As seen on the pictures this Galaxie is in great condition. The good: -Recent Tune-up (wires, plugs, oil change, carb cleaning and tune). -Restoration 8 years ago, by previous owner - garage kept ever since. -Paint in very good condition – not great due to a couple of chips on hood, and a scratch on the rear quarter. -No rust, minus some minor surface rust on exhaust. -Newer big loop carpet, with marching “Galaxie” stitched floor mats. -Sony Head unit with 6x9s in the rear and a small amplifier in the trunk for music. -Factory power steering -Factory AC car (missing compressor) -Front brake disc conversion The bad: -The transmission has an extremely slow leak (maybe a couple of drops daily) and probably needs a new seal. The C4 transmission shifts fine and I monitor the transmission fluid level - I have added fluid once since I purchased it in July of 2013. I was planning on installing a 390 with a C6, which is why I never bothered dealing with the leak. I drive it weekly and it runs fine. -The previous owner cut a couple of coils from the rear springs for the stance, so while it looks good, it bounces when you hit consecutive bumps on the road. (trying to be as forth coming as possible – no surprises here) -As listed above, the vehicle is missing the compressor. The condenser and blower are installed in the vehicle, but since I have never had the AC running, I am not sure if these components are operational. -The exhaust consists of glass packs (cherry bombs) which have run their course and could be changed. It sounds throaty at idle and from light to light, but can get annoying on the highway for extended periods of time. Overall the vehicle is in great condition. I get stares and complements everywhere and it has never overheated or left me stranded. I dont need to sell the vehicle, but would like something a little more modern for spirited driving, than the cruising afforded by this beautiful car. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
