Time to let one of my turbocoupes go, this is a nice low 68,875 mile 1 owner car that I purchased from the estate of the original owner, the car was sitting for years in probate and will require some mechanical work before putting back on the road but does run and drive as is . This car didn't run when I purchased it only due to it sitting for a length of time. I have replaced the fuel tank, fuel pump & strainer, fuel gauge sending unit, fuel filter, fuel injectors, and battery. The bird starts right up and the motor sounds very good, the transmission shifts nice and it goes down the road decent, brakes feel good, suspension rattled a few times, I suspect a bad front sway bar bushing. For a short period of time I would have called the car drivable but after a short ride around town on a repair plate the oil seal in the turbo started to show signs of failure and will need to be addressed as after it runs for awhile it starts to smoke as the oil leaks into the motor. The car is very much so original, the interior is very nice and clean, the body is decent but has dings here and there on the sides from shopping carts i'm assuming, the left rear quarter was repainted as well as the header panel, and the hood has 2 dents in it, rust is minimal. There is rust along the rear window trim but not bad, some on the inside of door jambs and underside of floors all of which are just surface corrosion and nothing you could jab a tool through, I'm just trying to be as honest as can be describing the car. All in all it is a nice low mileage car in my opinion as I have owned 12 of these tbirds through my life and have come to know them very very well. These cars have jumped very fast in value in the last few years and are starting to bring good money, so here's your chance to get one that will require some work but by all means isn't a junker and is very well worth investing in. Also since I have owned so many of these cars I have stripped a lot as well and I do have everything needed to convert this car to a 5 speed, that I would sell separately. Ct doesn't title cars of this vintage and will be sold on a bill of sale as well as all the estate and probate records. please ask questions if you have them or if you would like to speak to me

for sale is my beloved 85 turbocoupe that I have bought from its original owner who was a tech inspector for lime rock race park here in ct and was raced in a production stock class dury the first few years of its life. this car has almost every rare motorsports performance part that was available when he bought it as well as a ton of modern performance parts I installed. first this car has never seen snow and has an almost perfect body outside of some chips and scratches. the original owner installed a factory front mount intercooler kit from ford that was made by spearco, rf upper and lower intake manifolds, eibach lowering springs, koni adjustable shocks, a quick ratio power rack, and urethane suspension bushings all his work was dated and documented with his service records. I bought this car 7 years ago and have driven it every were including cross country as I love these cars and have always owned one since 1993. What I have done to this car is first I started with a low mileage 80,000 mile 88 drive train, had the cylinder head reworked with a very expensive boport 1.5 high performance roller cam, followers and lifters the car is run through a la2 ecu with a custom flashed superchip as well, it uses the large vam with the air temp circuit added to the upper intake, pulling through a k&n filter, has 35lb injectors with an accufab boost refrenced adjustable fuel pressure regulator that's fed from a walbro 255 pump, the turbo is a garret t3 mounted to the larger 88 e7 exhaust manifold running 19lbs of boost with a stinger 3.5" stainless down pipe and 3" single exhaust with an ultraflow muffler. The transmission is a world class t5 from the 88 with a heavy duty clutch and short throw shifter. It also was converted to a twin electric cooling fan set up from the 88 I stripped, one fan is controlled by the pcm the other is on a manual switch for back up if caught in traffic. I have sunk thousands into this car and really don't want to sell it but with age comes changes of interest and I don't have the room for this car indoors anymore and instead of watching this car go down hill I would rather it go to someone who would care for it the way the original owner and I did. the car was painted 5 years ago to clone my first car, it was originally a gray car that I painted a newer Cadillac silver, it is painted in ppg base clear and looks decent though I did not do the jambs or color sanded and buffed the clear out, but it was painted in a real booth and has minimal dust spots and the gray jambs blend in with the gray interior. the interior is the only thing really showing its age the carpets are badly stained, the seats are not ripped but are sun faded and some of the plastic in the door panels are falling apart. the car has had a hella head light conversion and mustang cobra r wheels installed, rims are 17x8 and 17x9 tires are fair (5 years old) the rear end is the original 342 posi and does make some noise from age but not bad as I trusted it from ct to florida and back for the 2013 Daytona turkey run. All in all this car isn't a cheap beater and after that list I hope you know why the price reflects that as I intended on owning this car forever. mechanically the car is very solid but the a/c clutch will need replacing and I might have smelled the 5th heater core in this car starting to seep possibly, the body presents well and has no rust the undercarriage is perfect both owners have pressure washed it and fluid filmed it every few years. also while coming back from florida I got caught in a 3 hour traffic jamb and over heated the clutch disc, it doesn't slip but will chatter lightly on hill if you try to slip it. ask all and any questions
