Need more? Good, because this GTO gets all the big stuff right and then makes you fall in love with the details. You probably haven't seen another code 65 Antique Gold 1969 GTO before, but now that you have, you're probably wondering why everyone makes such a fuss over Carousel Red. The gold is sophisticated, elegant, and more than attention-grabbing... it's impossible to ignore! This is, of course, the car's original color and it was refinished to a standard that's far, far better than anything the factory could have managed in 1969. Gaps are exacting, the bodywork has been smoothed and sanded so that the reflections are crisp and sharp, and even the front bumper that surrounds the grilles fits better than new. The two-stage urethane finish is miles deep and if we had to pick nits, well, we'd be hard-pressed to find anything beyond a nick or two that are all but invisible. The tan vinyl top is a very unusual option with the gold paint and it actually looks fantastic in person. The vinyl is correct GM stuff, so it has the right grain, and of course you know that the metal underneath is in great shape, no issues there. All the chrome and stainless trim was restored or replaced, leaving it in as-new condition throughout. This is a car that truly sparkles in every possible way. The code 252 gold interior is also original to the car, and by original, I don't just mean that it's the original color, but this is actually the interior that was installed back in 1969. Only the carpets have been replaced, and the overall presentation is extremely impressive. The seats show virtually zero wear, the door panels are excellent, and the headliner remains taut, suggesting a car that led a very easy life. The options list includes factory A/C, which still blows cold using R12 refrigerant, and a very rare AM/FM radio with a stereo 8-track player down on the center console. The gauges remain in excellent condition with clear lenses and bright markings and even the woodgraining on the console and dash is crisp, clear, and bright. The trunk is like new, with spatter paint on the floor, a correct mat, and a bias-ply spare tire that's quite possibly the original piece. Have we mentioned how impressed we are with this car? The 400 cubic inch V8 is the original, numbers-matching powerplant and has been rebuilt and detailed for show. From the chrome air cleaner with dual snorkels, to the metallic turquoise engine enamel to the white stripe hoses, this engine bay looks the way it did on the showroom floor. It also runs superbly with a nice V8 burble, plenty of torque, and no fussiness when it's cold. Special care was taken to replicate the original markings on the firewall and reproduction decals were used throughout for a correct look. It's equipped with power steering and brakes, plus a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, so it's easy to drive, and even the exhaust system has just the right sound. Out back, a heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end was part of the GTO package and there's a new gas tank as well. It sits exactly right on beautiful Rally II wheels and appropriate G70-14 redline tires. Having lived all its life in Georgia, this ultra-clean GTO gets everything right. If you haven't fallen in love yet, then you're not paying attention, because this is a very special Goat. The 1974 GTO was a one-year-only design of which just over 7000 were built. This unusual hatchback also includes a rather rare bucket seat interior with console, a strong-running 350 cubic inch small block, and traditional Carousel Red paint, the ultimate GTO color. The GTO moved to the X-body platform in 1974 and would be discontinued after that, so the compact coupe you see here kind of represents the bookend to the original 1964 models. This one was originally code A Starlight Black, but during the restoration, they decided it needed to look the part of Pontiac's final muscle car, and covered it in Carousel Red instead. They did a great job with the refresh, and it's pretty clear that this car was never someone's beater because everything fits well and lines up neatly. A new GTO stripe package was installed to really make it stand out, and yes, that hood scoop is actually fully functional, not just a piece of dress-up. Big chrome bumpers were a fact of life in 1974 and they're in good original condition here, and it does wear plenty of GTO emblems and badges, just in case you missed the point. White bucket seats were an option in the GTO, and in most cases, if you ordered an automatic transmission, you got a column-mounted shifter. However, this car has the optional center console, which moved the shifter to the floor where it belongs and as a result, this is one of the rarest of all the 1974 models. The seats are in very good condition and the white door panels show reasonably well for being original. The dash is standard X-body, but that center console I mentioned should probably look familiar, since it has a full set of auxiliary gauges very reminiscent of the early Camaro setup. There's a modern AM/FM/CD stereo head unit in the center of the dash and yes, this Goat carries