I am listing my 1967 GTO for sale, It needs some cosmetic restoration to have a show car. It is a factory 4 speed with a 400 cu in engine. The car runs beautifully!!!!Whats been done- new trunk pan installed, new gas tank and straps, underneath detailed. Brakes completely rebuilt from the Master Cylinder to the shoes with new stainless lines and rubber hoses. Quarter panels on both sides behind the wheelwell have had a patch put in and finished on the outside. I kept the pieces cut out to show anyone how small they were. Floorpans are excellent. Please note I have added pictures where it needs rust repair, corner of both doors, trunk area behind the rear seat. Minimal but needed to be disclosed.New Master Cylinder, Alternator, Fuel pump, Power Steering. FACTORY A/C! And all there!!! This car has never been restored and never molested, I have traced it back to it's original owner. Redline tires and wheels refinished. What it needs- paint job, detail the motor, carpet and headliner. Repair the drivers seat. From 10 feet it looks beautiful, but it has chips, scratches and dings. The car has only had one repaint from what I can tell and probably in the 80's.I have driven this car to Pigeon Forge, Charlotte and it has never failed me, it REALLY does run and drive like new. Transmission shifts like new also, it's a pleasure to drive, not like most old cars.I also have the original owners manual, window sticker and PHS report. This is a REAL GTO, 242 vin. It does not have the original motor but is a 1970 400, transmission is original. NO TRADES as I have enough cars at the moment.NC title in my name. Call me with questions- 8288083864

This vehicle was picked up from an insurance auction for resale. We directly purchase from insurance auctions and no middle man involved. Insurance companies usually salvage vehicles due to collision, theft, flood..etc. but this doesnt mean that they are beyond repair. In most cases its not the actual damage to the car that causes a vehicle to be salvaged but the circumstances under which they are declared salvage. For example, theft recovered vehicles are always salvaged since they are usually recovered after the owner is paid off by the insurance company. Or the owner might not want the vehicle after going through an accident even if the damages are light and easily repairable such as our cars. Whatever the case is these cars can easily be returned to the streets and that is why theyre sold through auctions as repairable vehicles. We have the salvage certificate of title (no-liens) in our possession and it will be re-assigned to the new owner to follow up with their state salvage process. Every state has its own salvage process and its usually filling out some forms and taking the car to an inspection after repairs (if any repairs are needed). Please check with your local motor vehicle center for the exact procedures and rules/regulations. ******************************************************************************** Fees and Taxes WE DO NOT COLLECT ANY SALES TAX!!! YOU WILL PAY TAXES TO THEIR OWN RESPECTIVE STATE. NO OTHER FEES NO BOGUS FEES ? Call or text "03279" to 828-214-3536 for more information

Few people even knew that Pontiac made a handful of GTOs in 1973, and most of them had the smaller 400 ci motor. This is one of the few 544 that were snuck out the door with big 455 V8, reserved for the Trans Am. It one only gets better as this numbers-matching motor has been mated to a four-speed manual something the factory never had the guts to do! This is one of the rarest GTOs around, but making this one even rarer is the correct triple-black color combination. Someone wrote a giant check to get this car into such spectacular condition, and with black paint, there's no place for shoddy workmanship to hide. The high gloss darkness looks incredible, clinging to the all-new A-body sheetmetal with hardly a ripple or wave to be seen. The black vinyl roof might show the luxury end of this Pontiac, but the front NACA ducts leave you with no question about its performance car nature. This hood artfully ends in the split grille up front, with a Pontiac chevron in the center, and simple GTO badging - just the way they've been doing it since the first one hit the streets in '64. There's not much chrome on this midnight prowler of a Goat, but the bumpers and trim remains in outstanding condition, and their shine only helps to emphasize the black paint. This mean and unique performance attitude is capped off with an iconic set of Cragar wheels. Bucket seats in a full-sized A-body would become an endangered species in the years to come, but in this GTO they're part of the factory package. Today they still look a fresh as if this was 1973, and the coupe was sitting in the Pontiac showroom. The center console looks just as fresh, and it utilizes the manual transmission opening