Purchased the vehicle on June 9, 2003. Have the Thunderbird hub caps in trunk. Vehicle runs good & would be a good vehicle for someone with mechanical abilities. Vehicle has the original Ford 390 factory installed engine.

This car fresh out of the barn and there is no reserve on the auction. This car is a little rough perhaps it is basically a parts car, or but I have seen far worse restored to pristine condition and this one has some good bones. It is missing the motor but is otherwise pretty complete. If you are restoring a car like this, it would be a great car to pick the parts you need for your restoration and sell off the rest and break even or perhaps make a little extra to fund your restoration. Priced to sell! Finish -- Grade D-: Very weathered, appears it may have been re-painted since new. Body -- Grade C-: Body has some great sheet metal; doors, trunk lid, hood and front fenders are very solid and rust free. Please view photos closely. Drivers quarter, front floorboards and trunk have heavy rust Trim Code info: Body Color Trim Date DSO Axle Trans63A P 76 04B 57 1 4 Frame -- Grade B-: Some scale but solid with no rust or damage. Frame is straight and never damaged in an accident. Bumpers - Grade C-: Bumpers are straight originals with patina. Bright work – Grade B : All trim is on the car. Other then some some very light patina is all original and will clean up well. Glass Grade B+ : All original glass in very good condition. All rubber and fuzzies are original and will need replacement. Interior D- : It has been disassembled, unsure why, however appears complete other them missing rear bottom seat cushions, some water and rodent damage Wheels Grade OK : Factory correct steel wheels 14 X 6 missing factory original hubcaps Tires Grade C : Early bias ply tires, weather checking, excellent tread, holds air, rolls down the road smooth, no idea on the age, will need to be replaced due to age. Suspension Grade OK: Visual check, is complete with no signs of damage. Exhaust Grade NOT OK: No exhaust system whatsoever. Rear-end Grade OK: Numbers matching original rear 9 inch factory differential. Transmission Grade OK: Out of car but is the original transmission Brakes Grade E: Power Brakes with drums all around. Missing power booster and master cylinder Engine Grade E: Missing engine but do have the radiator, carb and generator. Summary: I see this as a great car for parts for your restoration, if you are restoring a car this would be a great car to pick the parts you need from and sell off the rest and break even or even make a little extra to fund your restoration. I have seen far worse restored, and this could be a great base for a restoration/hot rod project due it being fairly complete and really cheap. For sale my 1962 Ford Thunderbird: The good: Car runs great and drives like it should it has a new brake system, tires and American racing torque thrust rims. The battery is one year old and has been recently tuned up. Carb has been adjusted, timing was adjusted and the distributer was addressed this year. The carpets are new and sets are in good condition. Headliner is a little dirty but no rips. It is a southern car I bought in off of my late great Uncles estate four years ago and brought it up to Michigan from Tennessee. Over all I give this car a 6.5 out of 10. From everything I can see it has an original 390 motor and transmission. Now the bad the dash and radio will need to be addressed if you want the interior to be complete. The paint on both doors and the drivers rear quarter panel would need to be addressed to make it a great car. But like I said its a 6.5 and is a driver not a show car. Good condition 1961 Tbird. Runs good. Body is good. Transmission is fine, carb has been rebuilt. Tires are good, radio works AM only. Brakes have been redone. (Still a squeak on brakes though). New gas tank last year. Steering wheel swings to the side for easy entry and exit. I have original air filter cover. All gauges work except for the clock. All lights work. Power steering works. Car is equipped with factory air. All glass is good. Power windows work but back windows are slow. 79,559 miles. Has been repainted at some point. Issues- minor rust, hole in drivers side floor pan size of a nickel, air conditioning does not cool down car, separation in rear seat upholstery, squeak in brakes, dash is cracked. I have had this car for 3 years and it's been a lot of fun. This is not a show car. It's a good driver. I have a fairly low reserve on this auction. 1977 Ford Thunderbird, 2-door, Red with white landau roof, 351 cu. in. V-8 engine, with 72,300 actual miles. Brakes, tires, exhaust all in great condition. It is a 1978 Ford Thunderbird, with a recently rebuilt 460 engine and transmission. Engine & Trans has less than 1000 miles on it. Has original looking stereo, but updated stereo in the glove box.
