1979 MGB 38K miles – VG overall but bad brakes
My friend inherited this from the original owner - her Mom. They enjoyed this British sports car until it had a small engine fire last fall. The first 3 pics are before the fire. The one picture shows the damage to the top of the hood. British Motors in Merrifield VA is repainted the hood at some $1400. They have a very good rep and did a very nice hood repaint. The later pictures are after they finished.
The engine does run now, carb was not damaged. Turns out there was a rubber hose sitting on an exhaust part – not good. Some of the soft parts (hoses etc) were damaged. The engine bay pics are after fire.

I was told this car never saw snow, and the cleanliness underneath shows true.
I think there are MG folks out there who have most of the parts needed to get this girl back on the road at a low cost.