that was designed for the smaller 400 ci cars. The steering wheel has a simple PMD horn button that always worked well with the Pontiac Motor Division's understated attitude. Beyond that is a full set of gauges, including Pontiac's cool tach and clock combo readout. But while this is a driver's coupe, all the riders will be happy that this one has been upgraded to an air conditioner running modern R-134a. The most important component of this factory-correct Pontiac is what fills the engine bay. The 455 cubic-inch V8 was the largest motor Pontiac was offering at the time. This is the original, numbers-matching engine, giving this GTO an impressive pedigree. Its preserved appearance will be a hit at car shows (just wait and see how many people want to take a picture of your "Keep your GM car all GM" sticker on the air cleaner.) But there are some upgrades to this one. You can see that this has a new H-pipe exhaust for a superior rumble, and of course, we didn't forget about the gearbox. This is a period-correct Muncie M20 four-speed that was designed to easily handle the power of the big V8. It's a wonder why Pontiac didn't offer this combination to the public. Maybe they thought premium buyers didn't want to shift there own gears, so thank goodness for an enthusiast with the guts and wallet to make this upgrade happen. You'll enjoy tearing up the streets in this GTO since the stick shift linked to Pontiac's Safe-T-Track limited slip rear end. Plus, there's good all-around grip with front disc brakes and BF Goodrich tires. This is a one year only GTO, which makes this Goat more of a unicorn. It even comes with plenty of documentation to back it up, including the factory buildsheet and reproduction window sticker. So if you're not quick enough to snatch up this rare Pontiac you'll have as much proof it exists as, well, a unicorn. But, when the GTO officially kicked off the muscle car wars, it wasn't GM's impressive engineering prowess or Pontiac's hard-fought performance image that turned the car into a legend. It was the opportunity for any customer to walk in to the showroom, buy a small platform with a big engine, and, with the flip of a checkbook, deck it out with some major performance hardware. It's hard to think of any GTO that embodies that 'build-to-suit' mindset better than this professionally tweaked drop-top. With a massaged big block, a tough Muncie 4-speed and head-turning aesthetics, it's the perfect cruiser for any muscle car enthusiast who wants to prowl the show field and burn up the streets! BODYWORK/TRIM While this real-deal GTO's classic good looks originated in the mind of engineer John Z. DeLorean, it was the professionals at Tony's Muscle Cars of Sugarloaf, Pennsylvania that ensured its present appearance is top-notch in virtually ever way. Back in 1999, a meticulous mechanic, who remains friends with the car's current owner, orchestrated a body-off, rotisserie restoration that dressed original sheetmetal and original floorpans in a roster of NOS componentry. Fast forward to late 2015, when the crew at Tony's thoroughly freshened that reboot and added rich Burgundy 2-stage that perfectly contrasts the car's clean white top. And today, this razor-sharp Poncho is a first class head turner that's solid, composed and ready for prime time! ENGINE Peek under the fully functional hood and you'll find a '72-spec 455 that was completely rebuilt by the pros at Jim Taylor Engine Service of Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania. At the top of that Turquoise mill, a Ram Air IV Quadrajet bridges the gap between stainless fuel lines, a date-correct air cleaner and a port-matched Ram Air IV intake. That air/fuel mixture floods '69 Ram Air IV heads, which hide Manley valves, Comp springs, Comp roller rockers and Crane chromoly pushrods under polished covers. That valvetrain is propelled by a balanced rotating assembly, which spins TRW pistons between Clevite bearings, a Crane cam and high quality Melling lifters. That assembly gets sparked by MSD 6AL ignition, which sequences fire through a traditional points distributor and Packard TV R Suppression cables. Below those cables, jet-coated '69 Ram Air IV exhaust manifolds make quick work of spent gases. At the front of those manifolds, old school pulleys spin a rebuilt alternator and factory power steering in front of Edelbrock timing components. And a fresh brake booster, a factory-spec radiator and a familiar Melling oil pump keep the fluids flowing. