1994 Lotus Esprit Turbo S4 - Must Sell Soon, due to growing family. Ugh! Car Just serviced at Lotus of Denver, last week, and given a clean bill of health. They did recommend getting the front shocks replaced. You cannot buy a better, and more glamorous car for the money. Car Drives Great!!! Sounds Great, too! This Amazing Lotus Esprit S4, in Excellent shape, with one of the greatest exotic car designs ever, by Colin Chapman & his team. The car is a 5 speed, Manual Transmission and it has Only 41K Miles on it, and has Always been Hand-washed and Well taken care of. It is Extremely Fast and Very Fun to drive. Glass, all-around, is in pristine condition, too. Only a few minor interior imperfections like new trunk lift supports, etc.. It is Very Unique, and is a Real head-turner. The car has Beige Leather interior, CD player, Graphite-Composite trim on the inside, and a Great, Removable Sunroof, which fits in the trunk. Car also comes with Original Owner's Manual, a PDF Service & Parts Manual, a New set of front rotors uninstalled, a New driver's side window motor, and a New Stainless steel clutch cable. I also just installed a New clutch master and a New slave cylinder, and the car also comes with a custom water-proof car cover. 1995 was the last year of the Lotus Esprit S4 Turbo 4-cylinder and only 46 cars were imported into the US! This makes this Lotus super rare as you just won't find many for sale or available. In fact they made more of the S4S model which keeps the S4 even rarer. Even the color is rare...Ibiza Blue with Red leather interior. Chrome wheels, power windows and doors, 5-speed with upgraded clutch line for easy shifting. Car only has 17,500 original miles. New tires, full complete service by certified Lotus mechanic and runs great. Comes with both painted and glass roof panels. Also has CD player and I have the matching CD changer waiting to be installed. Car is extremely clean and in excellent condition (8 out of 10). Clean Carfax and no accident car. One of the last of the 4-cylinder cars in perhaps the best color. In the early ’90 a fellow, Doc Bundy, was racing Esprits with success. Many of the handling improvements he developed were incorporated into the S4 resulting in a car that is immensely enjoyable to drive. Many regard the ’94 & ’95 S4 and S4S as the best of the Esprits. I've owned this one for 8 years. There is no known damage history and it's in stock condition. The engine was rebuilt about 4k miles ago by an expert engine builder. This builder has assembled several engines for me over the years and, without exception they all have exceeded expectations. It was rebuilt because the timing belt broke and the valves hit the pistons. The rebuild included a new crankshaft, exhaust manifold and JE pistons with ceramic &Teflon coatings. The engine accessories (starter, alternator, water pump and A/C compressor) were replaced with new units. The turbo was rebuilt and inter-cooler water pump was replaced with an electric unit. The clutch was replaced when the engine was done. A/C blows cold air, the radio play and there are no known problems. Note the V8-style valance and dual exhaust. Cosmetically, the car is in very nice condition. There are a few minor defects in the paint that can be seen in the photos. The driver’s seat shows the typical wear on the bolsters. There is a 3M invisible bra on the front. The scuff marks seen on the driver’s side door sill are only in the 3M material that was applied here also. The driver’s side door gasket has minor damage from shoes hitting it on entry and exit. The cigarette lighter is missing and the liner on the removable top is loose but is intact. The headlight mechanisms were gone through recently. The wheels were blasted and powder-coated in a silver/grey color with just a hint of green. The brakes were done a while back with upgraded rotors and the anti-lock brake accumulator replaced. The tires, Yokohama S-Drives, are about half worn. Smog test just done and passed with low emissions. While I admit I've run it up through the gears a few times and sometimes push the limits in the corners the car has been well treated. We've gone a few road-trips but mostly it has been an occasional around-town driver. I've not raced it or taken it to the track. Truly a nice car that can be driven in confidence. Comes with the complete factory workshop manual, the leather-bound owner’s book and a custom-fitted color-matching cover. The car is a joy to drive. And easy to live with. This is a great buy for someone. REGARDING THE AUTOCHECK REPORT: There are NO title or lien issues with this vehicle. I paid cash for it in 2007 and never had any kind loan or lien on it. There also seems to be some concern about the odometer reading; I have no reason to think the number reported is not correct. AUTOCHECK told me the mileage reported to MN in 2002 was incorrect and I needed to contact the MN DMV or provide evidence of the error. I guarantee the title is clear and the mileage is correct.
