Furthermore, the 190SL was a balanced performer with a sophisticated new OHC 4-cylinder engine, all independent suspension and racing-inspired drum brakes with finned aluminum drums. The solidly engineered and beautifully built 190SL also boasted a superb environment for driver and passenger with immaculate upholstery and detailing. The 190SL presented here was delivered new to New Orleans, Louisiana on November 25, 1957 and as we believe was owned by an Oklahoma businessman for three decades. This Mercedes was the subject of a restoration and under 44,000 miles which are believed to be actual miles. It is truly stunning in black with red leather interior. Beautiful 1992 Mercedes 300 SL. New expensive pearl paint job. New rims and new high performance tires. Runs great with a $2000.00 service done on it just a few miles ago. Needs a transmission rebuild for around 1500.00. A used one could be purchased. Car will not drive without it. Over 9000.00 invested in car but must sell. It has been garaged the last 2 years but cranked weekly and fires right up.Needs A pump for the convertible top to make it automatic. These are very expensive i found so i just open and close it manually. Normal wear and tear but paint is new condition. Look at pics it is a beauty if you fix trans it will be ready to go. 09 MB SL550 10x,000 miles - this is my daily driver. It's fully loaded. Window sticker was $108,000 in 2009 when new. The car is in excellent mechanical condition. I am looking to sell it and purchase another SL, but I am looking for the older SL600 with the twin turbo motor. I am open to trades, but it must be something that's as much fun as my car. My wife and I drive it every chance we get, especially out of town. We travel a lot, hence the mileage is higher than most Sl's of this age - but that's actually a good thing for a Mercedes. I just took the car to Leith Mercedes in Raleigh for a "pre-purchase inspection" to be one step ahead of the future buyer.
