I've owned this classic mini prepped vintage race car for a short while. I purchased it to get into vintage racing, however I have changed plans and the car is up for sale. The car is fully set up for vintage racing and has a fully built race drive train, however it still retains the look and function of a street legal car. The body remains all steel, with all original glass except the rear window. The headlights, brake lights and turn signals all function. One headlight opening is currently being used for the secondary radiator, however it can be easily refitted and is included. I have the car registered for street use in CA, and I have been enjoying driving it on the street. It has a large muffler that keeps the exhaust note down for street use. However, make no mistake, this is a RACE CAR first, and a street car second. It requires 110 octane race gas, has no low end, and has a VERY aggressive Tran Ex limited slip racing differential. Built in the early 90s for competitive racing in RMVR (comes with two log books)Refreshed and new drive train for Mini Challenge at Laguna Seca 2001Only raced 6 times 2002-2003 and was very competitive. 2004 freshened the motor (bearings, oil pump, seals)The car was used in driver school and raced in four additional races, but never pushed very hard. I just changed the fluids, plugs, rotor & cap, set the valves, and checked the carburetors prior to listing the car for sale.She starts right up and pulls like a rocket ship.