factory A/C as well, which still uses good old R12 refrigerant to make the cold. It's also got a tilt steering column, surely making it one of the most optioned-out examples of its kind. You could also get either a regular trunk or a hatch on your GTO, and this car's hatchback body style makes it very practical with a neatly finished cargo area that's immense. The 350 cubic inch V8 is coded YS, which strongly suggests it's original to the car. It was rated at 200 horsepower, which was still a decent number in 1974 and remember, the X-body was a relatively light car, so performance is energetic. The big air cleaner assembly should look familiar to Trans Am junkies, as should the corporate turquoise engine enamel. It's quite original under the hood without so much as an upgraded carb or headers, so it runs right and should make a great car to show off at Pontiac meets. Dual exhaust was part of the GTO package, although the twin Flowmasters sound a heck of a lot better than the original setup. There's also a TH350 3-speed automatic, a set of highway-friendly gears out back, and custom 17-inch wheels that look like vintage PMD Rallys but now carry 245/40/17 front and 255/40/17 rear performance radials. If you like the Nova, this is a fantastic alternative with a big-name badge on its nose. Complete with a build sheet, it's a great addition to any Pontiac lover's collection. Even among GTO fans, the '67 stands out as a high water mark in terms of styling. This sleek hardtop has been beautifully restored from top to bottom and offers several desirable options and upgrades that earn it a spot on most enthusiasts' short list of cars to own before they die. Originally code SS Champagne, the restorer wisely chose a color that closely replicates the original hue, in this case, Pewter, which comes from the late-model GM color chart. The result is an unusual and super clean Goat that speaks softly and carries a big stick. If the most famous muscle car of all time could be considered a sleeper, this might be it. But a low profile doesn't mean this one didn't get restored right. Quite the opposite, in fact. With a low-profile color, it's the details and the quality that make it stand out, from the laser-straight quarter panels, to the panel gaps, to the trim and badges, this car is all about getting the little stuff right. The paint has a little bit of wear on it here and there, but that's OK on a car that's going to get driven a lot, and from even 5 feet away, it still looks new. Up front the stacked headlights and split grille are Pontiac trademarks, with wire mesh inserts that recall European sports cars that inspired the GTO. In back, a shiny chrome bumper and slotted taillights leave no question about the car's identity, even though Pontiac kept the GTO badges subtle. The black interior is an excellent choice when contrasting with the Pewter exterior, and gives the car a dash of character that looks racy and upscale at the same time. As far as we can tell, this is an original bucket seat/console car, and the seats have been neatly reupholstered using materials that match the original for texture and pattern. Other cool options include a Rally gauge cluster with tachometer, an AM radio, and an aftermarket A/C system under the dash that uses modern hardware to make it very effective. The woodgrain appliques are in good condition with no peeling or fading (they are, after all, just decals), and the deep dish steering wheel is a perfect representation of the '60s; surely you already have a pair of string-back driving gloves, right? The trunk is also correctly finished with a reproduction mat and a full-sized spare tire assembly. The engine is the a thumping Pontiac 400 cubic inch V8, and has been upgraded with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor living under the original louvered air cleaner. The rest of the engine bay is neatly detailed with Pontiac Turquoise paint on the block, chrome valve covers, and satin black inner fenders, and it all looks quite correct. There's a big aluminum radiator up front and the power brake booster is recent, so it feels confident on the road. An original-spec TH400 3-speed automatic feeds a 12-bolt rear end, and the chassis is in great shape, nice enough that you'll want to show it off a bit. The suspension offers recent shocks and there's a brand new Flowmaster exhaust system that gives it that awesome muscle car rumble. Handsome factory Rally II wheels always look great, and the staggered 215/70/15 front and 225/70/15 rear white-letter radials complete the sporty look. There are plenty of GTOs out there, but not many capture this one's clean look, potent powerplant, and comfortable interior. Even among GTO fans, the '67 stands out as a high water mark in terms of styling. This sleek low-mileage hardtop has been beautifully restored from top to bottom and offers several desirable options and upgrades that earn it a spot on most enthusiasts' short list of cars to own before they die. Repainted in its original code F Tyrol Blue, this subtle GTO doesn't need to advertise in a big way to make a point. The finish was rendered in