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Logging few miles since the car's freshening, this goat's fully restored undercarriage is completely free of significant issues and major defects. The stout big block commands a tough Muncie 4-speed with the help of a beefy Hayes clutch. That proven gearbox grinds power to a rebuilt GM 10-bolt, which spins a posi-trac differential around friendly 3.36 gears. That drivetrain rides in a familiar F41 Sports Suspension. At the corners of that suspension, power-assisted calipers clamp drilled and slotted rotors. A custom, true-dual exhaust system connects the car's coated manifolds with welded, dual-chamber mufflers and polished stainless tips. And a quartet of U.S. Mags Ramblers spins 245/45ZR17 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs in front of 285/40ZR18 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs. INTERIOR Swing the doors and you'll find a clean vinyl interior that feels like the perfect place to spend a warm summer evening. Front and center, a trio of bench and bucket seats includes a rare reclining throne for the car's front passenger. The 455's vitals are displayed by a deluxe Rally Gauge Cluster, which complements a customized hood tach. Like-new carpet anchors a chrome Hurst shifter inside a factory-spec console. At the sides of the car, pliable door panels mix crank windows with manual locks. In front of the driver, an optional Sport Steering Wheel laps a tilting column. And behind the passengers, a restored and matted trunk anchors a full-size spare tire beneath correct decklid decals. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONThe car's original Owner's ManualThe car's original factory literatureStacks of itemized restoration receiptsPaperwork and receipts for the car's professional engine buildComponent paperworkPontiac Historic Services paperwork Fully sorted and ready to roll, this iconic GTO is an ideal blend of performance and style. This car is in pretty good shape. I love this car but I'm in a spot where she's got to go. Runs like a dream, but there are a few issues that I don't have the money to take care of before I have to sell her. There is a bit of a slip in the rear differential. The windshield is cracked, some of the stitching has popped on the interior, and there is a crack in one rim. I believe there is one accident on the carfax, but my mechanic said all the repairs are solid. Whats good? The motor is very well taken care of. I only drive two miles to work and have put on about 20k in the last four years. I am religious about using Shell Premium gas, and Mobile 1 oil, and since I drive so little I change it every five months. The only time I really got on it was one day I took it to the track. It has a Vararam intake, Flowmaster cat back exhaust, and sounds really nice. Hurst Short throw shift. Custom embroidered floor mats with a GTO logo. Aftermarket halo type head lamps. Green LEDs all around the cockpit. Custom "never sag" headliner. The manufacturing defects have been addressed, mainly a wiring harness that tends to rub and short out if not protected, has been insulated. Stainless steel brake lines all the way around. Back tires have approx 4k miles and are in good shape, front tires still have some life left. I will also include two Pontiac center caps for the wheels, that I ordered on E-bay after one broke. And if you want I still have the original headlamps. This car is a steal at $11,000.

This is a very rare chance to get an almost totally original 66 GTO with matching numbers. I have a BRAND NEW CLEAR NC TITLE IN MY NAME. Try to find another one at this price and this complete. This car needs and deserves to be restored, and I am just unable to do it. This car must be sold and this may be your last chance to buy an inexpensive GTO project car. This GTO was sitting in a field for about 30 years. It is completely unmolested and almost untouched. No Bondo, no welding or patches-all original GM sheet metal. The matching number engine will need to be overhauled-not running now. Needs new floor pans. Trunk lid will need to be replaced. All the dashboard dials work, including radio. Door cards are decent and can be improved with TLC. Check the pictures-you have matching numbers on the engine! Doors close and fit well, as does hood. All 4 windows crank up and down. Seats can easily be restored. Mirrors are original and intact. Grill, headlights and trim are in good shape, along with rear lights. All the original GTO badges are on the car, including those on the door cards. The 1966 GTO is one of the most valuable cars when restored, going into 6 figures. I can deliver up to 100 miles of KING, NC for $250.00, otherwise buyer is responsible for picking up or shipping this car. Down Payment of $1000 must be made within 48 hours. The balance of the payment must be paid IN CASH within 72 hours of winning the auction. If paying with Cashier's check, it will have to clear before car changes hands. No exceptions. There are absolutely no guarantees or warranties either stated or implied. I will not be responsible for any omissions or errors associated with this transaction. I am happy to allow personal inspection of this car with an appointment.

