1969 MACH 1 BIG BLOCK 390 4BBL=================================RARE S CODE MACH 1================================== MARTI REPORT ************************ORIGINAL MATCHING NUMBERS This is a true survivor Acapulco Blue Big Block 390 Mach 1 which is buck tagged with a GT option package along with a deluxe white luxury interior . There is said to have been less than 1500 S code Mach 1 's built for 1969 making this Mach 1 a very rare collector find ! The history of this particular Mach 1 is as follows . It's original Connecticut owner drove the car for a little under 40,000 miles till around 1984 . At that time the car sat in storage for the next 20 years until the second owner bought it in 2004 and proceeded to repaint the car in it's original color and add new carpet in the interior along with a new headliner . Mechanical R& R was also preformed including new brakes and power steering repairs . In 2008 the car was sold to it's 3rd owner who continued to maintain the car with new suspension parts including rear springs and bushings , shocks, brake calipers , tune up as well as a new Holley four bbl carb and engine bay dress up . Less than 5000 miles have been driven by the past 2 owners . All receipts are included along with the original 4bbl carburetor . This Mach has never undergone a full restoration . It retains it's original rust free sheet metal . The paint is older and shows it's age with the patina that can be expected ( paint touch ups and a few dings as shown in photos below ) .The interior is in great condition and everything functions , even the Clock and Rim Blow steering wheel ! The drive train is solid . The motor starts cold with a pump of the gas pedal and warms to a smooth but aggressive idle . The car drives at 60 mph with ease and the C6 transmission shifts smooth and solid with an easy second gear tire chirp ! The brakes are in great condition and will stop you with confidence . All the suspension and front end joints are up to date and perform very well . Here is a piece of Mustang History that is amongst the most sort after Models that exist today . This is for sure a time capsule item and is one very attractive and desirable color combinations . White interiors are rare to find ! This as stated wears a buck tag that states it is Mach with a GT package and is confirmed by Marti in the engine code as 390 4bbl GT . *The car is missing the driver side rocker molding and has been ordered and will be put on before the car gets sold . * Again , I express this is an unrestored original survivor and is in great condition for a 47 year old car. It can be driven daily or for leisure . To have a perfect Restored Car you will have a genuine Rare Mach 1 to make a perfect Show Car with this one ! HERE' S A PRETTY RARE FIND. A 1969 MUSTANG MACH 1 428 SUPER COBRA JET DRAG PACK. JUST PURCHASED FROM THE LONG TIME OWNER. CAR WAS RACED IN ITS EARLY YEARS. ORIGINAL ENGINE. POWER STEERING , DISC BRAKES AND RAM AIR COMPONENTS ARE NO LONGER WITH THE CAR. CAR HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN IN ABOUT 20 YEARS AND WAS VERY NICE UNTIL ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO WHEN THE OWNER NEEDED GARAGE SPACE AND PUT THE CAR IN HIS DRIVEWAY WITH A COVER ON IT. THATS WHERE I FOUND IT. THIS IS A GREAT PROJECT HERE'S A FEW DETAILS ENGINE: ORIGINAL 428 WAS REPLACED AT SOME POINT WITH 1970 351 CLEVELAND. ENGINE IS SUPPOSE TO HAVE LESS THEN 1000 MILES ON IT. IT STARTS RIGHT UP AND SOUNDS GOOD WITH OUT ANY SMOKE OR ODD NOISES TRANSMISSION: C6 AUTOMATIC I HAVE DRIVEN THE CAR AROUND THE BLOCK AND IT SHIFTS THRU ALL THE GEARS AND DRIVERS PRETTY NICE. BUT PLEASE DONT EXPECT TO DRIVE IT HOME. IT HAS NOT BEEN ON THE ROAD IN ALMOST 20 YEARS. BODY NEEDS SOME REPAIRS SUCH AS DECK LID, BOTTOMS OF DOORS. QUARTERS CAN BE SAVED . TAIL PANEL. . PAINT. NEEDS NEW DRIVES SIDE DOOR GLASS IS OFF THE TRACK. UNDER SIDE OF CAR ISN'T TO BAD . (SEE PICTURES) BOTH FRONT FLOOR PANS NEED SOME ATTENTION. ALL FRAME RAILS ARE GOOD.THERES A FEW SALL HOLES IN THE TRUNK. INTERIOR LOOKS VERY NICE. BRAKES WORK BUT ARE SPONGY. ALL IN ALL A VERY RARE MUSTANG PROJECT THAT WITH SOME WORK CAN BE DRIVEN NOW OR RESTORE IT BACK TO ORIGINAL. AND HAVE A VERY HIGH DOLLAR CAR.
