This car was originally delivered to an American Doctor living in Alcante Spain. He then imported the car to Texas where it was registered on 6/22/1961. ( See photo of original Texas registration). Car spent its entire life in Texas until we bought the car in 2014. Car has just completed a comprehensive nut and bolt rotisserie restoration. Here is a summary of the restoration.:Paint process. Car is completely disassembled , chrome, doors , hood, trunk and glass removed. Engine, trannsmission, all running gear removed, and put on the rotisserie. We painted this car to its original Black ( # G 040) , using correct Glasurit paint and Glasurit clear. All chrome is renewed, all new rubber seals and gaskets. Engine: Engine is removed, fully disassembled, cylinder head rebuilt by Metric Motors. Correct Solex carbs rebuilt. All new hoses, clamps, filters, fluids, heater components, rebuild radiator, new wiring,new water pump, new tune up parts.Interior: All new Roser leather interior from GAHH. Correct front rubber mat kit, new German canvass soft top, rebuilt gauges from Palo Alto Speedometer.Undercarriage : completely rebuilt and detailed rear, and suspension, new brakes, highly detailed and painted ( painted in correct # DB 169) floors, new exhaust, all new brake lines and fuel lines.