Yes, this coupe body was one of the first few that were snuck out the door to show Detroit that America loved the idea of a big V8 motor in a lighter, more compact package. You know this a genuine first-year GTO, so everyone at your car shows can thank this coupe for starting the muscle car craze. But now it gets better when you take a look at the trim tag and realize that this coupe is painted Starlight Black, because that's the color that was applied at the factory. So you can just imagine fifty years ago when the GTOs were still building their reputation on the streets, and this black-as-midnight beast pulls up to a stoplight ready to teach a lesson. Today this glossy paint serves as a template to show you just how straight this body really is. But as sinister as this car might appear, there are still plenty of bright spots. The chrome looks amazing on the Wide-Track front end, and the rear bumper and trim strip really give the taillights a nice presence (and that's what most people saw of these anyway!) There's even a nice hit of color on the Coker redline tires. Inside, this loaded GTO continues its dark black theme, but it's also brightened up by a cool contrasting white. The white vinyl seats and door cards look pristine, and they are durable enough to stay that way for many years to come. In between is an attractive factory center console made even more desirable by the Hurst shifter. There's a woodrained three-spoke sports steering wheel for the power steering. The machine turned dash console is a hallmark of the GTO, and it's the perfect home for the original components such as the heat/defrost controls, and the optional AM/FM radio. This bright panel was also a great place for all the gauges, but because of such as big motor, there were extra readouts added under the dash, like oil, water, and power, the tachometer was added on the steering column, and the vacuum gauge on the center console. Under the hood is a 400 cubic-inch Pontiac V8. That extra displacement means you should be putting down a more power than the other '64s out there. Of course you can't have a street-eating GTO without a Tri-Power carburator setup too. The combination looks amazing on top of the correct turquoise engine block. Best of all, this is hooked up to a four-speed manual transmission. Yup, you might need to find your Beach Boys music for the ride home because this Little GTO will have you humming. Then again, once you hear the growl of the dual exhaust, you might just want to roll down all the windows and make a different soundtrack. A fully loaded and excellent color first-year GTO doesn't come along very often. This has been cared for so well that we even have the owner's manual. So hurry up get this one before another Beach Boy gets their hands on it. The goat practically defined the golden age of Detroit, and by the time its first production run was over, it had become the best-selling muscle car of all time. Not surprisingly, demand for these cornerstone classics continues to be strong, and in the first half of 2015 we shipped five awesome GTOs to five very satisfied owners. The beneficiary of a recent rotisserie restoration, this documented, national award-winning hardtop is likely one of the nicest Pontiacs we've ever featured. With a numbers-matching drivetrain, solid, mostly original sheetmetal and a correct triple black color combination, it's the perfect turnkey muscle car for anyone who enjoys cruising fast, wide and loud. And if you're looking for an impressive classic that'll roll straight out of the showroom and right on to the show field, it's your chance to grab a tiger by the tail! BODYWORK/TRIM Fresh out of a no-holds-barred reboot that wrapped up in May of 2014, this super cool A-Body is a perfect blend of good craftsmanship and great attention to detail. Originally sold in Westfield, Massachusetts, the car was discovered by its current owner, a '64 GTO purist, in Waycross, Georgia. After roughly 25 years of enjoyment, that owner initiated a 2-year, rotisserie restoration that fitted the coupe with a fresh pair of quarters and meticulously straightened its profile to better-than-new condition. Once that comprehensive metalwork transitioned from the garage bay to the paint booth, classic '60s panels were re-sprayed in correct Starlight Black PPG. When that paint dried, a correct vinyl roof capped a hearty layer of clear, which had been buffed to a clean, flat shine. And today, officially unleashed as the epitome of old school American style, this goat is one seriously cool head turner that grabs trophies just as easily as it drops jaws. ENGINE Pop the car's sculpted hood and the first thing you'll notice is a 389 cubic inch Trophy V8 that's been completely rebuilt and wrapped in attractive Turquoise skin. Less obvious, of course, is that stalwart mill's correct 9773155 casting number, April (D) 2nd (2), 1964 (4) casting date and 348 horsepower, manual transmission-exclusive "76X" assembly stamp. At the top of the block, a correct Rochester Tri-power setup bridges the gap between polished air cleaners, bright stainless fluid lines and a correct, cast iron intake. That intake rides between correct heads, which hang hardened valve seats and attractive valve covers over a flat-tappet cam and GM NOS pistons. A familiar points distributor jolts spark through pliable plug wires. Cooling is provided by a heavy duty Harrison radiator, which sends water around a correct fan via GM-branded hoses and traditional tower clamps. Charge comes courtesy of a rebuilt GM alternator and reproduction Delco battery. Charred dinosaurs float through a nice pair of restored exhaust manifolds. And aesthetically, the impressive engine is fully detailed, from its correct tags and vivid decals all the way to its yellow carb spring and appropriate grease marks. