1958 Porsche 356A 1600 Super Reutter Coupe. Straight original body. - Engine is Non-Matching, but Period Correct- Wheels are wider then the original specification- This car GLOWS and draws crowds wherever I take it. Look carefully at the photos, you can see how spectacular this car looks in different lighting conditions.- Silver 356A's do not come up for sale often, and when they do they command a premium due to their desirability. Previous Owner:- Ex. Peter Brittingham, 356 Restorer and Racer- Engine rebuilt 426 miles ago, runs great!!- Car was converted to 12V Under my Care:- Car is as it was purchased, with the exception of having all necessary repairs done to have the car pass NY State inspection recently- Car went through recent extensive maintenance, and preservation by Briarcliff Classics in Briarcliff Manor, NY- Car has been kept in a climate-controlled garage- In EXCELLENT mechanical condition (note: photos and video's were taken before servicing at Briarcliff Classics, photo #19 above, shows the new exhaust system in place) Loose Items included with this sale:- Car comes with KARDEX and COA- Car comes with Replica Harvey Rosenthal Tool Kit and Bag- Car comes with Replica Glycerin Bottle, Fuse, Glove Box Kit, Owners Manual Burgundy Cover - Car comes with Original Tire Jack- Car comes with Front and Rear Bumpers (see photo#20 above) VIN# and Markings:- Correct stamp "103370" in Trunk Area Floor (see photo attached)- Correct stamp "70" visible (1 - 3 digits are visible, depending on how hard assemblyman hit the part with the hammer!), on Trunk Lid Hinge (see photo attached)- Correct stamp "103 370" in Door Jamb (see photo attached)- Correct stamp "370" seen through Rear Engine Grill (see photo attached) There is no "fine print" with this sale, as I HAVE DISCLOSED ALL INFORMATION I KNOW ABOUT THE CAR, I want you to feel confident with this investment into an appreciating classic. YOU ARE WELCOME TO INSPECT THE CAR, and i will try to accommodate all reasonable requests when setting up a Pre Purchase Inspection. I EMPLOR YOU TO DO THAT BEFORE BIDDING. PLEASE check back as more PHOTOS and VIDEOS will be uploaded. Walk Around: Cold Start (before any maintenance work): Cruising: Passing: EXTERIOR:Photo Gallery - click to enlarge Value and Condition: I put this car at condition 3+ car. Looking at the graph this is between condition 2 (yellow line) and condition 3 (blue line) ….also notice how these are going up in value everyday!. That with the recent engine rebuild, and not too distant body and mechanical preservation. Car was restored several years ago but has blemishes as outlined above. The “A” models: are considered one of the best of the old and new…. Having the original style of the first Porsches…..i love how the fender slopes down and the headlight is lower then the fender line, with the more modern, powerful and reliable 1600cc engine…. and… this one is a super 1600cc, so even better! The ’58 is a significant car also because it was made exactly 10 years after Porsche started the car company.

This 1964 Porsche 356C underwent a cabriolet conversion some years ago. The builder used all of the necessary parts from a cabriolet to convert this coupe into a convertible. The entire rear skin is factory cabriolet, as is the windshield frame and adjoining area. The rear deck lid is factory cabriolet, as well. Mounts for the top frame were fabricated, see pics. Included in the sale is a brand new top frame sourced from Europe. You may have seen these expensive, handcrafted top frames at the L.A. Lit Meet this year. The builder picked a good coupe to start with, as the car appears very solid. The paint, while very shiny, may not be to every driver's taste. The color is burgundy metallic with shadowed racing stripes, please see pics. The project was stalled at some point and stored indoors for a number of years. We gently woke it up and had the following services performed: Full engine tune up w/ points, condenser Complete rebuild of Weber 40 IDF carbs Valve adjustment Fuel system flush with new filter Brake system flush New 12V battery In the car is period correct (and possibly matching) 356C motor #711279. The builder had the engine built with big bore pistons and cylinders and performance Weber IDF carburetors, so it's a bit of a hot rod. The owner also converted the car to 12-volt for more reliability and stronger starts. The car is now running, driving and stopping. Everything included with the car is pictured, so there will be a few pieces left to source to finish the car. The car retains a coupe VIN, but is listed as a convertible on the title. If you've found yourself priced out of the open car market but still want to feel the wind in your hair, this is your chance for the ultimate affordable convertible. A strong engine, 12-volt reliability on disc brakes will make this a great fun-in-the-sun Porsche. I am a 356 and Early 911S Registry member with an eBay Feedback Rating of 100%, so bid with confidence. Please ask any and all questions, they will be answered quickly and honestly. Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Very original, rust free, two-owner 356 was originally purchased by a Houlton, Maine Grandma. Only driven in fair weather from Spring to Fall. Sold to the second owner in 1985 with 35,000 miles. Now showing just 70,000 miles. This 356 is fully numbers matching including the wheels. There is no visible rust or evidence of rust repairs/panel replacement. The hood is unbent and the 356 has really great gaps, glass and chrome. It is all original except for one repaint in the original Smyrna Green color done in the 80's. The interior is 100% original and has yet to be fitted with a radio. The dash is original paint and the instruments are nice and bright. The original owner's books and cover are in the glove box. This 356 has always been loved and properly maintained. It has a great feel and patina only an original car has. Serious inquiries please call 631-786-6511 EST. International inquiries please email me at [email protected]. Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Just out of a 45-year ownership, this great old 356 is nearly all original except for one repaint in the original color of Ruby Red 35 years ago. Full matching numbers including the wheels. The interior is 100% original. This 356A has a great even patina that only comes from a car that was maintained and loved. Runs and drives very well. Original battery box and floor pans. The floors have had some small rust repair and small amounts of rust in the pan (these can be patched) however the floors are strong and the 356 is very solid. I would enjoy this 356 as it is.Please contact me for full images. This car is also listed elsewhere. I reserve the right to sell it outside this listing.Bank wire in full within 48 hours.

