Take one low-key 1966 Studebaker Commander 2-door sedan, add 383 cubic inches of blown Chevy stroker motor, a 5-speed, and a suspension to hook it up, then dress it up in show-quality paint. If you want attention, this nasty Stude delivers in a big way. The color is Pewter Gray from the GMC truck color pallet but it sure works well on the angular Studebaker. Small cars were pretty popular in the '60s, and the Commander looks awesome now that's been given a steroid injection. There are still signs of Raymond Loewy's vision in the dramatically sculpted fenders and the modern paint seems to make them even more prominent as the light plays across the surface. Someone spent a ton of cash on the bodywork, getting everything very straight and giving the paint a fantastic shine, and as a former economy car, the gaps are probably better than new. The front bumper was molded into the body and the simple, clean front end will have onlookers puzzling over its identity at shows. The big engine hanging out of the hood isn't much for keeping a low profile, but the car practically demands attention everywhere it goes, such is the quality of the work. Someone has thoughtfully added "1966 STUDEBAKER" decal on the windshield, which will surely cut down on questions at the shows and there's a cool Hurst badge on the tail that's a cool period addition. The interior is not as hardcore as the bodywork would have you believe, offering beautiful modern buckets with 5-point harnesses, plush carpets, and full interior trim. The wood-rimmed steering wheel warms things up a bit and a few flashes of red on the pedals and center console are a nice contrast to the otherwise monochromatic interior. The original instrument panel has been augmented with a big Auto Meter tach in the center and some auxiliary gauges under the dash, and the steering column is now a tilt unit that makes it easy to get comfortable. This cruiser also includes a neat under-dash A/C unit that blows nice and cold as well as a Sony AM/FM/CD stereo head unit that sounds great thanks to lots of sound-deadening materials inside the body. The trunk is still useful, although the mini tubs, fuel cell, and battery take up some of the space, but you can see how beautifully finished it all is. That big 383 is based on a 4-bolt main block stuffed with an Eagle rotating assembly with H-beam rods. Special blower pistons and a roller cam were selected to work with the BDS 8-71 supercharger and two Holley double-pumpers. RHS cylinder heads handle the force-fed mixture and an MSD ignition system lights it up. It's a tight fit in the Stude's little engine bay, but workmanship is outstanding, with custom side panels and a smooth firewall and lots of attention to detail. There's a big aluminum radiator up front that keeps it cool even with the A/C running and you're really going to dig how the headers snake out through the sheetmetal inner fenders. A Tremec TKO600 5-speed manual transmission sends all that supercharged horsepower back to a custom 9-inch Ford with 3.70 gears inside, so it's quick but easy-going on the highway. The chassis has been extensively modified and upgraded with rack-and-pinion steering, ladder bars, and 4-wheel disc brakes, plus a custom Flowmaster exhaust system that sounds wicked. Traditional Torque Thrust wheels are probably a low-key choice and they look awesome wrapped in big-n-little 205/75/15 radials up front and 29.5x12.5-15 Hoosier meats in back. Beautifully built, insanely fast, and rare enough to attract attention without being obnoxious, this cool Studebaker couldn't be duplicated for twice the asking price. We are happy to unveil this beautiful Hawk which is a fantastic original type of car that is both easy on the eyes and a blast to drive. The cockpit favors an aircraft. The fun to drive factor is enhanced by a great running 289 V8 and a smooth shifting 4-speed transmission. Luxury and performance were not readily available like this in the sixties. You either got full blown luxury or performance but usually not both in one package. The size of this car is modern and feels sporty out on the road. The body is laser straight with nice smooth white paint, excellent trim, glass, and chrome. The contrasting dark red bucket seat interior is fine. The seats are super comfortable and the gauges are clean and clear sitting in an excellent dash. I love the headliner in these cars with the chrome bows that stretch across the top. There is a plaque on the dash with the name of the doctor whom originally ordered the car and has been left intact. Cold factory AC will keep you comfortable this spring and summer. The motor, trunk compartment, and chassis show well. Void of a bunch of unnecessary modification this car has been kept quite original. It does have dual exhaust with custom tips. A gentleman from nearby Kerrville owned this car and took very good care of it. A pile of receipts come with the car. He participated in shows and had fun cruising the Hill Country. Now it is time for you to have fun in a very rare and unique sixties machine. Financing, insurance, and delivery are easier than you think on classic cars, so give us a try! streetdreamsonline auction as we go into our 17th year in the classic car business. Incredibly Rare DIESEL Studebaker! Considered to be 1 of 3 remaining! Factory Loaded Model "7E." 1 of only 150 ever built. Equipped with a Detroit Diesel T453 super charged. Complete frame off restoration!! A little research verified that this truck was once part of the late William "Bill" Kirby collection. Bill was a well-known and respected classic truck restorer and collector who the Antique Truck community lost in 2013. I have a great appreciation of the craftsmanship that Bill put into this remarkable classic road tractor. Now is the opportunity for a new owner to take the reigns as caretaker of this truck and put it to work or use it to draw crowds at car shows. Take a seat on the saddle leather bench and enjoy the ride of this unique vintage truck. This is an exceptional classic Studebaker truck that can be purchased for only $21,800!

