1979 Mercedes Benz 300SD This 4-door sedan is blue and in excellent condition both interior and exteriorly. There is a sun roof (that needs a little work on seal to open it). Power windows, cruise control, radio, AC and automatic transmission. I had the transmission rebuilt in 2012. The mileage when rebuilt was 37,035 and the current odometer is 37,187. According to Hagerty ratings, this car would be between a 2 and a 3 which is excellent, show-quality condition. I have put less than 2,000 miles total on this since I’ve owned it. The number of diesel 300SDs that were built from 1977 to 1980 numbered 28,600. In spite of lack luster performance, these diesel’s have an exceptional following due to smaller production numbers and characteristic diesel torque and economy. The materials and the build quality of the S-class makes these cars the automotive equivalent of the DC3, adding further to the allure of these stately sedans. I purchased this Mercedes in September of 2008. The car has been stored in a garage when not in use. The person I purchased the car from had restored it. The restoration includes all of the following information. No accident history, all rust removed including the rocker panels replaced, floor boards replaced, firewall repaired, rear quarter panels patched, block sanding and new paint, new undercoating, new grill, new halogen headlights and headlight surrounds, new fog lights, new windshield and molding, new front end steering rod. Driver door molding, new arm rest, new carpeting, new interior door molding, new tail light gaskets. Engine re-sleeved with new rings. One new piston, rod and main bearings, new timing chains, aluminum AC servos with a lifetime warranty. Breaks, brake fluid, coolant, radiator rebuilt. New fuel injection vacuum pull off, new glow plugs, polished valve cover, new battery, new air filter support bracket, recent new tires, new stereo system with woofer and amplifier, dash pad, new speedometer head, new AC compressor, dryer and AC expansion valve (between high and low pressure portions of the AC). AC converted to 134 from R12.I do have contact information of the person I bought the car from. He is the person that did the restoration on the car.

1985 MERCEDES 300CD TURBO DIESEL 2 DOOR COUPE (5 OWNER HISTORY) THIRTY YEAR ANNIVERSARY SURVIVOR OF THE LEGENDARY W123 MODEL WITH 3.0L 5 CYLINDER TURBO DIESEL ENGINE. GOOD OVERALL CONDITION BOTH INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR. Price based on HAGERTY Condition #3 Washington State Title Free and Clear in my name. 25 MPG City 28 MPG Highway Anthracite Grey Exterior Palomino Leather Interior (Seat leather in very good condition, though typical Drivers seat wear does show some) Well maintained with most history records. Currently just serviced all lubes & filters (rear differential, transmission, engine, brakes, fuel, air) Original Owners manuals/books, many service reports from the past. Garaged all its life - no rust. Michelin Tires at 50% estimate (still quite some tread left) Original wheel and spare tire (like new, never used) with MB tool kit and car jack Many parts have been replaced over the history of the car, but I will list the most significant items I have taken care of recently: New Front Brakes - Rotors, Calipers and pads (rear new pads) Left rear axle (due to rubber joint seal wearing out) Glow plugs and electric relay Injectors- rebuilt with new nozzles and adjusted for pressure with new Injector rubber fuel lines Water Pump, Radiator and main hoses replaced along with new thermostat. I have owned several W123 four door models in the past and love these work horse engines and how well built the 1980 Benz cars are. This 300 CD Coupe is the best sporty diesel a guy could have. The Turbo kicks in well and has power to accelerate and climb hills. No visible smoke on this car, and starts up as soon as key is turned. Cooling is perfect after engine flushed and all the new cooling parts. Transmission is smooth, and all vacuum systems working well including door locks. Shipping: Buyer to arrange pick-up and/or shipping of car. I will help deliver/assist to a shipping company locally in the Seattle, WA. area. You are welcome to pick up the car in person, and I will meet you at the SEATAC airport if needed, or other locations as mutually agreed. Payment: Bank wire transfer preferred, or Cashiers Check.
