Powered by a 68 horsepower 1,489cc overhead valve engine mated to a four-speed manual transmission it featured, independent front suspension, rack-and-pinion steering and a solid rear axle with leaf springs. Braking was by hydraulic drums at all corners. Sales in the first full year (1956) were 13,394 and rose to 16,467 for 1957, by which time horsepower was up to 72 horsepower and a coupe was added. In 1959, the MGA 1600 was introduced with a larger 79.5 horsepower engine and front disc brakes. This is a sharp 1972 MGB Roadster, Black exterior with the brown interior. It has been restored to what I would call "driver condition", the body is straight and looks sharp, but the paint has some flaws, there is a very minor rust bubble and a couple of small imperfections. See all the high def pictures in the link. Mechanically it is very sound, with a full cylinder head rebuild, fuel pump, carb upgrade and tuneup, etc. Ignition has been moved off the steering column and into the center console. Starts up and drives great, a lot of fun for cruising around town. I've included a lot of pictures, as well as the receipt for all the mechanical work that was done in 2013. The top is in almost perfection condition, opens and closes great. The odometer stopped working in 2013, and even after replacing the odometer drive, it hasn't worked since. There have only been about 500 miles driven on the car in the last two years though. It's garaged most of the year, only comes out in nice weather for weekend cruises or car shows. I have a lot more pictures than what show in the auction, including some very up close pictures. Click HERE for all the pictures! Please call or text me at (816) two 9 four - 69six0 with any questions! -Dave

It's your wild boyhood fantasy hot rod - that tiny car with the huge motor. But wait, it's a little more than your testosterone driven mind had conjured up. This MG is a comprehensively built vehicle that handles like it's on rails and accelerates with rocket propelled force.  The front suspension is a Fast Cars Inc., lightweight racing suspension using geometry that was modeled after the BMW M3. The design is 80 lbs lighter than the factory set up and bolts directly to the car. The spindles are custom-built chromoly units and the steering rack is custom built for this application as well. All of the bushings are Nylatron GS and have been custom milled for the suspension. Camber and caster are very easy to adjust and the coil over Carrera shocks make changing the ride height, or swapping springs a cinch. The front brakes are 11.75 Wilwood units and the rears are Explorer discs. The master cylinder is a Wilwood complete with bias controls. The brakes have a powerful, linear feel and slow the car very quickly. The rear suspension is a 4-bar set up with a pan hard bar hooked to a narrowed 8.8 rear end.  The handling of the car is remarkable. We drove to the track, drove it on the road course and drove back to the shop. Win. The handling is very nimble, precise and the power rolls on at will. In track conditions, the car turns in very hard without noticeable understeer. The rear end will push into a smooth slide under applied throttle with no snap oversteer characteristics present. The weight distribution on the car is 51/49, but a near perfect 50/50 with the driver. You can really get a sense for this at track speed as the car has a very neutral road presence. The car is at home at city roads as well. The suspension is quiet, takes irregularities in the road with ease and is free from squeaks and creaks. The motor is a Ford 347 Stroker that runs off the Fast EZ EFI 2.0 setup. The block is a Bessel Motorsports Race Block that has been internally deburred, knife edged and polished. It features hydraulic rollers with all forged internals, Diamond pistons, and total seal piston rings. The oil pan is a 7-quart with remote oil cooler and the radiator is of the high performance aluminum variety with an electric fan. The motor runs 180 to 185 all day long in hot summer temps.  The motor uses a sequential Multiport injection manifold that is controlled by the Fast EZ EFI 2.0 computer. With the current tune on the motor, it produces around 390 HP, but is capable of 500 with a more aggressive tune. The heads are AFR 220 which have been port matched and polished. Running the components on the front of the engine is billet March serpentine system. The car also has a traction control switch on the dash that uses a drive shaft sensor to retard timing when it senses wheel slippage. The transmission is a TKO 600 5-Speed with the high-RPM synchro conversion by Liberty Gear, a McLeod single disc clutch, Fidanza aluminum flywheel, and a Quicktime shatter proof bellhousing. The MGB interior is simple and purpose built. It has a custom built roll bar, the dash is set up with Autometer gauges, and even features heated seats. We have one of the largest collections of quality collector cars in the United States. For over 20 years, we have specialized in finding the most unique vehicles in the world. See our page above to view our collection of over 100 of the world's best collector cars. 1958 MG MGA Twin Cam Roadster By the late 1950s MG needed to refresh its 1588 cc overhead valve MG A, as it was no match for its counterparts in racing. To resolve the problem MG created a dual overhead camshaft cylinder head. Produced in miniscule quantities and equipped from the factory with a stiffer chassis frame and springs, four-wheel Dunlop disc brakes and stronger axle shafts and u-joints to cope with the extra power, they were an immediate sensation. The new MG A Twin Cam came with 108hp from the factory, and made plenty more when aggressively blueprinted, tuned and prepared. MG built only 2,111 twin cams, and today they command a significant premium among collectors thanks to their rarity and sizable boost in performance over the standard MG A. This 1958 MG A Twin Cam Roadster is a stunning properly restored and well sorted example finished in dark red with a red leather interior, black carpets, red dashboard and black top. It also features side curtains, tonneau cover, the proper jack and the correct Dunlop centerlock pin drive disc wheels. A highly detailed nut and bolt restoration was performed on this car, and it looks as clean underneath as it does on top. It is overall in gorgeous showable condition and, just as importantly, is a fully sorted and shaken down running and driving example. MG A Twin Cams gained a reputation early on for mechanical fragility and engine problems, but today those issues have been resolved and when properly set up like this car has been they are as usable as they are fun. This is a top-notch specimen of one of the most collectible