Up for auction is an original 64 Studebaker Champ pickup. I have previously considered this truck "restored" but my friend and automotive owner and enthusiast who came out last week to examine it thoroughly has informed me it is actually an original truck that has been re-painted and its interior replaced or updated. Whichever you prefer, the truck starts and runs nicely. It drives down the road straight. Goes through all gears and has an overdrive "lever" that can be engaged. I have driven it in the overdrive position with no problems. Headlights work; Wipers function as they should. It doesn't overheat or smoke. The horn honks. I haven't found anything on it that doesn't work. There is vinyl over the top of what appears to be the radio location, but there is not a radio installed in the truck. However, it somes with two factory radios that are located in a seperate box of goodies which I will include in the sale. I haven't taken it on any major road trips but it has taken a good few 20 to 30 mile joy rides and it always gets me back home. Because I tend to want to baby a truck like this, I haven't hard-stomped the gas pedal or done any kind of hot-rodding with it. It seems to be right at home rolling down my farm road at about 50 to 55 miles per hour. It has all four factory hubcaps with the correct Studebaker logos but I can't say for certain they are correct to this truck. They look like exactly what it would have had on it rolling out of the dealership in 64. It also has a set of Uniroyal radials that by my estimation roll smoothely with no flat spots and feature probably 75-80% treadlife remaining. From what I've read, the Studebaker company went bankrupt in 1965 and ceased production but before they left the American Automobile landscape, they made a final and high quality entry into the pickup truck market. Internet research sites that I have visited due to my fascination with this little truck have lead me to believe that it was, in spite of its relatively high quality build, something of a scrabbled together effort on the part of the Studebaker company. I will assume Studebaker aficionados would agree with the following; the cab was the popular Studebaker car (the Lark) basically cut in half behind the front doors and fitted to a truck frame that was a throwback to the 1940's era models. The bed of the truck was a 1950's design that must have been updated to line up with the Lark front end as the body features some styling lines that are in fact alligned perfectly. Studebaker became a part of America's past history in 1965. The 1964 pickup was therefore the last one made. As can be seen in the pictures, the bed is wider than the cab, I would suppose due to the previously mentioned efforts to build this truck with what parts were available. It is a very different and desireable feature to this truck that sets it apart. But I have been asked by people who stop to admire it why the bed doesn't "match" the rest of the truck. It's always fun to tell them it was made that way. Some of my research into these trucks indicates that they held a pretty high standard for workmanship, being compared to the likes of Mercedes. Since the front of the truck was from the Lark design, the truck rides much like a car, which was one of its selling points back in the day. The doors on this little truck are solid. They don't rattle or fail to latch like so many I've seen of other pickups of the same era. This truck was re-painted likely 15 to 20 years ago. The paint has a few blemishes and the truck has some minor rust but nothing is rotted through. I would rate the paint as "good" on a scale, but wouldn't call it "excellent". It has a nice shine to it when cleaned propperly. Surface rust is apparent in a small spot just over the grill; another over the passenger headlight and several spots at the base exterior of the tailgate. Speaking of that, this truck's tailgate does not appear to have ever been used. Its pretty much perfectly straight. Not warped or lopsided. The hinges work smoothely and the old style chain and hook fasteners are present and function with the hasps (?) that are mounted with bolts to the rear surface of the truck bed. Along with that, the bed likewise has no major