I am selling my Rare 2007 Jaguar XKR Coupe. It has the 4.2L Supercharged V8 with approximately 440HP. It is a highly desirable Lunar Gray Metallic color with Black Ebony leather interior. This car has the rare bespoke 2-tone headliner of black & beige matched with walnut wood dash. This car is in absolutely excellent Mechanical and Cosmetic condition. This is and has been a trouble free, headache free, and low maintenance car. The car has always been well taken care of. Always owned by gentleman owners and no cheap care was done. This is a true drivers car and is my daily driver and the next owner should have full confidence that this car is ready to go. Overview: In no way whatsoever has this car been plagued by the minor issues associated with the X150-XK series Jaguars. I am speaking very candidly on this matter; this truly is that special car that acts, performs, behaves, and drives like it was intended and engineered by the factory to do. It's rare to see this type of car with the attention to detail in regards to care, use, and general stewardship. I travelled out of state to buy this car and after having a Pre-Purchase-Inspection done, I immediately drove the 500 miles back to Texas in a straight-shot without even a hiccup. When I first purchased this car I was enamored with the looks and sexy Ian Callum-designed body, but on that drive home I absolutely fell in love with the raw performance and utter luxury that this British Marque GT-Coupe offered. It is simply stunning to look at from every single angle. The car has a distinct masculine and aggressive look that the XKR Coupes are known to have, but only those XKRs that come in the right color which show the curves, high-stance hips, aggressive grill, aggressive hood scoops, and quad-tip exhaust system. There is a MAJOR difference between owning a dark colored XKR coupe versus a light colored one. Why buy a car that was designed and looks like a refined masculine exotic sports car when you can't show off those defining features? The car always turns heads. It always elicits compliments and waves from other drivers. And when I park it anywhere, I always stand at a distance just to see people's reactions and admiration as they pass by and often taking pictures of the car. I am sincere in everything I've said here. I am a genuine car enthusiast and always take care of my cars, but this XKR coupe was simply a bucket-list car that I've always wanted and the only reason I am now selling it is because I want to replace it with its big brother an Aston Martin Vantage Coupe. There's no real way to describe how this car makes a person feel when sitting in it, driving it, and owning it. Honestly speaking it just gives you that ego boost and confidence to really do what you otherwise would not dare to do and always makes you smile and feel good. Mechanical Condition: The car has had a recent fresh oil change with Mobil-1 5W30 Full Synthetic oil. It always uses 93 Octane Chevron/Texaco gasoline. The tires have approximately 90% tread left. The brake pads have approximately 85% left. The brake rotors have approximately 85%. All standard fluids are up to spec and in tip-top shape. SUSPENSION: The shocks and full suspension system is absolutely tight and in excellent condition. This is crucial to understand. Things like rubber mounts, rubber bushings, springs, control arms, and shocks all have that tight-solid feel when driving like when it left the factory. Based on my miles and the miles of the owners before hand, I think the car was mostly driven on smooth hwy roads because it is so smooth and yet so solidly grounded. The car gripes superbly and handles very tight at high speeds. My average Hwy driving speed is often in excess of 80+ MPH and I am able to control the whole car with just a finger or two guiding the steering wheel. The car tracks Straight & True and is very well balanced. It doesn't pull either way and doesn't dance on the road, it simply stays perfectly center in the lane whether you're going 5 mph or 135 mph. The steering wheel is speed sensitive and so the faster you go the more responsive and tighter the steering input/feedback. There is no shaking or wobble in the steering wheel. The car is very well insulated from outside sound and doesn't rattle or have any noises. And when you are driving over speed bumps or rough road surface, the shocks easily accommodate the condition without giving you that "thud" or "clunk" sounds. This is what a luxury Grand Tourer should and must behave like. This is key when shopping for an XKR coupe. BRAKES: The brakes are simply in excellent condition. There is no other way to candidly put it. No squeals, No squeaks, No sounds, No brake pedal shaking. They grab very quickly and very responsively and will stop the car quickly enough so that anything laying in the passenger seat will easily fall forward to the passenger footwell. ENGINE: The Engine is the Factory 4.2L Super Charged V8. It comes from the factory with 420HP, but being that it has a Silverline Sport Exhaust system the power is now approximately 440HP. The exhaust was upgraded because the factory system is simply too quiet and not masculine enough for this engine and car. The sound is extraordinary when you get on the throttle or when you first cold-start the car. Anytime you press the accelerator the car lurches forward and the exhaust note is simply overwhelming. That being said, if you're driving it with an easy foot, then the exhaust note is very tame. The exhaust alone causes anyone around the car to turn their head and grab their attention. Engine wise the car is in absolutely perfect condition. No troubles, No leaks, No tick-sounds, No squeaking, No overheating, No weird sounds or noises; it's simply in honest superb condition. There's no other way to describe it candidly. Please know that this XKR is a virgin car aside from the exhaust system. All mechanical systems are as they left the factory and so it will qualify for an extended warranty should you desire to have it. The factory exhaust system does come with the