postwar MG models, and is ready to provide the exhilarating driving experience for which it was designed. Please call 877-550-9627 for further details! Auction Terms Bid with confidence! If you are the winning bidder, and you come to our facility to inspect it, and don’t like it, we will refund your money…no questions asked! Our reserve price has been set fairly. If the reserve is not met, the high bid will be considered, and the highest bidder will be contacted through an eBay personal offer. Please feel free to call us with any questions before bidding, we are available by phone Monday – Friday 9am -5pm, and Saturday 9:30am- 3:30pm @ 877-554-9627 Hyman Ltd. reserves the right to notify bidders and cancel this auction at any time. If you do not intend to purchase the vehicle described above, please do not bid. We cannot accept any bid retractions in the last 24 hours of the auction. All vehicles are available for personal inspection. We invite you to come visit our 100 car showroom, located just a few miles from the St. Louis International Airport. If you are the winning bidder, and wish to view the car personally, you or your agent have five days in which to complete your inspection. Remember, if for any reason you don’t like the car, we will refund your deposit, no questions asked, within this five day period. It is important to bear in mind that a vehicle is “NEW” only once and that all pre-owned vehicles, regardless of age, mileage, or level of restoration, are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. These understandings are essential to the realistic expectations of collector car ownership. It is for this reason that we encourage a personal inspection prior to delivery to help ensure your satisfaction. Please note that any mileage listed in the auction are what is showing on the odometer, and unless otherwise specified are not guaranteed to be actual miles. All vehicles are sold as-is, where-is, with no warranties expressed or implied. All sales are final. Payment Terms A 20% deposit must be received within 48 hours of auction end. Deposit is fully refundable if purchaser inspects the vehicle within the 5 day inspection period, and for any reason does not like the car. Final payment must be received within five business days of close of auction, unless other arrangements are made. Payment can be made by cashier’s check or by bank wire transfer. Shipping Terms Purchaser to pay for any and all transportation costs. We are happy to assist you in finding shipping, and will contact the shipper on your behalf. Prices and quality of service vary greatly, and we will work hard to get you a reasonable price with a reputable company. We are happy to accommodate our overseas buyers! We have exported cars worldwide for over 20 years. Overseas shipments can be containerized for safe sea passage. We take care of all the details and paperwork. All you have to do is collect the car at the port of your choice. Shipping can take 14 days or more due to scheduling.

The MGB\'s performance was considered smooth at the time of its introduction, with a 0 to 60 mph time of barely more than 11 seconds. Currently being sold as NO RESERVE!This car handles well as control was one of the MGB\'s keys to upgrade over the MGA. The engine was upgraded in October 1964 to a five-bearing crankshaft in an effort to improve reliability. The majority of MGBs were exported to the United States. In 1974, as U.S. air pollution emission standards became more rigorous, U.S.-market MGBs were de-tuned for compliance. The MGB was one of the first cars to feature controlled crumple zones designed to protect the driver and passenger in a 30 mph impact with an immovable, 200-ton barrier. In late 1967, changes were made to create the Mark II model. Changes included synchromesh on all 4 gears with revised ratios, an optional Borg-Warner automatic gearbox (except in the U.S.), a new rear axle and an alternator in place of the dynamo with a change to a negative earth system. To accommodate the new gearboxes there were significant changes to the sheet metal in the floorpan, and a new flat-topped transmission tunnel. All models are rear-wheel drive. To meet US safety regulations, later North American exports got three windscreen wipers instead of just two (to sweep the required percentage of the glass), and also received a plastic and foam rubber covered \"safety\" dashboard, dubbed the \"Abingdon pillow.\" Other markets continued with the steel dashboard. Rubery Owen ROStyle wheels were introduced to replace the previous pressed steel versions in 1969 and reclining seats were standardized in 1970.MotoeXotica had one of these sought-after Mark II MGBs in stock, and it sold in a few days. Luckily, we have another one in our showroom. This time, the 1969 MGB Roadster Mark II is in the desirable British Racing Green color. The paint is a beautiful BRG and will invigorate any drive in this true classic sports car. Driving this is a pleasure because of an upgraded five-speed synchronized gearbox with overdrive with a price tag of more than $3,000.If you are experiencing a taste of classic English weather with some drizzle, the saddle vinyl top has excellent stitching with clear windows in impeccable shape to keep your head dry and safe. The glistening chrome bumpers give a feel of British design original to the vehicle. The interior has been restored to a fabulous degree. The saddle vinyl seats match the top, and the black piping gives the seats an excellent look. You can listen to the Rolling Stones, Beatles or the Who with the after-market Pioneer stereo (P410UB) AM/FM CD player. There are also Pioneer speakers on the two doors of this classic English roadster. There are no cracks in the dash of the gorgeous model MotoeXotica has. The steering wheel is Nardi with a smooth wood finish. Even though the steering wheel looks great, the horn is inoperable. All the lights - headlights and turn signals - work, and so do the unique three-arm wipers. The engine is a 1,798 cc (1.8 L) upgraded with a Weber side draft carburetor. This engine is also improved with an engine oil cooler and electric fan. These modifications will give you that nice feeling of a drive on the English countryside or the White Cliffs of Dover on the coastline. There is an after-market header leading into a Pace Setter exhaust system which sounds absolutely wonderful and, of course, the upgraded mini-lite wheels.Make this classic Brit yours and experience motoring across the pond anywhere in the world! This MG\'s odometer currently shows 78,769 miles. This is believed to be actual, however, it is exempt due to age. The VIN is GHN4U166239G. GET OUT AND DRIVE! Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>