dents or scrapes in it. It also doesn't appear to have ever carried anything that would damge it severely at all. There are some scratch marks on the inner bed rail at the top where a previous owner had a home-made bed cover (plywood) on it. Near the rear of the bed surface there are some tiny light rust spots that I think came as a result of a door in the home-made cover. There is one spot about the diameter of a soda can where it has lost it's paint due to what I think was probably spilled brake fluid, just inside the bed near the tailgate. The fender wells have good paint on them and just a few small dents but again are very straight for five decades old. Overall I would rate the bed interior VERY good for it's age. It appears to have been a white truck all of its life. There is some faded white paint on the inner rings of the hubcaps that tells me they were a correct match to the rest of the truck. There is some overspray apparent under the truck in places out of typical view. Truck has what appears to be the original bias-ply spare tire in place suspended under the rear in the factory installed spare tire mount. The interior is clean and in overall good shape. The carpet has some fading and some tears behind the seat that are very small, but I have to wonder if a truck like this would have had carpet when it was new? Weather stripping is good; windows are not cracked. Factory rear sliding window works exactly like it was intended and makes a nice breaze as this truck does not have A/C and I am pretty sure never did. ( I have read articles indicating that the sliding rear window was introduced by this truck, becoming popular the world over as a result on other makes and models.) The chrome on the truck is in very good shape except for a small dent in the body line strip on one of the front fenders. It is not dull but quite shiny on the grill, door handles, mirror and body side moulding. The hood latches into place correctly. The drip rail has some very small areas of surface rust but is not corroded or damaged. Windshield rubber is not cracked or dried out and it has a chrome strip over it's entirety that is clean, straight and shines nicely. The engine compartment is fairly clean and the motor itself is painted yellow. Could not guarantee that the engine paint is original, but it looks the part and isnt bad at all. If your looking for a cool, clean, straight running and driving piece of American pickup truck history, and you don't want to have the same thing all the other guys at the car hop are driving, this is the perfect truck. I've read that it was the first truly "mid-sized" pickup available in America, even though Studebaker never laid claim to this. Its not like most others on the road and it's not really odd either. It is stylish and different and well made.

A straight body with original paint . There are no dents. All glass is good, but with any 65 year old car there will be some rubber that will need to be replaced. At this time it does not leak. It has original interior upholstery and it is not ripped. With cleaning it would probably be fine. Lenses are made of glass and are all there and in better than good shape . This is a car of many potentials. As an original or as I saw it a perfect street rod. with a V8 with Hillborne Injectors. This could be such a sleeper. First come first served.

Restored 64 Studebaker Champ pickup. The restoration on this truck is probably 15+ years old, but its in great shape. There are a couple of spots of rust near the front of the hood and above the front window, but nothing too serious. Good radial tires; original hubcaps. Six cylinder engine runs fine. New battery installed last month. Truck is a 3-speed on the column, and has an overdrive lever for speeds over 45 mph on the highway. All works fine. Interior has been re-finished at some point; no tears in the seat or dash and the carpet is clean and in good shape. This little truck is a head turner; Not many of them around and this one drives down the road just fine. Has the original factory sliding rear window too. Doors are solid; hinges don't sag or squeak. Every thing is in working order. Added pic of box with spare parts: includes two factory radios and blank keys.

