front CV joint clicks when turned to right at low speed so this will be something to replace but does not click when driving. Radiator drain spigot has a slow drip and I bought a replacement spigot but did not install yet. Clear Oregon title and currently licensed until February, 2016. Located in Gold Beach, Oregon (southern coast). Payment by Paypal within 48 hours of purchase. You may leave it on my property for up to 30 days with no charge.