Here we have a car that slept through part of the 90s and missed the dawn of a new millennium. The window sticker shows 1995 so we are guessing that was when it was parked. Chassis 112971 is a 1960 Reutter built B Coupe that currently has engine 714262. When we gently woke this car from it's slumber we took it to our mechanic and had him go through the systems. He rebuilt both Solex carbs, the fuel pump, and put a new fuel cock in and as a result the car is now running well and holding a nice idle. The brakes were adjusted and they are stopping the car but could use some more fine tuning, or the shoes might start being a little smoother once the cobwebs are gone with some driving. The car is still wearing Ruby Red (paint code 702) that is an older re-spray that presents well, but if you go looking for flaws and blemishes you will find some. There are also some small bubbles on the bottom of the doors, please see pics. The underside is solid, again please see pics. The interior presents very well, it has seen little if any action since it was re-done. Also, a brand new battery was installed. Basically, if you have been looking for a nice coupe and are scared by the sky high prices, this solid example should really merit your consideration. It would be a great car to take the winter and fully sort so you are primed and ready for the Spring driving season. This car has a clear title and is ready for export! One of a series of special, low-production 356s built by the factory to appeal to niche buyers, these few SC/GTs are generally in long-term 356 collections, making acquiring one a challenge. On top of that, the near-half-million-dollar expense takes them off the road in general. The ideal SC/GT is one that enjoys all the benefits of the car, somehow avoiding the inevitable angst in driving one on the road, which led to the expert recreation offered from the Robert Rathe Porsche Collection. As with all SC/GTs, it uses a GT bodyshell, with lightweight aluminum doors, boot and bonnet hand crafted by noted expert Mark Barton at The Panel Shop. Plexiglass side and rear windows are also correct for an SC/GT. One of the model’s other distinguishing features was an unusually well-trimmed interior, here recreated with Black leather GT seats by Autos International, together with a factory roll bar kit and 80-liter competition gas tank.Body and interior made it a GT, so the 1600 engine needed to be SC-spec. A type-616/16 SC engine includes three-piece cast aluminum crankcase, special bearings, sodium-filled valves, Ferral cylinders and host of other modifications for 95 HP at 5,500 RPM. This rebuilt engine includes twin Solex carburetors and snorting GT exhaust – an intoxicating combination on track or on road.Completed in low-maintenance two-stage Silver over a Black and Silver interior, this is a unique opportunity to experience the high-performance, low-weight SC/GT in a wonderfully executed package.HIGHLIGHTS - Original color code 6206 of Silver Metallic - Black leather interior - Freshly rebuilt SC 1600/95 HP engine - Original GT exhaust - Correct Solex carburetors - Two year restoration by Vintage Auto Collectibles - New floors - New battery box - New longitudes - New hood, doors and engine lid rolled out of aluminum - Correct SC/GT seats - Correct German weave carpet - Original GT roll bar - Plexiglas 7 piece window set - Gauges were restored by North Hollywood Speedometer - Binder with history information available Stock: 215093Color: SilverInterior color: BlackVIN: 315093Transmission: ManualBody style: CoupeYear: 1964Engine: 4 CylinderMiles: 00005For more details call 631 283 8819For more details call 631 283 8819For more details call 631 283 8819For more details call 631 283 8819For more details call 631 283 8819For more details call 631 283 8819For more details call 631 283 8819For more details call 631 283 8819For more details call 631 283 8819