This truck has been fully restored from the ground up. The engine is a Ford 460cid V8 with an aluminum radiator, oil cooler, MSD ignition and a C6 Ford transmission. It has a Mustang II front end, power rack, disc brakes, 2" drop spindles and 2" drop coils. 10-bolt rear end with 3.70 gears. The rims are 15" smoothies and are mated to big white wall tires. Custom black paint with red bleed-through. The bed was shortened by 2'. Custom gauges, Lokar shifter, IDIDIT tilt column and black and red interior. This truck looks great and is very fast. The engine and transmission only have 480 miles on them. This truck sold through a barrett-jackson auction just this year for $28,600.00. 0 0 1 209 1195 Ebby Halliday, Preston Center 9 2 1402 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE The original factory yellow paint is showing no signs of repair and no significant dents. Minor rust in the body is confined to the area behind the bumper and above the exhaust. Other minor rust is found in a few spots in the trunk and floorboards. The now great running engine had been rebuilt in the past but never run until my ownership. New parts include, water pump, belts and hoses, fuel pump, plugs and wires. The original radiator was reconditioned, the fuel tank was cleaned, and the exhaust was repaired. All brake hydraulics were rebuilt and shoes were replaced where needed. Both the front and rear seats were professionally recovered, the power top system was made to work with a new pump, hoses and rams. Both the front and rear bumpers have been re-plated. The car starts quickly, runs, drives, stops, the steering is tight, three of the four windows roll up and down as intended and all of the doors-trunk and hood fit well. The one mechanical problem not addressed is the driveshaft that bangs the under side and appears to be to short. The headlights, taillights, brake lights and interior lights are working, there is no radio or antenna and there is no fabric at all on the top frame. This is an original, fine, straight and solid car that needs restoration. Clear Texas title in my name. I will sell either of the two cars for $6,000.00 or I will sell the pair for $11,000.00. After my last experience with an insane Studebaker fan, I have decided not to risk using the auction format. Pete @ 214-505-5005

We are celebrating our 15th year in the classic and collectible car business. We strongly feel that investing in a classic car or truck is still one of the safest and definately the most fun place to have your money stored. We are proud to unveil one of our awesome trucks. We have the best selection of trucks right now that we have ever had. Ever seen an innocent looking Studebaker pickup with amazing Supercharged V-8 power? Well this Stud has an attitude! This fully restored R2 pickup is absolutely beautiful! It is packed with a blown 259 c.i.d V-8 and a 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive. It has a sleek body with show quality Burnt Orange paint and stealth looks. It is a high quality restoration throughout including an immaculate steel bed. This truck is extremely unique with disc brakes, Positraction rear end, excellent body, interior, and chassis. Every time I walk past this truck I cannot believe how cool it is. It rides on a stock chassis, with steel wheels, wide white wall tires, complete new high performance aluminum exhaust, and nice/clean hardware. The exhaust sounds terrific. Sound more like a muscle car than a pickup for sure. The immaculate interior is beautiful. Look closely at the headliner. We have only had one or two Studebaker trucks in our 15 year history so I do not know if that is stock or custom with all those pleats. It looks great. A chrome shifter, column mounted tachometer, matching custom painted dash, bench seat, and full gauge pack is included. It is mostly stock without a bunch of modifications and the dash was left alone. If you have been looking at trucks and want to really get some jaws dropping at the next car show or cruise night, consider this R2. As I said it is very unique, ready to show, drive, and enjoy. It only has 6679 miles since the restoration so it still is quite fresh. Financing, insurance, and delivery are easily available. ColorOrangeInterior ColorTanTitleClearWelcome to streetdreamstexas online auction. Street Dreams can assist with all aspects of shipping: Overland is only 1.00 per loaded mile. Canada ranges from 2500-3500. Overseas ranges from 3500-5000 dollars but most countries end up about 4000 US dollars. Thank You for taking the time to preview our auction. Many more thanks to our bidders and buyers. Car is need of work, but also has had alot of work done to it. A diamond in the rough. Paint job and exterior are in good shape. Everything under the hood works well. However, car will not start to do problems with ignition cylinder. Interior will need alot of work, including repairing the headliner and fixing the upholstery. Everything on the car is original, and the paint job, while done a few years ago, is still in very good shape and is the original color.Due to the car not being able to run, due to problems with the ignition, the car will need to be towed. However, before the ignition problem, the car did run, and was driven around the neighborhood.I list below work I have done on the car, and work that needs to be done on the car. I am upfront about what work needs to be done, as I wish any potential buyer to understand that they will have to put additional money into this car.Work done:Carburetor rebuiltRear brakes replacedFuel tank and fuel lines cleaned outBelts replacedNew battery installedWork needs to be done:Interior upholsteryInterior headlinerIgnition cylinderPossibly front brakes (included with car) Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>