two-stage urethane, which contrasts nicely with the correct white vinyl roof, and the result is an unusual and super clean Goat that speaks softly and carries a big stick. If the most famous muscle car of all time could be considered a sleeper, this might be it. But a low profile doesn't mean this one didn't get restored right. Quite the opposite, in fact. With a low-profile color, it's the detail and the quality that make it stand out, from the laser-straight quarter panels, to the panel gaps, to the restored trim and badges, this car is all about getting the little stuff right. Up front the stacked headlights and split grille are Pontiac trademarks, with wire mesh inserts that recall European sports cars that inspired the GTO. In back, a re-chromed bumper and slotted taillights leave no question about the car's identity, even though Pontiac kept the GTO badges subtle. It's not perfect, showing a few signs of age and wear, but if you give this one a professional buff, people will line up to check it out. The black interior is an excellent choice when contrasting with the blue exterior, and remarkably this one is almost entirely original. According to the cowl tag, this is an original bucket seat/console car, and the seats have been masterfully preserved over the years so they show only the most minimal wear. Both the carpets and dash pad are almost like new and the door panels are excellent, and there's something about factory workmanship that even the best reproductions can't match. Cool options include a console with 4-speed shifter, factory A/C, and the original AM radio in the center of the dash. The woodgrain dash appliques are in good condition with no peeling or fading (they are, after all, just decals), and the deep dish steering wheel is a perfect representation of the '60s, and while there's a tach in its slot today, the original clock is included with the sale. The trunk is neat and simple, with a correct mat, full-sized spare, and a complete jack assembly. The engine is the car's original, numbers-matching 400 cubic inch V8 which is pretty much as the factory built it, right down to the traditional GTO chrome air cleaner. Detailed with Pontiac Turquoise paint on the block and chrome valve covers, it keeps a low profile that will satisfy purists. However, with just 49,517 miles on the clock, it has never required a rebuild and runs superbly today. Interestingly enough, it did not come with power steering or brakes, suggesting that this car was built for combat when it was new, but a correct power steering system was added a few years ago so it's easy to drive. The great-sounding engine feeds a bulletproof 4-speed manual gearbox and 12-bolt rear differential. The suspension has that supple, buttoned-down feeling that only low-mileage original cars can offer, the floors reflect a lifetime spent in California, and the cackling Flowmaster exhaust has just the right attitude for the '60s most famous muscle car. Pretty factory Rally wheels always look great, and the 225/70/14 redline radials complete the sleeper look. There are plenty of GTOs out there, but not many capture this one's clean look, potent powerplant, and outstanding pedigree. Vehicle Information VIN: 2423701106257 Stock: 1703-ATL Mileage: 13,597 Color: Green Trans: Manual Engine: MPG: Drivetrain: Description Legends are earned the hard way, and not every car with a big engine from the muscle car era qualifies. But one special car that can do it and do it all day long - carries the intimidating name of The Judge. Pontiacs top GTO, The Judge was everything that was great about muscle cars, all rolled up into the most outrageous wrapper you can imagine. So when you see this Canadian-built 1970 GTO Judge, complete with its numbers-matching powertrain and a top-flight restoration, remember that youre in the presence of greatness. Were there any differences between Canadian and US-built Judges? Well, not really. Same great shape, complete with the Endura front bumper splitting the grilles, same outrageous colors and graphics, and the same dedication to performance. So the main difference in owning a Canadian built model like this one is that youre owning something even that much more rare. The exhaustive and thorough restoration was completed just a few years ago, but dont be surprised if you were to look at it and think it just rolled off the assembly line yesterday. The paint is a very accurate re-creation of the factory Pepper Green, and bearing in mind that this was 1970, it was a very popular choice. The finish work on this restoration is exemplary, done to a very high standard as youd expect in a car of this pedigree. It also carries a correct Ram Air III hood, a rear wing, and beautiful reproduction Judge decals, including the brash fender flare accents and stylized The Judge emblems. Finish quality is impressive, with a great shine to the paint, sharp steel creases, nice panel alignment, and a high-quality overall look that suggests the guys putting it together knew it was, well, a legend. They did the chrome, too, so the rear bumper sparkles, the stainless trim glitters, and its all very impressive