Too much to write about this vehicle! Send serious inquiries to me and I will respond quickly with answers to any of your questions! Vehicle is pet free and smoke free. I have owned it for 6 years with one prior owner, It had about 27,000 miles when I bought it. I paid about $10,000 for it and spent about $15,000 on maintaining and upgrading it. I am very clean and particular about my vehicles. Some upgrades include; Full engine swap with all the modifications and parts including exhaust and air intake (about $7000), new soft top, new windshield, new headlights and fog lights, tinted windows, light weight aluminum racing wheels ($1000), new clutch, after market alarm, speakers, head unit, amp, and sub (about $1500). I have all the paperwork on all the regular maintenance such as oil changes, tires, and breaks....all done by Toyota dealership and another certified Toyota mechanic. NOTE: this is an older photo but car looks the same just with smoked out side markers. Will take more photos when it stops raining! Car also comes with a few extras such as the stock rims. I will deliver the vehicle within a certain mile range of North Carolina at the buyers expense.

Low-mileage, very good condition 2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder for sale - $11,500 or best offer! The MR2 has been kept in a garage and covered since I bought it. Only drive it on good weather weekends. The price includes both original owner’s service manual and the dealer/factory service & maintenance shop manuals, volumes I & II and wiring diagram manual worth $250. I enjoyed several weekend trips, especially with the top down. You'll find that the MR2 Spyder has the mid-engine balance of a Porsche Boxter, more headroom than the Miata and the looks of a Lotus Elise. It's easy to drive, but gives you a true sports car experience. It turns people’s head when drive by! The 6-speed sequential manual transmission lets you quickly move out or slow down with your fingers or with the stick; no clutch pedals! Note: Custom additions are: Sports’ car Style Wave Chrome Bar over the seats (worth $590-custom fabricated specially made for this MR2) and a custom European made luggage carrier that you can remove and reinstall in minutes (worth $800-custom designed for MR2 Spyder). Please contact me if you have any questions. You will definitely enjoy driving this MR2! Below is the text from Toyota and two reviews for the car. TOYOTA MR2 SPYDER BROCHURE TEXT You had some great times playing on asphalt as a kid—but nothing compared to the fun you're about to have. The Toyota MR2 Spyder has a powerful all-aluminum 1.8-liter 16-valve VVT-I engine, mounted midship for balance and handling usually reserved for the racetrack. The similarity between the MR2 Spyder and race cars doesn't stop there: there's also an available 6-speed sequential manual transmission. And an ultra-rigid yet supremely lightweight chassis, which helps give the MR2 Spyder its remarkable power-to-weight ratio. Think about it. Now that you're an adult, there's endless asphalt to enjoy. Which may explain why you couldn't wait to grow up. The moment you get behind the wheel of the MR2 Spyder you start to feel different. The available 6-speed sequential manual transmission is one reason you're feeling so energized. This race-derived feature eliminates the need for a clutch pedal. And then there's the MR2 Spyder's perfectly balanced mid-engine layout—no back seat, no back-seat drivers. And the drilled aluminum sport pedals. The available leather-trimmed seats. The black-on-white gauges…there are other ways to elevate your heart rate. But none that are so exhilarating. After a five-year hiatus, the new MR2 Spyder marked the return of the mid-engine sports car to Toyota's line-up. VVTI DOHC ENGINE The Toyota vehicle has been fitted with a 1.8-litre double overhead cam (DOHC) 16-valve four-cylinder engine with a VVT-I (Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence) system. This produces 138bhp at 6,400rpm. It also sustains a torque of 125ft-lbs at 4,400rpm. The VVT-I system is used to improve fuel economy and engine performance as well as reduce exhaust emissions. This system controls the intake camshaft valve timing so as to obtain a balance between engine output, fuel consumption and emission control performance. By varying the cam timing, and thus the valve overlap, the engine can run more cleanly at low revs, boost its torque in the middle and still manage powerful high-rev performance. The engine is positioned near the centre of the chassis. This has the effect of of lowering the centre of gravity, thus improving the handling of the vehicle when cornering at high speed. The vehicle uses a mid-engine drivetrain with rear-wheel drive and five-speed manual transmission. POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO The new development focused on designing a pure sports car. This first meant that the car had to be light and so a curb weight of 2,195lbs was achieved. From this point, the company was able to focus on power to weight ratio, which would determine the speed and performance of the vehicle. The lighter the car, the better the power to weight ratio will be for a given engine. As car engines are an expensive part of the overall package, lightness has significant benefits. MR2 SUSPENSION Handling is further improved with the car's specifically designed suspension system. This includes a front independent MacPherson strut and rear independent dual-link MacPherson strut, with damper struts, lower control arms, coil springs and anti-roll bars. Steering is aided using a rack-and-pinion with electro-hydraulic power-assist, which enables a turning circle of 17.4 feet. ABS BRAKES The vehicle is light but also capable of reaching high speeds. The emphasis was therefore on developing an effective braking system, and the vehicle was fitted with power-assisted ventilated disc brakes with anti-lock brake system (ABS). For maximum grip, the vehicle was fitted with P185/55R15 at the front and P205/50R15 at the back. Brake testing showed that the vehicle could achieve 70–0 mph in 3.26s and a distance of 166.7ft. Fuel consumption in urban areas averages 25mpg, while on the motorway the average consumption rises over 30mpg. SAFETY FEATURES Customers have demanded a higher standard of safety from all vehicle manufacturers in recent years. The Toyota Spyder is no exception to this. Standard features on the Spyder include: front and rear energy-absorbing crumple zones; side-impact door beams; 5mph front and rear bumpers; daytime running lights (DRL); hood hold-down hooks; standard anti-lock brake system (ABS) and a driver and front passenger air bag. Also included is a supplementary restraint system (SRS) with passenger-side cut-off switch, three-point seatbelts with emergency locking retractor (ELR) on driver's belt, automatic/emergency locking retractors (ALR/ELR) on passenger's belt and seatbelt pretensioners with force limiters. Curb weight (manual/sequential manual) (lb.) 2195/2215 Passenger volume (cu. ft.) 48.0 Cargo volume (cu. ft.) 1.5 (rear) Fuel tank (gal.) 12.7 Exterior Dimensions (in.) Overall height 48.8 Overall width 66.7 Overall length 153.0 Wheelbase 96.5 Track (front/rear) 58.1/57.5 Ground clearance 4.9 Coefficient of drag (Cd) 0.35 Interior Dimensions (in.) Head room 37.3 Shoulder room 51.0 Hip room 49.8 Leg room 42.2 Seating capacity 2 This 2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder gets so much attention and thumbs up out on the road! You will not see a Spyder like this at this condition. As with all 2003 or older and customs vehicles, there are very few unnoticeable dings & scratches and are no warranties and or guarantees given or implied regarding this sale. Interested buyer(s), please e-mail me with your phone number. Thank you for looking!
