Made in England. Color gold/tan. Passed 120,000 miles. Six cylinders with 4,200 cc. Not sure about HP, cannot find it in a booklet. Automatic Transmission Borg-Warner Model 66 – three speed. Problems: Few scratches and paint deterioration of 32 years ware and tare. Has two gasoline tanks, but one is currently malfunctioning and is closed. Has cruise control, but it is not workingThe end of left exhaust pipe is missing but the noise is not increased.The main problem is big rust beneath the chase. Some serious work should be done in this area. Good things: Runs smooth.Engine never touched by the mechanic (never repaired)Tires almost new.Interior is in great condition.Radio with cassette player in very good conditionAll original booklets are intact.Registered until next yearThe car still looks great.

This Classic Jaguar XJ6 is in overall exceptionally good condition. With only 94,256 miles on it, there are only problems associated with age, not abuse. The interior is excellent for its age. Leather is not split, even in the driver's seat. The wood trim is very good, and includes the door wood trim typical of the Vanden Plas model. There is an after market steering wheel. The engine runs and does not smoke, transmission shifts smoothly, and no excessive wear noises are evident. The chrome and glass is all good. There are some problems. The rear fender area on the driver's side has rust. Its a strange place to rust out, I have had several XJ6's and have another one now, not a speck of rust in this area. The passenger side does not have any sign of the same rust out. The lower pan under the trunk also has some rust out, but all very fixable. Also, the car has the dual tanks, very cool or very weird depending on your passion. The left tank is shut down as the system is slightly confused, gas likes to fill it from the right side. Its likely just a switch problem, it runs on the right side just fine. The headliner needs gluing up. Typical of this era Jaguar. Other than that, this is a great car to spruce up and get to drive a luxury car on a budget. They handle like a race car, the engines are legendary. It looks and feels upscale. But it is a Jaguar. You will have to touch it from time to time, usually electrically. The Jaguar joke is that there is always something that does not work on a Jaguar. True. You get used to it. Not asking a lot for this car. Make an offer. If you are local, I will deliver it.

Beautifully handles the road, the jaguar ride. Second owner purchased in 1998 as a second car in KC, so did not get much mileage, and has been garaged most of its life. We are now in NJ and in last couple years has not been driven much so would like to sell it. The car runs well and the interior is in great shape. Two areas for attention are - the exterior trunk lid and front hood paint is washed out in areas. Also on the inside - the ceiling cloth has come loose from the adhesive in the back seat area, so its loose rather than tightly attached. I believe these have been considered in the lower price.