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Logging few miles since their thorough restoration, this goat's carefully repaired floors and super clean frame are completely free of significant issues and major defects. The stout 389 sends power to a stalwart Muncie transmission, which hangs a correct 3851325 casting number in front of a Muncie (P) assembled on February (02) 26th (26), 1964 build stamp. That proven gearbox spins a tough GM 10-bolt, which twists a posi-trac differential around big, 3.90 gears. At the sides of that rock-solid drivetrain, aluminized, true-dual exhaust pipes connect the aforementioned manifolds with tough turbo mufflers. At the sides of that booming soundtrack, a rebuilt and tagged suspension is complete with factory power steering and power drum brakes. Muscle meets the pavement through 14-inch steelies, which spin 205/75 BF Goodrich Silvertown Radial redlines around deluxe wheel covers. And absolutely everything, from this Poncho's fresh stainless fuel tank to its clean Turquoise oil pan, is fully sorted and ready to be scored! INTERIOR Open this coupe's doors and you'll find a correct GM code 214 Black interior that's simple yet sporty. Front and center, firm bucket and bench seats wrap bright chrome trim around cool, pleated hides. The engine's vitals are displayed by a rebuilt gauge cluster, which integrates an optional tachometer into a correctly padded dash that's complete with engine-turned trim and a correct Delco radio. On the floors, like-new carpet anchors a simple shifter and stylish, chrome-trimmed console between thick, Pontiac-themed floor mats and classy, Fisher-themed sills. At the sides of the car, fresh door panels hang new chrome handles under straight stainless trim and monochromatic Pontiac insignias. In front of the driver, a Custom Sport Steering Wheel spins a faux wood rim around a red, Pontiac-branded horn button. And behind the passengers, a clean trunk sandwiches a correct jack and full-size spare tire between a standard mat and requisite decklid decal. AWARDSGTO Association of America Concours Silver Award (616 out of 700 points) HISTORICAL INFORMATION The accuracy of this impressive Poncho's restoration is certainly affirmed by its Pontiac Historic Services documentation. Rare car, being that Pontiac only made 5,807 GTO's in 1972. 400 C.I. engine with a four barrel carb. Automatic Transmission. Runs and drives like new. You can fly in and drive this car home. (I will pick up at the airport) Only 16,829 miles showing and based on the condition of the car and interior, and conversations with the last owner it is believed that these are the original miles. This car gets babied and has never been over 60 mph in the last four years. Southern car with no rust....built in Atlanta, Ga. Spent most of it's life in SC and now in NC. Clear title. For the last 4 years this has been a show car and has won many awards. The paint is old but looks very good....it is not perfect and if I keep the car that is the only thing I would have done in the next year of so. For a 43 year old car, this car is amazing. Whenever this car needs anything, it is done with extreme care to maintain the original specs for the car. See the picture of the window sticker....this was a highly optioned car in 1972. Factory 8 track player installed, but currently not working.Smoke free environment. Always in a garage.Note: Car is for sale locally and the auction can end at any timeShipping cost is by the buyer.I welcome anyone to come and inspect the car (the pictures do not do it justice)Note: $500 deposit due at the end of the auction and the balance is COD in CASH. Please be real with a "Best Offer".....the "Buy it Now" price is a real bargain for this car. Only selling because I am ready to move on to another project. No warranty expressed Happy to email more pictures upon request. Owing a clone is a way to have a faithful tribute to these extremely rare muscle cars while also saving huge money. Plus, when it looks as good as this one, it's up to you to decide if you want to share this car's secret. Getting a GTO right is no easy task. For starters, the stylish and dent-resistant Endura front bumpers were exclusive to the GTOs and not shared with any other mid-size Pontiacs in 1970. The functional dual-scoop is another unmistakable icon of this muscle car. All of this is set off with a bright mint turquoise paint to grab everyone's attention. When showing up or showing off, enthusiasts know The Judge is much more than just getting the highly stylized decals accurate on the fender and the trunk. This package was about adding more street-smart aggression, so getting one of these right has to include extras like the wild colored side stripes and the rear spoiler. The Rally II wheels are a hallmark of these muscle cars because they have a stylistic flair with the PMD (Pontiac Motor Division) center cap that gives them