1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 Details: Up for sale is a Used 1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. This vehicle is running and driving, BUT WILL NEED TO BE TRANSPORTED. The engine in this vehicle has been converted to a Chevrolet V-8 engine and transmission is a 350 Automatic with a 241 transfer case. The rear axle has been changed to a center type to fit the Chevy drivetrain. Axle ratios and condition of the front axle are unknown since it is not hooked up. It does run and drive in 2wd mode, but will need major work on the transfer case mounting ,or a transfer case swap to allow a front driveshaft to be installed. This rig has fender well headers with dual exhaust, power brakes, KC style lights, roll bar, rear jump seats, ratcheting automatic shifter, HEAVY DUTY tube-type front and rear bumpers and a CLEAN New Mexico title.The top is a removable hard top from an earlier model, but does not have any rear hatch or glass, and fiberglass top is warped. It is sitting on the body, but is not correct or the year. Back seats are included but are not fasted to the vehicle. Good floor boards , sheet metal, and a good frame.Head Lights, Tail Lights, Brake Lights, Turn Signals, are in proper working order. The Gas gauge and Amperage gauge also work. 1969 Toyota FJ40 4x4 Land Cruiser project with a Chevrolet V-8, 350 automatic transmission, and 241 transfer case. Engine runs well ,runs and drives ok, but will need to have the transmission crossmember changed/adjusted/fixed to allow for a front driveshaft to be installed(see photos). The transmission shifts good, but there is no transfer case shifter installed. Body is in fair shape, doors open and close , passenger door glass is missing.It has fender well headers,dual exhaust,heavy duty front and rear bumpers,fog/driving lights, roll bar,power brakes, and electric drivers seat. We do have the original front bench seat frames(no drivers tool/storage box), removeable hardtop included(rough shape with no glass or hatch). The title is a clean New Mexico title.
