New clutch, aftermarket Kenwood stereo with Alpine Amp, sub, and kenwood speakers, A/C. bluetooth, satellite radio, K &N air filter, LED headlights, power top, New black cloth top in great condition (replaced 2 years ago and has always been kept under the parade boot), 5 speed manual transmission, cruise control, new Pony rims, new Cooper Zeon ZPT tires. up for auction is my 89 mustang gt convertible 5.0 with 5 speed manual transmission. car is in nice shape but not perfect considering it is nearly 30 years old. has stock original engine and transmission with just a flowmaster exhaust and cold air intake. engine is stock otherwise. has 17" saleen sc rep wheels with nearly new tires. car as been lowered all around. has brand new top which work's as designed. new front and rear seat covers and new door panels. the previous owner started to convert the interior over to all black as it was originally red from the factory. has the black seat belts, rear carpet pieces and few other trim items the comes with the car. The real thing ! A matching numbers car. This may be what your looking for. I've had this car for about ten years. It took me two years of searching at the time to find the right one. Anyone car piece together a car. Look at all the Shelby clones. Once everythings been apart you never know exactly what got swapped out during the process. It's a high option car with the best color combination ! What makes a K is the factory Shelby type drive train and suspension. I've had early Shelbys and it's the same great driving sensation ! I bought this car from a mustang collector in Sarasota Florida about nine years ago. The car had been stripped to bare metal and restored correctly about 12 years ago. The completely original 50,000 mile drivetrain remains untouched. It still runs perfectly and is very fast. The bottom of the car has not been steam cleaned and painted that ridiculous "red oxide" . I'm not sure where all that came from, but it's certainly not original. The cars had very little oxide primer showing and it was much darker than what people are spraying. The cars had a touch of body color showing and the rest of the chassis was sprayed with body shuts, a type of undercoat. And sprayed heavy in all four wheel wells. Back to the drivetrain. The original patina is on all parts. Nothing has been wrenched or taken apart. Nothing has been steamed, blasted, scrubbed or refinished in anyway. "ALL" of the original factory part tags are still in place on the engine, the transmission and the rear axle. The transmission code is 289 Close ratio. The 9" is it's original date coded bottle neck with 3:50 ratio. On the engine, the heads, manifolds, the distributer all match. Of course the block itself has it's original vin stamp. See pictures. The only non original piece is the carb. It has a replacement manual choke Holley . This carb. works so well and runs so good I see no reason to remove it. I also have a manual choke Autolite I purchased that will go with the car. It also sports it's original styled steel wheels and rally pack, not repos. It also has factory disc brakes with a upgraded dual master. It has a real Cobra steering wheel [much easier to turn]. and the best original style '65 Cobra valve covers from Tony Branda. Also has a correct battery, not just a silly" topper" The paint is still in beautiful shape. Obviously a high quality restoration. No dents, rust, chips, cracking, pealing, fading, shrinking, bubbling, etc, etc ! Looks like it was done last year. Partly due to the care I've given it. Chrome and stainless are excellent. Also, every panel fits perfectly ! You can take one finger and click close the hood, trunk and either door ! It stays covered and in the heated garage attached to my house. It Rarely goes out. According to the actual miles title it has only been driven 2581 in the last 11 years. The convertible is by far the rarest K code. Estimates are only a few hundred real ones left, out of approximately 1000 new. There are approximately twice as many Hipo coupes and three times as many Hipo fastbacks made. Here's your opportunity.