a hint of industrial inductiveness. Inside, the deep black bucket seats are all about sporty business. The chair's dark vinyl matches the color of the door cards, center armrest, roof, and dashboard, but the interior is not a monochromatic experience. There is wood appliqu' on the center console and surrounding the gauge cluster. Plus, 1970 was the first year when Pontiac's performance cars would feature a section of billet aluminum trim a touch many other clones often miss. The steering wheel is actually a later unit out of a Trans Am, which gives it the comfort of a smaller diameter, and better grip. This tribute to The Judge comes with plenty of convenience options such as power steering and air conditioning (factory in this car, but needing parts to complete it). Looking for the tachometer? It's outside, mounted on the hood. It was a head-up display option for racing, and quite frankly, also just another way the designers back then were showing how they were always thinking about cool showpieces. Underneath the hood is the stout numbers matching 350 cubic inch V8 motor. The three-speed automatic transmission and front disc brakes makes the coupe good for cruising, but the performance exhaust upgrade will announce to everyone not to mess with this Judge. Plus, there's an extra feeling of confidence from behind the wheel of these tribute cars. This Pontiac coupe came down the same assembly line in between its GTO brothers, but it likely didn't spend its first few years making jackrabbit starts at each traffic light like most GTOs did. Instead, this one just has all the appearance of a cherished original at a fraction of the price. Pontiac used to have fun in its advertisements about how "The Judge can be bought." It all holds true with this tribute clone...just for a lot less. 1970 Pontiac GTO for Sale 1970 Pontiac GTO for Sale Stock # 2922-CHA Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC 28269 Local/International: (704) 598-2130 Toll-Free: (866) 542-8392 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Atlanta Showroom 213 Thornton Rd Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Local/International: (678) 279-1609 Toll-Free: (877) 367-1835 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom 5400 Sandshell Dr Fort Worth, TX 76137 Local/International: (817) 764-8000 Toll-Free: (855) 877-2707 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM CST Sat: 9AM - 5PM CST Email: [email protected] TERMS OF SALE 1. [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1969 Pontiac GTO Frame Off Restored Numbers Matching Triple White GTO 400 V8 TH400 PS PB A/C Year: 1969 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: White Mileage: 82172 Transmission type: 3 Speed Automatic Engine: 400 V8 Interior color: White Vehicle Info In the golden age of American muscle the Pontiac GTO was king. And today, when you're looking to grab a piece of Detroit's finest iron without closing out your retirement, a numbers-matching GTO is one of the smartest purchases on the market. There's no reason a blue chip classic should cost more than the mortgage on your house. And there's ABSOLUTELY no reason spending your hard earned money should result in a 'rope and red carpet' trailer queen. After all, being a part of GM's rambunctious Pontiac family was never about striking pretty parking lot poses. This fully sorted coupe, equipped with its original, 400 cubic inch V8, original Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed and correct Cameo on Parchment color combination, is the kind of car you can enjoy WHILE it appreciates. If you're the kind of gearhead who likes to put their hardware on the field and the street, you're looking at your next classic! To authenticate this Pontiac's status as a real-deal GTO, I'll go ahead and break down both its VIN and cowl tag. VIN: 242379A1XXXXX2 Pontiac Motor Division42 GTO37 2-door hardtop9 1969 model yearA Assembled in Atlanta, Georgia1 Equipped with a V8XXXXX Production sequence number COWL TAG:69 1969 model year2 - 2: Pontiac Motor Division42 - GTO37 - 2-door hardtopATL Assembled at GM's Atlanta, Georgia manufacturing facility508001 Fisher Body production sequence number257 Parchment interior50 Cameo White paintE White Cordova roof11A Assembled during the first week of November 1968 According to this goat's Pontiac Historic Services documentation, it was produced at GM's Atlanta assembly plant and trucked right down the road to Atlanta's own Boomershine Pontiac. Recently, a high quality, professional restoration transformed the car into a straight, road-ready classic that looks great from any angle. And presently, all its moving parts function as well as the day they left the showroom. On top of those parts, correct Cameo White basecoat fuels a subdued and classy demeanor. And a mirror-like clearcoat defines sculpted, muscular lines with excellent, unbroken reflections. By the late '60s, Pontiac had pretty much perfected its revolutionary performance car both mechanically and aesthetically. At the front of this coupe, a highly renowned Endura bumper hangs stainless-trimmed grilles and a pristine "G T O" emblem between hidden headlights, a stainless-trimmed valance and clear, stainless-trimmed parking lamps. Behind that bumper, a Ram Air bonnet props small scoops in front of like-new glass, correct, color-keyed vinyl and excellent stainless