******* LAST YEAR OF THIS CLASSIC ******* 1991 Porsche 944 S2 Convertible. This rare car with only 1824 imported to the U.S. is Alpine White with Midnight blue interior and blue cloth top. It's listed with 89,972 miles showing on the odometer.I have owned for the car for 14 months. I believe the paint has been resprayed a pearlescent white and shows some blemishes and minor dents. The dash is in great condition, no cracks or wear. The convertible top is in great working shape with some wear. Goes up and down without hesitation. This car came factory equipped with Full power seat-left, Automatic speed control, Sound package, Air conditioning, Anti-lock brake system. Condition overview:-Engine - Starts right up and idles steady, pulls strong, no smoke on start up or leaks (oil or water)....belts and pulleys completed by previous owner. I have all the original receipts. Clutch Slave, Clutch and Master Cylinders - no leaks and works without issues. No slipping Tires - Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 with 2K miles, 2/2016Wheels - All in good condition, 2 have minor curb rash, no corrosion or flaking of the lacquer. Brakes - very good, look to have very minimal wear on rotor or pads and brakes without pulling to either side. Corrosion - a Southern car (Arizona and Texas) with no rust. All seals function. Rear half shafts - Newly replaced with grease and rear Diff oil, 8/2016 Oil + Filters + Battery - All replaced, 8/2016 Cam belt and idler wheels replaced at 45K Clutch assembly replaced at 70K Two sets of spare keys and well kept owners manual. Hood cover in blue and in great shape. Wheel bearings - Rear passenger needs replacing. I have all the bearings for all corners but haven't replaced. Will come with purchase. Exterior - A ding at the drivers rear quarter under the light....easy repair if tackled. Everywhere else is in great shape. Interior - everything works except the airbag light is on due to seat removal and carpet wash. Can be reset by Porsche dealership. No damages and AC blows cold. No leaks, recently new belts etc., A/C conversion This particular Porsche is number 363 of only 450 imported into North America. The splendid balance, the power of the 3.0 engine, and the beefier transmission sent many of these to the racing circuits. A complete timing belt service was performed about 600 miles ago. Included were the water pump, balance shafts, oil pump seals, toothed and major belts, camshaft (distributor) case, air vent hose and more (detailed invoice included). This S2 is healthy and prepared for at least the next 40,000 miles. Mileage: Always garaged by third owner since 1996 at 65,968 miles, it now has about 143,700. The odometer had a common 944 failure (plastic odometer gear) at approx.139,000 / 2011. Since 2009, the car was driven very little (eye sight). Oil changes and tire wear will attest to very low mileage during the time span. Interior: The condition of the off-white interior leather and carpet is amazing. The white carpets have always been protected with gray Porsche carpet mats, left and right, front and rear so the original carpets are nearly new looking. The white luggage compartment, protected through the years by the “roller-shade” cover, is also fresh and new looking. The anti-theft Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo,4-speaker system has a Blaupunkt 4-channel amplifier/fader, 7-segment equalizer with CD player. Exterior appearance: Front end stone nicks were filled regularly. The car has been garaged, kept clean, polished and waxed, thus always the source of wide-eyed compliments. Two areas of the car have beautiful clear coat finishes, having been repaired by a Cincinnati Porsche restoration company. The right door and rocker were deeply scarred by a boulder scrape, and the rear lower airflow wing and several other rear trunk panels had to be replaced (12/2004 detailed invoice included). The restoration experts produced perfect repairs with quality parts and invisible blends. No alignment problems. Car runs true. Disclosure: All gauges function normally, although the low-fuel warning light stays on regardless of fuel level. The digital clock / timer operates although the lower part of the face is fogged. CD disks tend not to play; they are ejected for some reason within a minute or so. The airbags may not function correctly or at all. Picky-Picky In some steering wheel positions the turn signal lever must be held in position or re-set. After starting engine, the ignition key should be nudged a bit to the left to engage the A/C and accessories.