car sale as well. TRANSMISSION: Transmission shifts superbly and excellently. Whether you are under hard acceleration from a stand still or you are under hard acceleration from 40mph to 80+ mph, the transmission shift smoothly and quickly and doesn't jerk or lag in the least bit. Same applies to paddle shifters which functions perfectly when you're in sport mode. Also note that when you're in Sport Mode and using the paddle shifters that the XKR has "Rev-Match" technology which is found on cars like Ferrari and which always ensures that upon downshifts there is no lag and that power is delivered and available instantaneously. ELECTRICAL: Everything electronic on the car works perfectly. No dash lights, No check engine lights, No fault codes, No loose wires, No "Fritzing" of the electrical systems. All buttons work perfectly as the should. The Touch Screen LCD unit functions perfectly. The A/C & Heating system functions perfectly, The heated seats function perfectly, The one-touch windows function perfectly, the memory and seat controls all function perfectly. The only modification was disabling the radio antenna from rising when you turn on the sound system. This was done by pulling the sole fuse that controls this feature and is easily reversed by putting the fuse back in. It is a normal thing to do by all Jaguar XK owners. I simply prefer the sleek look of the car without the antenna going up. It doesn't affect radio sound quality in my area and has zero impact if you are using the XM radio or CD player. Cosmetic Condition: EXTERIOR; The overall exterior condition and paint on the car is to be assumed as perfect and flawless. From the front lower nose and grill of the car, to the hood, to the side front fenders, to the roof, to the rear quarter panels, to the trunk, to the bumper the paint is in absolute excellent condition and looks like it did when it left the factory. The clear coat is intact all over the car and there is no "swirls" or "marks" from when the car gets washed. Under my ownership I've always hand washed it a minimum of once a week whether it was dirty or not. And I'll hand-detail "wet-wax" it once a blue moon to keep that gorgeous Lunar Gray Metallic paint shining deep and glass-like. All of this being said, and in the spirit of full disclosure, I will add that on the passenger side rear quarter panel in front of the rear wheel there are a few tiny chips from road rash. Because the color of the car is Gray Metallic it is very difficult to see them unless your eyes are trained to look for it. Additionally on the rear bumper there is a small half-dollar sized area where there is some light scratches. It was on the car when I first bought it and is also not noticeable unless you're at eye level or staring at it with a trained eye. I have described this accurately and honestly. INTERIOR: The interior is simply in perfect shape. This is not an overstatement or an exaggeration. The leather on all the seats is absolutely mint condition. There is no cracks, no tears, no wear. This is the Ebony leather trim and it's always cared for with leather conditioner at least once a month. Same goes for the Wood dash trim, Control buttons, steering wheel, steering wheel buttons, seat control buttons, leather shift knob, etc. Nothing is broken, no scratches, no cracks; Simply put nothing wrong. The driver seat on the lower lumbar support where you'd normally find the most wear is in great condition and the wear is more than acceptable and normal for a low sitting Sports Coupe. The car has a 2-tone bespoke headliner that is both Black & Beige. The rear window also has the shade cover however I don't use it as the tint is more than adequate to protect against the sun. Conclusion: Everything spoken here has been said very candidly and honestly. It's rare when looking for a used car of this caliber to find one in such excellent condition. Nothing has been exaggerated nor over-spoken on. This is a low miles example and I daily drive it and so the miles might fluctuate modestly. This car is a true all-year weather car and performs well in 100+ degree Texas summer days and freezing winter cold nights. Should the new owner desire to get an extended warranty they are more than welcome to, however based on my ownership this XKR has been truly headache free and with no faults and you'd save yourself that bit more of money. Please have full peace of mind and confidence in the car. Do not even think or believe or fear owning this XKR and it causing your headache. Keep in mind when all is said and done, underneath that British designed body everything is simply a FORD. I don't like to admit it, but the reliability is there and the care/maintenance is simple and easy. From changing the brakes, changing the tires, getting an oil change; all can be done at your local shop and not require a dealer visit. You are more than welcome to have a Pre-Purchase-Inspection done before you buy the car and have it shipped or fly into Dallas to drive it home. I will not hold it against the next potential owner in the least if there is a single fault found on the car and you want to back out of the deal. I'll easily refund your deposit but I am confident in how I've described the car and based on my ownership experience I know my XKR is in excellent shape. As I said, the only reason I am selling is because I am upgrading to an Aston Martin Vantage. The car comes with all books as well as 2 Key FOBS. If I've left anything out or you wish to ask any question then please feel free to do so. If you desire to see the car or hear the engine or exhaust or would like additional specific pictures then I can send them to you or Facetime you. I'm a true car enthusiast and will easily accommodate your needs. Upon seeking to purchase the car I ask for an immediate $500 deposit to ensure that you are serious. I will give a discount to true cash buyers. If you are seeking to obtain financing for the car then please tell me so before hand so that I can accommodate you. It's a clean title, accident free car. No worries there.