frames. At the sides of that bonnet, a stainless-trimmed profile hangs classy door handles and a factory-correct mirror between monochromatic fender emblems and small GTO marker lamps. And at the back of that profile, a thick bumper centers simple taillights between a black "G T O" badge and beveled Pypes exhaust tips. Pop this awesome A-Body's hood and you'll find an original, 400 cubic inch Pontiac V8 that's branded with a familiar 9790071 casting number, a correct "YS" assembly stamp and a matching partial VIN. Turning stout 10.75 to 1 compression into an even 350 horsepower, this tanked and rebuilt powerhouse utilizes original, open chamber heads, hardened valve seats, a hydraulic cam and a polished crank to provide the legendary Pontiac performance we all know and love. At the top of the storied mill, a chrome-capped, dual-snorkel air cleaner funnels wind into a Rochester Quadrajet carburetor. Behind that carburetor, a traditional points distributor shoots fire though reliable Delphi Packard plug wires. Below those wires, restored, cast iron exhaust manifolds roar into large, true-dual pipes. And in front of those pipes, a beefy radiator hangs a correct fan shroud between pliable hoses, reproduction tower clamps and a standard issue pulley fan. The hot Pontiac block displays slick Turquoise pigment from its intake all the way to its oil pan. The car's Satin Black engine bay is covered in fresh tags, clean decals and correct inspection marks. And niceties such as chrome valve covers, a correct Frigidaire AC compressor and a new Delco battery topper occupy all the right places. Park this Poncho on a lift and you'll really begin to appreciate the amount of time spent on its body-off restoration. Clean, Satin Black floors, which appear to be original, ride above a straight frame that's held together with new stainless hardware. Traveling up and down those floors is fresh stainless fluid lines that run to either a bright fuel tank or heavy duty brakes. In the middle of the chassis, an original Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed hangs a correct "PX" assembly stamp opposite a matching partial VIN. The car's familiar double A-arm front and 4-link rear suspension, which features a correct GTO sway bar and variable-ratio power steering, has been completely restored and freshly marked. Aluminized, mandrel-bent exhaust aligns throaty turbo mufflers with the aforementioned Pypes tips. And, at the corners of the floor, stylish Rally IIs spin vintage G70-14 Firestone Wide Oval Super Sport redlines around red-lettered "PMD" center caps. Take a look inside this GTO's airy cockpit and you'll find a correct Parchment interior that plays perfectly against the car's bright exterior armor. At the front of that cockpit, a straight and crack-free dash hangs a correct Delco radio and bright wood applique below clear factory gauges. In the middle of the floor, a consoled shifter is centered on restored and stainless-trimmed seats that feature new-for-'69 headrests. At the sides of those seats, good looking Parchment door panels hang red-detailed "GTO" emblems among correct stainless trim and fresh chrome hardware. Below those panels, clean carpet contrasts correct, chrome-trimmed foot pedals. Opposite that carpet, a stain-free headliner is stretched tightly from pillar to post. In front of the driver, a stealthy steering wheel spins grained vinyl around a satin-finished arrowhead. And behind the passengers, a fully restored trunk hides a correct mat, new jack and a full-size spare tire beneath a fresh decklid decal. The sale of this striking classic includes restoration receipts, a cam card, a reproduction window sticker and the aforementioned Pontiac Historic Services documents. This pristine coupe is certainly one of the cleanest GTOs we've ever featured. And most diehard Pontiac fans will agree that 1969 was a high-water mark in terms of styling, performance and exclusivity. With a professional restoration and original drivetrain, nothing will interfere with this goat being both a weapon on the street and a winner on the show field. And if you're a dedicated enthusiast who's looking for the perfect opportunity to pick up the ORIGINAL muscle car, nothing can stop you now! About the RK Motors Performance Center Regardless if your vehicle is going through our Seal of Approval Exit Service, Basic Safety Check, routine maintenance or a full custom built to your exact specifications, the RKM Performance Center has the knowledge, experience and resources to fulfill your automotive needs. In the world of electronic fuel injection and computer diagnostics, even late model dealerships look a little uncomfortable working on pre-OBD1 cars. There are many independent mechanics and shops that may be able to help, but putting your prized classic in the hands of a stranger is a leap of faith at best. This is exactly why we created the RKM Performance Center. Being proud members of SEMA, ARMO, HRIA and the North Carolina Motorsports Association, the RKM Performance Center is a nationally recognized shop; best known for high level OEM restorations and custom builds. Comprised of ASE certified mechanics, including several Master Technicians, you can feel confident that your car is in capable hands. As fellow enthusiasts, they are passionate about cars and will treat yours with the respect it deserves.
