I hate this, but I have to sell it. Myself and many experts took their time, bought OEM, TRD, or high quality parts. I have everything TR made except the short throw shifter. I have over $14k invested in this. I built it for autocross, but I don't race. I just wanted a dynamite looking car that few people have. I have 98% of the receipts. Here is a build sheet. Everything was bought new. I have no problems out of this car. It's a tank. You'll get at least two thumbs up from other driver per week. Engine has a double plenum and rides on rails around turns. I have 95% of the receipts for all parts. I love this car and I'm in no hurry to sell it. I built this car with no expense spared. This thing is a real head turner. We are the nation's leading seller of MR2 parts. It isn't often that we offer vehicles for sale (check our ebay history). Occasionally we discover an MR2 that would benefit from a new life instead of being taken apart to save others. We probably spent too much time and money ($1500+ just for paint) on this car, but it was rust-free, unmolested, and only needed minor body work and a replacement engine because its 5SFE needed cylinder head work. It runs well and drives as it should. Aside from the engine and front bumper (oem bumper was damaged by curb), this car has never been modified or toyed with like a lot of others. It *really* could benefit (at least visually) from a set of lowering springs, as these cars had a rather tall ride height even with the factory 14" wheels. The 17" wheels fit the wheel arch better, but exaggerate the ride height. Passenger seat bottom has stitching defect. Passenger door panel has 2 small rips. Engine lid from turbo model does not have steel underside to divert rain water. Hasn't been a problem for us, but we try to disclose all known defects.

The vehicle uses a mid-engine drivetrain with rear-wheel drive and five-speed manual transmission. POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO The new development focused on designing a pure sports car. This first meant that the car had to be light and so a curb weight of 2,195lbs was achieved. From this point, the company was able to focus on power to weight ratio, which would determine the speed and performance of the vehicle. The lighter the car, the better the power to weight ratio will be for a given engine. As car engines are an expensive part of the overall package, lightness has significant benefits. MR2 SUSPENSION Handling is further improved with the car's specifically designed suspension system. This includes a front independent MacPherson strut and rear independent dual-link MacPherson strut, with damper struts, lower control arms, coil springs and anti-roll bars. Steering is aided using a rack-and-pinion with electro-hydraulic power-assist, which enables a turning circle of 17.4 feet. ABS BRAKES The vehicle is light but also capable of reaching high speeds. The emphasis was therefore on developing an effective braking system, and the vehicle was fitted with power-assisted ventilated disc brakes with anti-lock brake system (ABS). For maximum grip, the vehicle was fitted with P185/55R15 at the front and P205/50R15 at the back. Brake testing showed that the vehicle could achieve 70–0 mph in 3.26s and a distance of 166.7ft. Fuel consumption in urban areas averages 25mpg, while on the motorway the average consumption rises over 30mpg. SAFETY FEATURES Customers have demanded a higher standard of safety from all vehicle manufacturers in recent years. The Toyota Spyder is no exception to this. We sell parts from lesser cars but when we get our hands on cars that are in great shape we go through them completely and upgrade where we think it is needed have professional paint done right and pass them on to others to enjoy. This was just such a car that came with a JDM engine with 50 to 60 K miles and the guy we bought it from had another project he was wanting to finish. We could not part this car. It was well taken car of without rust and no signs of any major accidents. The car is truly a great example that is lowered a bit and has the adjustable shocks for your ride preference. I just don't see how one could be disappointed with this car in this condition.