in person. Given the theme here, it only seems fitting that Legendary supplied the interior of this GTO. That means exact reproduction seat covers, correct door panels, and properly woven carpets that replicate the originals quite nicely. The color is rather unusual but also very appropriate in the green Judge, and with a few upscale accents, Pontiac was able to position the Judge not as a price-leader as originally intended (it was to be a Super Bee competitor), but rather as the top-of-the-line from GMs performance division. The woodgrained dash features a full array of instruments, including a tachometer, although it also includes the usual trio of aftermarket dials down low. The center console is simple and houses a Hurst T-handle shifter for the 4-speed gearbox. An original AM radio remains in the dash, one of the cars few options, and the trunk is correctly outfitted with a full-sized spare and jack assembly. Pontiacs legendary 400 cubic inch V8 provides motive power, and this is indeed the cars original, numbers-matching powerplant. Topped by a Holley carb underneath that Ram Air intake system, it barks to life easily and rumbles menacingly through a pair of Flowmasters. Proper chrome valve covers and Pontiac Turquoise paint keep the engine compartment looking quite stock, and there are new components everywhere you look, from the alternator to the brake booster. Long-tube headers bolster low-end torque and a the aforementioned 4-speed gearbox powers 3.55 gears, so its equally happy on the street or the highway. Handsome Pontiac Rallye II wheels are fitted and wear period-correct G70-14 Goodyear redline tires that emphasize just how correct this car is. Documented with a build sheet and other PHS papers, this is an investment-grade Judge from our friends north of the border. And it is, of course, legendary. Call today! BODY STYLE : Coupe TRANSMISSION: 3 Speed Automatic EXTERIOR COLOR: ODOMETER READING: 93449 INTERIOR COLOR : VEHICLE FEATURES & OPTIONS AM/FM Radio, Cassette Player, Cloth Interior, Power Steering, Seatbelts, Vinyl Interior SELLER REMARKS Like the look of the GTO, but maybe a bone-stock restoration isn't quite what you had in mind? Are you a fan of performance but don't want to give up a comfortable interior to get it? If you answered yes to either question, you might want to give this slick 1967 Pontiac GTO a closer look. The electric blue paint job isn't going to keep you out of sight, but if it's attention you want, this car is pretty good at getting it. Finished a few years ago, it has an undeniable street fighter look that's matched by the shiny paint and scooped hood to give it a very aggressive look. Finish quality is about what you'd expect for a car that was designed and built to do combat, nice enough to be admired but it isn't a trailer queen by any stretch of the imagination. This is a real code 42 GTO, but it's not priced like a Goat on the current market, so the bargain is hard to ignore. And those three little letters on the quarter panels seem to keep the kids in their Honda's at bay. Chrome bumpers sparkle against the bright blue paint while all the stainless appears to be in good original condition. The bucket seat interior has obviously been customized, but the tasteful cloth inserts on the original bucket seats add a softer look that works just fine. Custom embroidery on the seat backs remind everyone about this car's identity and you have to be crazy to not dig the Chief Pontiac's likeness on the rear bench. Carpets and door panels are older but still in decent shape and the floors are protected by heavy-duty rubber mats. The exterior color has been pulled inside as well, covering the dashboard, seat trim, and even the steering column, and the wood-rimmed steering wheel warms things up a bit in the otherwise cool interior. The instruments also appear to be original and there's an AM/FM/cassette stereo in the dash that makes it easy to head out on the road. The trunk remains unfinished, but wears period-inspired spatter paint. A 350 cubic inch Pontiac V8 delivers solid performance and dependability for this well-priced GOAT. Dressed up with chrome valve covers and a matching air cleaner, the wide V8 looks fast under the hood. It sports the usual performance part upgrades, including an Edelbrock intake and 4-barrel carburetor as well as a set of long-tube exhaust headers. There's a thick radiator up front keeping things cool, along with a big fan, and it sounds pretty gnarly when you key it up. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission has quick reflexes that work well with the engine's wide torque curve to make it feel responsive at any speed, and there's a 10-bolt rear out back. The chassis isn't detailed for show, but it isn't hiding under a thick layer of undercoating, either, so you know exactly what you're getting with this Poncho. Polished Torque Thrust wheels accentuate the wicked stance and carry staggered 205/70/15 front and 235/70/15 rear blackwall radials. A neat car that colors a bit outside the lines. If pure stock isn't your thing but you like the look of a GTO, then this might be a wise choice.
