A Vermillion Orange 1979 MGB needs a new home now that her owner has finally decided to sell after 43 years of ownership. What sets this car apart from others is its originality. It is equipped just as it was off the assembly line and has been carefully maintained. Still have the original owners manual, tonneau cover, and convertible boot cover. Of course, parts such as brakes, tires, ignition system, convertible top, etc. have been replaced. It has always been garaged. Runs and stops well. The manual transmission shifts smoothly. Original paint is in tgood condition and black interior is in good condition with no tears in the seats or cracks in the dash. She has never been in an accident or flood. It is an eye catcher. 1979 MGB 38K miles – VG overall but bad brakes
My friend inherited this from the original owner - her Mom. They enjoyed this British sports car until it had a small engine fire last fall. The first 3 pics are before the fire. The one picture shows the damage to the top of the hood. British Motors in Merrifield VA is repainted the hood at some $1400. They have a very good rep and did a very nice hood repaint. The later pictures are after they finished.
The engine does run now, carb was not damaged. Turns out there was a rubber hose sitting on an exhaust part – not good. Some of the soft parts (hoses etc) were damaged. The engine bay pics are after fire.
